You aren't alone on that matter. That option will apparently be part of the upcoming Super Science booster pack. Even though we'll have to pay for it, it's a feature I'm looking forward to.

Colour customisation doesn't impress me. I want new sets and zones! New character models (I.e why do we all have to have 2 arms and 2 legs, why not a body like the snakes have?)
And new cossie parts.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's unlikely that it will be colour customisation only, that feature shouldn't be too difficult to implement since it's already possible to alter the colours on the auras.
New costume parts will hopefully be available as well, but new body types (especially non-humanoid ones like the snakes) are unfortunately unlikely outside an expansion due to the required animation work though I'd love to see that feature as well. -
Apparently the line breaks will finally return once I15 hits live, they have been confirmed by people on the test server.
For now the effect can be achieved by using putting multiple spaces at the end of the line you've been typing (extremely awkward solution though). -

Of course i would. And so would you. And so would everyone
[/ QUOTE ]
And here's where you are wrong.
Even if there was an absolutely undetectable method for all of the things posted in the original post I'd not use them. The whole exp thing simply doesn't matter to me, I'm neither an endgame player nor even remotely interested in PvP so I'm in no rush to get to 50.
So why would I want to deprive myself of the fun of playing the game as intended by cheating? -

A battle theme for each enemy group would be nice
[/ QUOTE ]
That's actually a verygood idea, GG.
I could well imagine some military marches while fighting the Council/5th Column (something like "Imperial March" from Star Wars) or something dark and mysterious for the Circle of Thorns.
All in all the whole soundtrack needs to sound somewhat more dramatic and less annoying. -
<blockquote><font class="small">Antwort auf:<hr />
That assumption is correct
By channels I mean broadcast (brain still in its jar...) You only need to stand in Atlas for a few minutes to get an idea of what brand new players must think;
"Hmm, wonder what this games like?"
"Lvl 1 LFFT"
"Lvl 47 LFFT"
"Farm LFM, Empath wanted, No tanks"
"...I guess I found out."
I mean, come on...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, it is (or more precisely was) pretty annoying, however the /ignore command is very useful tool to get rid of their constant spam.
With most of those farm spammers on my ignore list now I can actually stand being in Atlas Park now.
I do, however, agree with Techbot_Alpha, getting rid of the MA buildings in the starter zones could be beneficial. -
It can mean anything from power customisation to adding more costume parts or even opening up the costume part selection more (e.g. left & right gloves/shoulders selectable as different choices) or allowing more freedom in choosing powersets during character creation.
Whatever it will be, more customisation is always welcome -

All they could really add is Toga's etc but we can get the at Valentines Day after running a Snaptooth mish. Having Roman armour would make one of the main rewards redundant unfortunately
[/ QUOTE ]
Not necessarily... they could very well add roman-style sandals (about the same height as boots), a two-part tunic (baggy chestpiece with T-shirt sleeves + kilt/skirt), different togas (keeping the current one for the Valentine event), greek helmets, appropriate belt(s), greek breastplate (vastly different from the roman lorica segmentata).
All of that would be possible without invalidating the cimeroran content, though I think that having to unlock that content for each character seperately rather than the whole account was a bad idea to begin with. -

anyway, why only history clothing, what about mythical parts, like 4 arm's and an animal body part.
it doesn't have to be spider and horse backs(tho, would be awesome), there is also the faun.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faun
yes we can have the legs, but that's kinda incomplete.....
[/ QUOTE ]
You can get pretty convincing looking fauns/satyrs with the parts we have (need to either take a screenie of the one I've saved as a costume or get around to finish and publish a mission utilizing it). Even acceptable looking harpies are possible with creative usage of the costume parts.
What I'd really love to have when it comes to parts for mythological beasts is a cyclops head or extra arms.
On the historical side I'd love to see more greek/roman designs and preferably have them available for new characters rather than having to get to 35 and finish a TF before getting a character to look as intended. -

The Lost, if I remember correctly, are a Rikti-human fusion rather than true Rikti.
[/ QUOTE ]
This makes no sense considering the revelation given during the Dark Watcher storyline in the Rikti Warzone. I'm assuming you've not played it yet...
[/ QUOTE ]
You assume correctly
The lore behind the Lost may well have changed (or more may have been revealed) over the course of my several years long break.
My own questions regard Cimerora:
> Is it part of an alternate earth's timeline or assumed to be part of our gameworld's history?
> Is the cimeroran culture more greek or roman based, as it appears to have aspects of both? For example Daedalus is a direct hint at greek mythology (Father of Icarus and creator of the labyrinth of the minotaur) while the military and ranks/titles are obviously inspired by ancient rome. -

I don't want TheMess to take this personally, but i really don't care about how he plays.
When a game is upgraded, it needs to be upgraded to compete regardless of the members playing it.
NCsoft game L2 did it (brought in 'dungeons' instances despite the fact one of the major selling points was that there were no instances and it was 1 huge world map)
Runescape upgraded it's gfx and there are probably tons of people who can't run the 'HD' version of it now. Now are you honestly trying to tell me the developer studio at NCsoft can't compete with JAGEX of all people?
[/ QUOTE ]
You'd rather have to download a huge patch then just to have voiced dialogue? Voice acting takes up a lot of filesize and in addition is comparatively expensive for a feature that isn't really needed.
A voiced greeting, perhaps. But fully voiced dialogue would just be wasted.
A sound-fx and music revamp on the other hand is something I think should (and probably will) happen. -
<blockquote><font class="small">Antwort auf:<hr />
And my own question, The Lost are the Rikti right? It is HEAVILY implied, but is never confirmed. When I say The Lost, I mean the mutated homeless refer to their leaders as The Lost, rather than themselves, and these leaders are the Rikti, so-called because they are lost in this world with no way to return?
I'd also appreciate it if you could tell us anything about The Lost we don't already know, even if it's just something small. Oh! For example, why are the Lost still here? If they are the Rikti, surely during the second invasion they would have been able to go home, correct?
[/ QUOTE ]
The Lost, if I remember correctly, are a Rikti-human fusion rather than true Rikti. This is why their transformation can be reversed as evidenced in a certain story-arc. -

Maybe if being a lo-lvl wasnt such a drag with how limited it is people may go off and do other things rather than farm.
I mean with a new toon without fast transport powers you cant be [censored] to drag yourself all over the map. Not like when your a 25+ and can use ourborros portal and have enhacned fly or super speed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fortunately tastes are different, I much prefer the lower level gameplay personally and I also have characters without any travel powers at all.
Back on topic:
The main issue with farming is that those of us who play the game normally are often stuck unable to find a team when we need one, because of the constant farm groups going on.
When I last played CoX before my (very long) break, it was common for people to ask around for a bit of help with a difficult mission and teams were quickly assembled. This, however, is no longer the case. Unless you form or join a MA farm team, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to get assistance for a quick mission or two (this extends both to normal gameplay and MA story arcs that aren't meant for farming). Add to that the amount of players who powerlevel with the MA without ever getting used to their archtype and it's strengths and weaknesses and it's not difficult to see why so many people have a problem with farming.
Therefore a solution that is acceptable to most of the playerbase needs to be found. -
I'd love to see some more variety in maps as well, the current ones are somewhat overused by now.
-
As more often than not the unlocked pieces don't really suit the character who did the TF/SF it could be useful to unlock the pieces for the account rather than the individual character.
The way it is now, the pieces are for the part wasted and only rarely used. This is most noticeable with the high(er) level TF/SF unlocks as the heroes/villains already have their established costumes and have little need to use the new pieces.
Another possible solution could be making the unlocked pieces a reward that can be claimed by a character on the account via a /claim command. -
The "Brotherhood of the Shadow" is a themed RP villain group on Union. The theme is based around a mystic comic book/movie style asia much like the Tsoo in CoH.
Characters must fit the theme (obviously) in regards to looks and power choices.
If you're interested, send a tell to Lo-Pan (I know, not the most imaginative name)

If your not happy find a better SG
[/ QUOTE ]
That still leaves people with their own small SGs without any options to get a decent, functional base.
There are actually people who enjoy playing with a couple friends in their own SG or RPers who enjoy playing a hero / sidekick relationship in their own 2 people SG. -
I have to agree the costs for bases are simply ridiculous. It is almost impossible to have a base for small SGs, even though that is a staple in many comics (i.e. Fantastic 4, Batman & Robin).
Without 20+ members in a SG, I don't really see any possibilty to owning a base that is bigger than 1 or 2 rooms. Bases would have been a wonderful tool for RP, but with the current costs and prestige gain that's off limits. -
During the CoV beta I read something on the US boards (which I check quite frequently) about plans for small hideouts/apartments (not SG dependent) in the "near" future.
The base building cost is something that annoys me as well, I don't want to join a large SG just to be able to have a base. -
Who among the usual suspects (and newcomers of course) will be roleplaying villains in addition to their heroes or even play exclusively on the villain side?
Are any RP based villain groups currently planned?
