I realise you can only say what you've been cleared to say, but that statement does leave a lot of questions unanswered - not least on who's actually making it. Top management from NCSoft? Your own view in light of internal conversations? Local EU management?
One could read the promise that "the game isn't going anywhere" as still leaving it open for the servers themselves to do a bit of ocean-hopping, too.

Comes direct from NCNC, I spoke with them on the phone last night.
All I can really say here is that they want to do the best they can for the EU community under the new NCsoft West structure. They're good people over there, and they have big plans. I'm just sad I won't be here to see them come to fruition.

No, NCNC are blameless here, it's NCWest (or ArenaNet) who are to blame if anyone, although the wider blame is really on the current global recession. 
It's really sad, but needs must I guess. What was getting to us mostly was just the silence, so you posting to let us know this is REALLY appreciated.
I think for the future though, most people here seem to favour our servers being added to the US server cluster and the forums merging. So if NCNC are wondering what to do, something like that might be an idea.
Or, they could come on here and ASK us!

Still not convinced of the sustainability long-term. I would most likely jump at the chance of a U.S transfer as long as the conditions are right, and I'll be watching the quality of EU.support closely in the meantime.
Still waiting for an announcement and for NC West to do the decent thing - ie; post here explain, reassure and apologise for the last 48 hours. It would go a long way to restoring my faith (and subscription) in NC West's product and its commitment towards the EU.community.

It is much appreciated that you've given us some info on this - especially considering it's the weekend and I dare say you've much better things to be doing.
It's been the complete silence that's been most disconcerting - so even though the details have yet to be worked out (and no doubt there'll be moe change in the future) it's good to be told as much as you have.
A little worried about Avatea - she's met some posters and had dealings with others for other NC games, so she must be certifiable to agree to deal with us in her future role! 
BTW - does it look like we've got you around a little longer, or is it time to start goodbyes? If the latter then all the best, wherever life takes you.

In regards to the recent restructuring changes, it is obvious that there is a lot of speculation going on regarding a potential message board merge. The details involved in doing this are being investigated. Unfortunately, no course of action can be committed to at this time. Rest assured, however, that all possibilities will be considered and as soon as things have been determined, you will of course be made aware.
One thing we can assure you of right now, though, is that the game for our European players isnt going anywhere and community support for you will continue. Im happy to be able to inform you that to ensure that this happens, Avatea will be moving to the United States and going to work in the NCsoft Northern California office to work side-by-side with the City of Heroes/Villains developers. She will become your main advocate and is very pleased to have the opportunity to do so.
So please know that the European contingency will remain alive and well and will continue to have quality representation!
