Costumes with an historical flavour
Like I said; style points
Not everyone can be a good hero

Retarded you say? You try and run in 5 inch heels.
[/ QUOTE ]
They're heroes, they need to be able to chase bad guys at a moments notice
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is why you don't wear heels then
Running in heels is possible, but it's much slower, more uncomfortable, and much more likely to cause a fall, so there's no practical purpose for wearing them while doing an active job like crimefighting.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can think of a couple of jobs where people are physically active but they often wear heels.
@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

But there's no need to go out of your way to be a bad one

Maybe the hero just prefers to deal people in a moe permanent way than arresting them? Take jedi from star wars for example, they kill every bad guy/sith they ever encounter.
Seen the watchmen? See how Rorschach kicks butt?
It all comes down to the end result, not the method.
A hero's job is to save paragon city in this case, or kidnap victims and blah blah. If he has to slaughter over 9000 arachnos soldiers to get the job done, so what?
Results are what count, not ethics or the method.
Seen Ironman? he's another example. Just because you're helping society instead of trying to conquer it, doesn't mean you have to treat people nicely and be a good guy.
Seen The Punisher? He's another example. Good guys do the exact same stuff bad guys do, same means, different ends.
And more of Dark Champions.
Rabbits & Hares:Blue (Mind/Emp Controller)Maroon (Rad/Thermal Corruptor)and one of each AT all at 50

How did this go from historical costumes, to arguements about superheroes in heels to heroes that look for a permanent solution to crime?
[ QUOTE ]
It was the will of the Force

That's a good enough reason
Because
^ The best reason ever.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

BTW, 99% of the costumes are not well suited for combat.
Heels, capes, long hair, glasses or things the opponent can easily grasp. Clothes that are flammable or offer no protection against bullets. Lets face it, the only sensible clothing would be wearing as much armor as you can get away with.
It would be City of Armadillo!

Now, that's something I'd pay money for
Armadillo! the number one alternative to dime bars
Crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside!
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator

Actually, all the types of fabric we wear are specially made for fighting - that's why you never see holes, rips tears marks or stains on them, and they're also bulletproof - it's also why everything costs so much at Icon

In that case my heels are special heels that allow me to run faster and have improved balance.
Besides, I fly.

So you haven't seen the shredded costume options then - some obviously survive better than others.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
17th Century Cossie bits would be good too, they'd be sooooo good for looking like a pirate!
It would also be nice to have different hair options with some of the hats and helmets too.
Then what's the point of crimefighting if you wear stuff that makes it harder to fight crime?![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
It's not a job you can be fired from, but it's also pretty pointless to have it as a career if you do things that make it harder to operate normally
