P.S. Something's not quite right about her (camera left) knee. I'll politely refrain from describing what it's shape suggests to me.

I think Cashoo is full for commission at the moment, either that or dAs communication lines are all busted...or I'm really that annoying have have been refused a response, eheh ^^;

Would love to get a commission done of Alpha himself. I may just have to wait a bit for a slot to free up.

Don't sweat it Techbot, I paid for my slots 1+ years ago and am still waiting for 3 of the 4... So she must be really, really busy.

Cash has been really busy lately with all the stuff going on in her life, so make sure and leave her a DA note inquiring about the old commission work. She may have lost track of it entirely.

Obviously that is the first route one should take, and that I did take. First notes went unanswered. Then eventually they were answered and she noted that yes, some people do find a one year wait a bit excessive...

Then two months ago, in this thread, she mentioned them herself... And thankfully she did complete the one of the four that was a prize for someone in one of my very first contests (the first?) so yeah, I went through the channels.

Frankly the fact that I said something publicly is me just giving up on my efforts and facing the fact that I was ripped off. My opinion is that going public is not a way into an artists good graces and frankly after that I pretty much assume any art the artist does do to fulfil the contract will not be their best work... So at this point, whatever, I'm just hoping to let others know they may have an insanely long wait... if not an eternal one.


And all in all, the "she's busy lately" doesn't hold water after a year plus. I am willing to be patient. I'm willing to be insanely patient. But that willingness is mainly contingent upon the artist being responsive to notes the first time, on them not taking more business and completing that when other stuff is long, long due... I have a couple others I have been wiating for almost as long, but the artists reply to each note, they also take it upon themselves to note me before I even get around to noting them... They don't keep taking on more work while leaving me hanging.

Ah well. I've been ripped off. It's not the only time. Only reason I am saying anything is because others have expressed interest in hiring her and as I consider the people on the forum as friends (or at least friendly) I feel it's my responsibility to clue them in as to how that hiring may turn out.


So yeas, by all means feel free to commission Cashoo when she opens again if you want... When she does deliver the results are spectacular. Just be aware the wait may be years or forever. Obviously the mileage varies greatly as some of commissioned her lately and gotten great stuff in a timely matter.

I'm not going to defend anyone's side for coming in with commissioned art late, but I know that all of the people I've seen have gotten their art, even after a lengthy wait. When she originally did her commissions, she even said her turnaround time for new customers was months long. But eventually she always followed through.

Now, I don't know your side of things to be able to judge anything here. So that's why I said, make sure to contact her again. While it's her fault that she took so long, you may just be a single message away from having your orders fulfilled. Though if you want to just give up on it, then that's fine too, I suppose.

And I'm not trying to slam her... She does amazing work, has done scad-loads of freebies and that's all to be respected.

Just echoing that Cashoo sometimes takes forever to respond. I noted her for a commission way back when she
started this thread and she took like 4 months (and two more notes as well) to get back to me.
I Pm'd her here a couple times as well although to be fair her CoH account
may or may not have lapsed some time after I sent them?

I got tired of waiting and let it go. I'm patient but not that patient.

Shortly thereafter she did a freebie for me in this thread and I agree
with most everyone here that her artwork is exceptional and I am happy with and
appreciative of the art she did of my character, just not thrilled with the lack of communication.

Sidenote: She is very responsive if you ask her something during a livestream but people
are there to chat, have fun and watch her create stuff... it didn't seem like a good time to bring up business.
