It varies; I'm in the "can't see the point" camp, but have no problems at all with farmers off doing their thang on some map or the other, so long as they don't bother me. (Hint to farmers: repeated "join my team for 5 minutes?" tells count as bothering...)

Others, though, regard farming as the source of many of the evils in the world (n00bs in Peregrine, inflated AH prices, merit nerfs, global warming) and they do look down (or worse) on farmers.

Id agree with this .. its not the farming that is the problem it is the annoyance of some farmers methods of team building that gets on ppls nerves. If they didnt need fillers you would hardly know they are there.

Checking my account page, it looks to be that way yes. There is an option for Refer a Friend and a seperate option for Invite a Frind Back. So i guess that the one you have would be for a new player to begin CoX.

You are entitled to your view and to be fair it was put forward in a very nice way. As you said you've considered PLing and decided against .. at least you are not up in arms at the very idea of the thought of the prospect of PLing a toon!

Sounds like a good team setup, i would probly bring my Fire/Rad to help out some but seems like you have a pretty solid team build there! I havent played Hero side in quite a while so may be a little rusty but would be good if i can join I generaly stick Villain side nowerdays, i will have to try n get you to expand across both sides

I forgot about the xp on/off thing! Certainly a good thing for the farmers

I would 1st try and figure the time length it would take you (comfortably) to get a toon from 1-50 .. then you could charge for that time frame. Without any PLing i have got toon 1-50 in 13days which would have been alot quicker without the need for sleep and other distractions, eating and so on.

From there if people want the service they use it, if they dont then no matter cos you'd still be doing the same thing anyway. As long as you can stick to the time you state, then no-one is under false impression about how long it will take and you will have no guilt and can play stress free

You will never be in breach of EULA unless you trade in actual currency! Its not really a no no but will is frowned apon i guess .. but being a hardcore farmer i assume you have come up against that kind of thing before.

There is a whole in-game market you could be cornering here!

I suppose a good question would be, how much do ppl think it is worth to be PL'd to 50?

I know they are good They are a great add to the game and gives more for ppl to enhance the toons they want too, i jst dont feel the need to have them. I could easily have fitted out with sets by now but its jst not soemthing that interests me! The point still stands tho, if you want the high end recipes you gotta spend the big inf, and there are few ways to get that inf other than farming or endless TF runs.

Id have to agree here, with certain set recipes at 80+mil each you would be hard pressed to make money in any other way. Im glad i dont use recipes at all really, only have 1 toon with the standard 50 IOs, but he and the rest of my toons perform absoultely fine with SOs. Its all jst like badges .. padding to stuff in your crotch and say 'look how big mine is!'

Actually, I'd like a Bond-style supervillain in the game - I think the nearest we have right now is Countess Crey, who has the whole megacorp/private army thing going on - although it's till too integrated into Paragon City - what we really need is a supervillain with little or no superpowers who operates from a remote lair, like a volcanic island out in the Pacific somewhere, who has a private army, but they're only in that zone and not in the normal city zones.
You could encounter his agents on missions in the city, but they wouldn't be seen as mobs in the actual zones.

Who cares why someone wants to get to 50 without experiencing anything of the game. There are plenty others out there jst the same. And they so nicely stick to GV/PI [censored] themselves to PL teams, so they dont leech from normal levelling teams .. im all for it!

Without at least another team member you wont really get the most out of the PL system. I assume you understand that he would need to be SK'd to a toon 4/5lvls below your playing lvl. And you will only get a full mob with a full team. So if you are looking to duo to 50 you will have to do it with good old fasioned elbow grease.

In truth tho it is very quick to get to 50 as long as you can try and fill the team. I managed it in 13days with a Brute recently (no PLing jst big team play) and thats very fast for me tho im sure others have done it faster.

As you said you could whack the rep up to the top and that is a good idea, but maybe try one rep lower than top or maybe 2 .. I say because you are looking to get good xp fast, and depending on your duo powers you may find it better to blast through +2/3 enemy fast rather than longer battles with +4/5 enemy. I tend to raise or lower the rep depending on the team build and competence of the team so jst something to think about.
