Hopefully people will post pictures! I'm waiting for someone to create a thread for it. I only took a couple meaningless pictures at the con myself so I wouldn't be in the position to create one with content. The other cosplayers were pretty good! I REALLY liked that guy in the top hat, medical mask, and black suit. He participated in the costume contest as well, but didn't win. I really wanted to know what his global name was...

I'm pretty sure I'll be going as be a female Chief Juicer from the Freakshow next year. Some guy was helping me a bit through going about the two electrical rod-things on the shoulders. It would be difficult to make, but the payoff would be worth it. I want to kick butt in next year's costume contest so bad! >.<

It's a shame that you didn't win, but honestly it seems like quite a few people did in fact appreciate your work and effort enough to come and tell you that they believed in your costume. That's quite a nice thing to have, the appreciation from your fellow man.

But honestly, the experience itself was the important thing here. You lived out everything you could have at the con, so there will be *no* lamenting back to what might have happened or what could have been. No, Miss Cashoo, you in fact experienced the totality of what was to be had. You can always carry that with you now and your memories of the event are complete.

Plus, you grew a little bit as a person. Reached a little beyond your own comfort level and for that, we're all proud of you. Next year, it will be all the more easy for you to dress up again and enter the contest once more. The fight today makes the fight tomorrow just a little bit easier.

Well done, Cashoo. I really hope you had a good time.

You're totally right, Suichiro, and I definitely learned a lot. It was a truly enriching experience and I came out of it with a newer mindset.

Eddy - He was bombarded with costume-related questions all day! We talked about it briefly when we ate, but I didn't want to bother him with more requests. The poor guy had to at least enjoy his dinner.

And a female Juicer Chief (those are my favorite Freaks!). Possibly a reference for next year's cosplay, but that's a loooong time from now. Also, female Freaks would be more muscular from all the Excelsior pumping through them.

I have an unused serial code for a Praetorian Clockwork costume. I don't want it, and I'm sure there's someone else out there that didn't attend HeroCon that wants it. I don't know how I would choose which individual to give it to. I might hold a contest or a raffle or something.

I've been watching this thread and have a toon that I think you may enjoy drawing. She is a claws/Willpower brute. Her powers are tied in with the Rularuu from the shadow shard.



In the game I can't really represent her powers the way I imagined them but this pic is as close as it comes. She is supposed to be somewhat like venom in the texture of her suit and the way that it just sorta comes from nowhere on her. The claws are Rularuu's Talons. My favorite weapon in the game. The biggest difference from the pic to the version in my head is that it would also have scattered yellow Rularuu esque eyes on the black junk. Sort of like this:

Dr_HR's toon looks awesome - great arts as always! You definitely caught the whole "The World Must Be Crushed" vibe!

As for the female Juicer Freak, I love what ya got going there... I don't think you have to go overboard with the muscles at all. Maybe a tad more in the arms but neither Bile or (probably more importantly) Clamor are really BUILT.

At the very least you lost to people who deserved it, instead of losing to someone who's related to one of the judges or something. But man, if that she-Freak pic is a sign of next year's project, you're gonna sweep all categories.

And your rendition of Dr HR's character there is bloody amazing, you can just imagine the harsh militaristic marching tune to go with it.

As for the Clockie code, jolly decent of you to want to try and give it to someone =D
