PL them. Not farm them, unless you're looking for someone to plough your furrow.

(not me, I can barely level myself, I've only one 50 in total)

Could also be a request for one of those "One-Sided Levelling Pacts".

I'm not into Powerlevelling either, though I did grab my tenth level 50 last week. I like getting all the temporary power pets/armors far too much to speed through the levels... and there really comes a point when you need to learn how to use your powerset combo on a PUG, regardless of how familiar you are with the theory.

Farming, on the other hand, is something that's practically required these days if you want to be able to afford a decent build of Set IOs. Whether you're farming Merits or Influence (or both).

If the OP is serious, it might help to post the name of the server your alt is on, and if it's a Hero/Villain. There are a number of dedicated powerlevelling Supergroups on both servers, but I suspect that 200 million might be a little too low for their services (given that you'd not be a sg member). You might find a random taker if it's just an Experience-Pact you're after though, but you'd need to specify the alt's faction + server.

(The reason I say 200 million is a little low is that most powerlevelling groups seem to be asking for all the salvage/influence your character gains during their farming sessions, plus usually a little bit extra to make the whole endeavour worth their while. 200 million influence is peanuts compared to the combined total of influence/salvage/recipes a character will pick up during the entire journey from level one to fifty, assuming that they're being Powerlevelled in a level 50's missions and receiving the appropriate drops. Level Pacts are a completely different beast, as you don't even need to be logged in to gain experience)

I'm pretty sure you might not find anyone on the forums to help you. Since everyone is too stupid to mark a difference between "Powerlevels and farms invisibly without anyone knowing they're there" and "God damned fillers blinding me when I'm trying not to get smashed to pieces by an angry AV", we don't really have anyone willing to outright sell their service like that, because they end up shouted out by righteous crusaders telling us farmers are the reason for everything bad in life.

Not saying I'm offering to do it, but anyone willing to do this wouldn't be shouted out by righteous crusaders if they replied to fieryman by PM and neither party spilled the beans on the arrangement.

What have the council officials got against roasting small raisin muffins?

Resistance to farming is, like assimilation, completely futile.

The devs have seen fit to change the game into something that requires ludicrous amounts of inf to obtain that (admittedly desirable but not essential) uber build. The moment a currency is created in a game, farming is the inevitable result. The fact that the devs choose not to call inf a currency is beside the point.

Not so much the muffin roasting per se, but more the paperwork that goes with it. There will have to be all kinds of Health & Safety risk assessments carried out, Hygiene certificates to arrange for on street vendors etc. Just too much like hard work for a few muffins. Now, if it was a roast meats vendor - that would be worth it!

If he is after a levelling pact, maybe he's basing the number on Smurphy's levelling pact sale on the US forums? I think those slots went for ~200 million in the end.

Id have to agree here, with certain set recipes at 80+mil each you would be hard pressed to make money in any other way. Im glad i dont use recipes at all really, only have 1 toon with the standard 50 IOs, but he and the rest of my toons perform absoultely fine with SOs. Its all jst like badges .. padding to stuff in your crotch and say 'look how big mine is!'

Actually IO's can be extremely useful, and even minor playing around can be very satisfying. Stop giving a damn about the expensive sets with awesome set bonuses and go for other ones or just indulge in some frankenslotting.

With IO's you can easily get much higher percentages all round. I recently had quite a bit of diverting fun IO'ing out my 32 BS/WP Scrapper. For the cost of only five slots each attack has the same or better percentages as an SO scheme of Acc, 3x Dam, EndRed, RechRed.....with every single attack given the coup de grace of a comparitively cheap Touch of Lady Grey chance for negative energy damage proc. Since I did all this with full sets of Smashing Haymaker (with a cheapo Acc/Dam/Rech from Focused Smite to round out the numbers) and five Multistrikes, I got some fun little set bonuses as well for my troubles. I'm not one to turn down free goodies.

I did it for twelve million, a sum of influence I had built up merely through normal gameplay and still had after usual full slotting of a toon, and had nothing to do with bragging rights.

I know they are good They are a great add to the game and gives more for ppl to enhance the toons they want too, i jst dont feel the need to have them. I could easily have fitted out with sets by now but its jst not soemthing that interests me! The point still stands tho, if you want the high end recipes you gotta spend the big inf, and there are few ways to get that inf other than farming or endless TF runs.

Whats amazing about IO sets is how mush they seem to have gone up in price. I have older 50's with sets which would now cost billions, but I'm sure I didn't pay that for the sets.

Does anyone know if accepting Influence in game for services such as PL is against the EULA ?

Wow I always thought that was a big no no.. but I guess it's just in game trading, like selling IO's etc.

Not sure how I feel about that, I farm loads but i have never charged anyone for xp. o.0

You will never be in breach of EULA unless you trade in actual currency! Its not really a no no but will is frowned apon i guess .. but being a hardcore farmer i assume you have come up against that kind of thing before.

There is a whole in-game market you could be cornering here!

I suppose a good question would be, how much do ppl think it is worth to be PL'd to 50?

Posted

Thing is to 50 takes commitment, and if i was receiving inf i'd feel guilty about taking a break or doing something else.

Although in saying that I now have 3 accounts and a perma 46 sk so I should be able to power through the levels. Maybe I could test the water, ;P

What a waste of playing time being PL,ed why such a rush, plus doing it that way what do you learn about the game or even how to play your alts to the best of your abilities.I seem to have average 300 hours of game time on each of my 50,s but still loads of the game I,ve not touched on yet,so forget being Pl,ed and play yourself to 50 it will be a much more rewarding experience
