Costumes with an historical flavour

Okay, okay, I wasn't entirely sure if this should be in Jay's thread but I've had a few ideas over the weekend re: historical costumes.

We can unlock Greek-themed togas/sandals/hair(!) from the Valentine's Event.

We can unlock Roman armour from the ITF.

We have access to the Valkyrie parts via the Mac Pack.

We, as Veterans, have access to Samurai Armour.

We also have some fairly shoddy 'pieces' at the moment (Egyptian headdress, viking horns, saxon helmet - please remind me of the rest if you feel the need)

I'd like to see some full costume sets with an historical flavour please. The following would be coolawesomesauce:

<ul type="square">Egyptian - to include headwear options, make-up options, wristbands, cloth tops, tunics and a 'Horus/Osiris/Isis' emblem (much like Horus's chest emblem from the Top Cow run).

Wild West - although we have cowboy boots and dusters it would be nice to have another hat, maybe a neckerchief shoulder option, a proper leather/normal waistcoat, chaps and boots with spurs. With the advent of Dual Pistols coming Soon, I think a full Wild West/Gunslinger costume set would be a nice touch.

Vampire/Vampyre/Vamp (depending on Gothiness ) - Some more low necklines, maybe a longer slit-skirt, a BIG collar cape, some BIG hair (for the ladies - think Elvira - with an option of having a mallen streak/badger stripe). It is much easier now, imo, to create a classic vampire look but there's still plenty of room for a full set. Web lace design sheer tops for females, bat emblems (no, not THAT bat emblem ). Oh and a 'stake' skin option for Dual Blades

WWI/II soldier gear - Proper camouflage options with a more old-fashioned look/feel to the costumes. The current military options are either a bit modern (military jacket, camo trousers) or hilariously OTT (epaulets, especially the spikey and giant varieties).

Elizabethan (insert other major Colonial power for Europe etc here) - Ruffs, plunging necklines, tights/leggings for gents, bustles for ladies and buckled shoes for all! Elizabethan would work quite well with any Carnie-themed villain/hero/rogue(!), imo.[/list]
That's all for now. Just a few random thoughts with no evidence for what I meant them to look like. If this does get shunted over to Jay's Costume Thread then I will attempt to do all that malarkey there.

Yes, yes and yes! New costume parts are always a good idea! After watching Valkyrie last night I would love one of those WWII German officer jackets!

More costume stuff. Haven't had any decent costume stuff in a long while. Sure, I15 gives us some faces and such but, considering how appaling most of the current ones are, they either need to do a lot more costume stuff, or at least revamp some of the old bits.

But, oh yeah, the NC costume designer does what *he* wants to do, and only comes up with two sets every once in a blue moon.
Goit.

I'm not sure they'd make flags, as they'd have to make almost evey flag in the world then, just in case someone felt left out.

yay, i knew holland isn't the smallest country

anyway, why only history clothing, what about mythical parts, like 4 arm's and an animal body part.
it doesn't have to be spider and horse backs(tho, would be awesome), there is also the faun.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faun
yes we can have the legs, but that's kinda incomplete.....

You can get pretty convincing looking fauns/satyrs with the parts we have (need to either take a screenie of the one I've saved as a costume or get around to finish and publish a mission utilizing it). Even acceptable looking harpies are possible with creative usage of the costume parts.
What I'd really love to have when it comes to parts for mythological beasts is a cyclops head or extra arms.

On the historical side I'd love to see more greek/roman designs and preferably have them available for new characters rather than having to get to 35 and finish a TF before getting a character to look as intended.

All they could really add is Toga's etc but we can get the at Valentines Day after running a Snaptooth mish. Having Roman armour would make one of the main rewards redundant unfortunately

Not necessarily... they could very well add roman-style sandals (about the same height as boots), a two-part tunic (baggy chestpiece with T-shirt sleeves + kilt/skirt), different togas (keeping the current one for the Valentine event), greek helmets, appropriate belt(s), greek breastplate (vastly different from the roman lorica segmentata).
All of that would be possible without invalidating the cimeroran content, though I think that having to unlock that content for each character seperately rather than the whole account was a bad idea to begin with.

Some other historical styles that would be lovely.

The British Redcoat with Pith helmet and his counterpart the Zulu warrior (We got the shield, now the rest)

If we got cowboys then where are the Native Americans?

And most importantly:

The true bowler hat for the proper English Gentleman.
