Jesus Christ, give them some time. We've only just heard about it - from the little information we've gathered, NCsoftEU have only just heard about it, and it is currently 8am in the NC offices.
Yes well I'd put priorities at: those who the redundancies affect, then the EU.subscribers the news affects via a post on the EU.forums, then a press release to the games industry press.
Not just let rumour filter in, ferment on the forums (doing a great deal of harm to the company's reputation).
I couldn't care less if Chris Chung hasn't had his frosties yet - this decision was not taken late last night or this morning, things should be handled better than this.
And I'd put the priorities so that reading the opinions of a bunch of people who post on an internet forum is so far down the list it's unlikely to get looked at this week, let alone RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND.
Of course, that internet forum will have people on it who go, "LOOK AT ME, I'M THE CENTRE OF THE [censored] UNIVERSE" and demand to be given everything NOW.
Just one more reason to ignore it then.

Not how the world works at all. It'll be:
1. Staff notified
2. Media notified
3. Subscribers notified ONLY if there will be changes affecting them, likely through a mailshot.

I really doubt that caring about the marginal small percentage (of a small percentage, we're not exactly rolling in players around here and if you are, then that's your perversion and you can keep it to yourself) who actually post on the forums even figures in their mindset.

loved last years Omega Sektor, it was originally planned to hold it again this year during easter weekend of 10-14th of april until OS went into admission/submission (whichever u prefere to use 
) unfortunatly the 20hours of footage recorded suddenly went Stalker on us and placated us
really hoping for an event this year too, but with the sudden rumours of staff drops and the recession and all that pants i wouldnt put my money on it
just hoping nothing bads going down within the ranks of NC, wishing u all luck for the future!

Cant see an event happening not after the lay off 80% of there staff. Hell cant see NCsoft being in the western market after 2009.
Well there's this going ahead but I can't see it being a happy joy joy event with the latest news.
