I just hope the power colour changes are more permanent than the chat colour changes

On a somewhat unrelated note, I just want to take a second to thank you guys for being so positive and excited about this feature that's consumed so much of my life for so long. It's been a very long haul and tremendous amount of work from many people on the team. Your excitement about this feature is making it so much easier for me to continue to be excited about it, and that's making it a lot nicer to get through the final stretches of finishing this issue up and into your hands. I can't speak for the other people who've done a tremendous amount of work on this feature as well, but for me personally...it's a huge deal.
The handful of non-glowing responses I've seen have been very reasonable and more in the realm of disappointed but still understanding. For that I'm exceedingly grateful.
So thanks for staying positive and constructive, it makes reading the forums so much easier and working on this game so much more rewarding.

Spectral Wounds looks well cool when there's no model in the middle screwing it up.
That pink Spirit Tree is Urrgh though (a taste of things to come). Blue Audrey II looks cool though, as do a lot of the other colourisations.

Which makes me wonder about buff powers, if someone buffs you with a power that creates an aura or armour will you be subjected to their choice of power colouring? If that's the case I would love a way for players to be able to shift+right-click a buff power icon to deactivate it if they want to.
I would expect the buff/debuff to be the colour of the buffer. It's their power so it makes sense that way.

Very good question to which we hopefully will get an answer-and in fact they should make a way to opt out from horrible buff colour schemes.
That's some cool stuff right there, I will admit. Love the blue healing flames, and means my fire/fire scrapper will no longer suffer the pain of green healing fire.

Or an option to totally avoid a buff - like you get a promt box, and say yes or no to the buff.

Another exciting part of PC is that new enemies and revamps of older ones will quite possibly have customized powers now - like Mother Mayhem now appears to lead a group of "Seers" in Praetoria instead of the Crazed she has now, so they might have purple colored psychic powers instead of the default pink ones, to match her outfit.

Oh god no..
Anything but that.. Imagine every time someone casts SB, AM, whatever, you have to do the clickety..
Better give an option in the menu that suppresses the custom buffcolors or something.

While I can understand your worry, I personally think that it shouldn't happen like that. This person is using THEIR power on you, so the colour should refelct that.
Although if we had 2 bubbled defenders in a team with different colours that could look crazy.
Okay, now I'm now going to have to make a bubbler in bright rainbow colours just to annoy all the ridiculously macho types.
Me: "Gather for bubbles!"
Them: "Now way! I do not want pink and orange bubbles while I'm killing things!"

On WoW, you can right click on a buff icon to remove it from yourself.
Say someone casts Power Word: Fortitude on you. With a simple Right Click on the icon at the top of your screen, the buff disappears.
Option to reset powers ON YOU to default:
Yes. Its an option, some people wont mind the colours, others might. So give them a choice.
I could see it getting annoying having bright multicoloured shields. Especially if they clash Im an artist, clashes offend my eyes

I just thought - if you can set the animations per costume like you can the colors, then you could do something like make a 4 foot pixe using the MA kicks, then use a cc emote and become a 7 foot Huge model using the MA alternative punch animations
