From your posting history it seems that farming does lead to PLing.
Now we just need to prove that PLing leads to the Dark Side, and the sequence is complete.

Without at least another team member you wont really get the most out of the PL system. I assume you understand that he would need to be SK'd to a toon 4/5lvls below your playing lvl. And you will only get a full mob with a full team. So if you are looking to duo to 50 you will have to do it with good old fasioned elbow grease.
In truth tho it is very quick to get to 50 as long as you can try and fill the team. I managed it in 13days with a Brute recently (no PLing jst big team play) and thats very fast for me tho im sure others have done it faster.
As you said you could whack the rep up to the top and that is a good idea, but maybe try one rep lower than top or maybe 2 .. I say because you are looking to get good xp fast, and depending on your duo powers you may find it better to blast through +2/3 enemy fast rather than longer battles with +4/5 enemy. I tend to raise or lower the rep depending on the team build and competence of the team so jst something to think about.
Why the rush? This game is not a race, Pling and Farming is not the best way to enjoy this game imo.
What do you plan to do once you are a tricked out 50? You will have missed 99% of the content of the game and there is NO endgame.

Well, "I have a 50, so I'm not a n00b" may be another motivation... This is pretty silly though, PLed 50, well, missed most of the content, fought limited number of mob types, and thus didn't require "real game" skills to get.
Or... Are we looking at long-thought-to-be-non-existent I13 PvP fans?

Who cares why someone wants to get to 50 without experiencing anything of the game. There are plenty others out there jst the same. And they so nicely stick to GV/PI [censored] themselves to PL teams, so they dont leech from normal levelling teams .. im all for it!
It is his choice of course and everybody is entitled to play the game in any way they please. But for most players: If you don't like this game at lower levels then you probably wont like it at 50. That's all.
Depends on how good you are at solo farming and whether or not you have some friendly globals to fill for you. It might be abit boring but your mate/sk will benefit massivley.
But here is my tip - Fill a farmable map to 8 people or if not too confident then fill to 6.
- Run the map to spawn the mobs (with 8 peeps each mob should contain 2 bosses).
- Once run, say your goodbyes to the fillers and just leave yourself and your sidekick in the team to farm the map.
- Basically your Sk will get 6-8 peoples worth of XP instead of the normal rate if those people were helping out on the map as well.
Why does everyone wanna rush this game these days?
Every team is like 'Ghost pl0x' and hitting 46 on a toon means your getting hundreds of tells asking you to bridge!
Why does noone (nearly noone) actually play the game the way it was meant to be. After all the EXP curve change made it too easy to get to 50 why need more?

What is a good way to powerlevel him to 50 besides a 6 man farm, a 6 man farm itself still takes forever
any good ways like just me and him doing missions on top rep or a tf for just us both or what lol?
