So far I am not impressed. I've lost all my personal contact info and I can't navigate easily, and the layout is distracting.
This does not initially appear to be an improvement, but then again I'm not paying for it. I'm sure I will get accustomed to it eventually but right now it seems like they are trying to hard, that makes me worry for the game itself.

It seems harder to read to me. Not sure exactly why, but I think it has to do with the lack of solid-color backgrounds.
Edit: And what is that bar above avatars?
Personally I find it easier to read; the blue backgrounds are a bit darker and less saturated, making it easier for me to see the white.
As for the bar, I think that's a result of avatars not being exactly 100x100, but don't quote me on that. I haven't tested it yet.
This one is exactly 100 x 100, so I'm not sure why it looks like the space is meant for a taller one.
It's just a border, I believe.
I miss the old forum index. It was easier for me to follow.
and photobucket is not really good working with these avatar systems, tinypic is perfect though.
