Gonna try to hop in the next Iso run. Probably a blaster since I only ever tried one... ever. Not sure which one yet. Just not fire (did it) and not the rifle one. Open to suggestions.

Nice, the more the merrier!

Energy has some nice, visceral punch to it with all the KB. You can have fun annoying teammates, while really knowing you're helping them out.

Electricity is pretty nifty, too... I haven't gotten to the point where I can be a Sapper of sorts, but it's still fun. Archery is great, too. Love the
"thwip, thwip" sound of launching arrows... and Rain of Arrows (the crashless nuke) is just awesome.

I have level 50 blasters of the following: fire/fire, en/en, ice/ice, and elec/elec (can you spot the theme? :0 ).

Fire and energy are very similar in power choice and damage. Fire is less resisted but you can get screwed out of some of your dot by, well, killing the enemy early. Elec is the best looking, imho, but it lacks a high damage attack and only has one aoe. Ice has only one aoe, but hits harder on single targets then most sets.

Psi/mind isn't that bad either. I have one a 50

Psi/Em is a hard hitter.

I dislike repeating power sets, and I have Nrg/dark and Fire/pain corruptors, so the next blaster whether in Isos or not will be a rad/em.

Just wanted to say welcome back, Hamster!

Londer and I never manage to make it to Isos, but I'm sure we'll be up for TFs at some point soon.

As far as blasters go, I have two: 45ish Sonic/Electric and 27ish Archery/MM. They're both fun and play pretty differently. The Sonic/Elec is much more of a blapper, and while the Arch/MM is still developing, she's a ton of fun and much more of a ranged blaster.

I've changed the Isolators social group to Moderated because most people weren't accepting their invites because you really have to search for them and I hadn't invited a comprehensive list anyway.

I still retain absolute power over the group, so it's all good.

Two weeks, roughly. If I16 Open Beta goes fast, we might even start with the new Issue.

We've always had bad luck getting new Issues and Iso starts to line up.

Yeah. If I16 looks like it's going to hit soon after Isos starts, I might just play catch up with a new guy. Or just drop out like I usually do.

Leaning towards an electric blaster. Did the archery thing with a defender. As well as sonic with my rad/sonic. I guess I could try ice since everyone says it does nice single target damage. But the sapping part of the electric sounds like a fun aspect to it.

It's not quite as effective as you would think. You have to be slotted for it to actually notice it, and you only get the end transfer through single target attacks.
