I really don't think that's the best idea. Let's face it - a bunch of geeks in costumes probably isn't the best way to entice new players to the game...

I believe the best way for NCsoft to pull in a few punters to the event would be to offer playable previews of upcoming games, like the 4 ton hype demon known as Aeon...

I believe thats what happened at OS last year, with try-outs of Tabula Rasa and Aion.

Sadly no, there where no try outs of anything, I even asked for a try out of TR but the TR rep said there wasn't one but she would take my email and send a trial to me...never received it...

Well I and the other two people i was with were told there was no demo of TR, did you actually get to play it was that this Avatea persons own account?

Doesn't really matter though my original statement was to do with previewing upcoming titles, not old titles.

We should be able to get a fairly decent venue this time around for a mini-con, I know in years past NCsoft Europe has struggled to find the funds for player-events as It has been solely out of their pocket. I'm hoping with the formation of NC West* we can have a nice full weekend of events.

And I was also using up my allocation of TR referral codes as well...

There were *none* of the small mini cards available for it though to hand out (real shame to be honest though).

I was actually suprised at the number of CoX players who had a TR account there (i thought i would have been the only one).

Just for the sake of clarity, the "Avatea person" was (is?) the community support manager for Tabula Rasa. She was (is?) quite important & lovely.

As for an Omega Sektor type event (if that happens), it'd be great to see those of you who came last year again, and obviously new faces also. But please, somebody keep Gangrel in check and only serve him water/juice/coke this time

Just to keep hopes in check: there are still a LOT of pieces that need to fall in place first, and anything that does happen is unlikely to be a CoH-specific event. It's far from certain that we'll be able to reach our ambitions.

Suppose if we all do that then there's an outside chance that we may have the finances to open our own Omega Sektor-like before NC overcome the many obstacles to another meet.
