-Drools with anticipation-

So, still in the works from the sounds of it, and possibilities in the near/distant future;
-Editable maps (long term)
-Ambushes and triggers
-Cinematics (When they can make one that isnt worthy of Satan )
-Hopefully we will get to create slightly more custom enemy mobs someday, but its still good looking to me.

Now, this is an issue that really has me gunning really looking forward to it and the arcs I have planned. One question to put out, if anyone can read deeper than me;
Would it be possible to use the Robots from Bots MMs as independant enemy classes/skins? Seeing as you can already fight a Lich without an MM in one Redside mission. Or may that not be possible?

Which just goes to show that you can't please everybody all the time. I hate those cut scenes with a passion. They just bring the entire game to a sudden halt for what feels like an age. if there was a way to avoid them in the game, I'd do it.

Well, that's easy sorted, add a flag to the mission showing that it has cut scenes, that way people who don't like them can avoid them. Same with other things, like GMs or SG only missions, etc.

Why stop such people playing the mish though? Just add a flag to disable cutscenes!

The problem with creating mobs is that as soon as it hits live, there will be a mass cry to be able to save the enemy group you just created for future missions.
For now im going to be more than happy using the existing mobs

That's another possibilty, but that could cause issues if the cutscene passes on some important info about the mish, like that you need to find a glowie or save someone specific etc.

Like I say, there's options all round, really

I agree with being happy with the current enemy factions Damz for other reasons too.

To be fair ill be satisfied with what we are getting so far, there is always room for updates depending on how successful it is in the first place.

(oh and your gonna upset FFM Damz, echo posting is his trademark..he'll be on you faster than a haphazard Worlds.com patent troller )

I'm thinking of creating a couple of arcs for high level villains which give you an opportunity to pursue your own plans for world domination.

It's beyond unlikely that they ever will. Neverwinter Nights (1 & 2) allowed you much greater flexibility in editing, and you could, indeed, build cutscenes. However, doing so required a degree in computing and a very thorough understanding of C coding and 3D geometry.

And, as has been said, all for something not everyone appreciates. I know I find them beyond irritating in an MMO. In a single-player game, where they are used as story continuation cinematics, yeah, but not in an MMO. (Bioware suggested that you never included them in modules designed for multiplayer mode.)

Exactly what I was thinking It is time that us villains get serious with our own doomsday devices!

So far I am happy what the MA does bring. Of course more whistles and bells will be appreciated. But it sounds like a good start.

And hurrah for that! Presumably the C and 3D graphics requirements cuts down on the number of people trying to do a cutscene featuring nothing but genitalia and perverted sexual acts!

It's well known that anyone with a good knowledge of C and 3D graphics has no idea what anyone's genitals but their own look like, and is far too busy reading tech manuals to know anything about perversion!

I'll be happy with them, but think it's a mild shame as if and when I try out the MA I'd have liked to make my own faction to guarantee not stepping on any CoX canon that I wasn't aware of!

i.e. if I made my own villainous faction - even if they were just renamed/reskinned Hellions - then I know I can do pretty much anything with their background/story.

Makes no sense to me to be honest. If the reward for doing these missions is so much less than even street hunting, what's the point? Unless you have a plethora of high level toons and don't need to level or gain inf, I can see no point in even looking at these missions.

True. But you must admit that it is annoying that we can't level up normally. Getting badges salvage recipes etc while we go. I need those to pay for the enhancements on my toons.

It is a shame that because some people will misuse the system we all get penalized. I understand why they do it but that doesn't have to mean that I like it.

I don't see how it could be a farmers paradise, since aside from selecting WHICH villan group you fight, you seem to have no control over what is spawned. So, for instance, if you are designing a mish to farm, say, Banished masks, since the MA decides what groups are spawned where you'll still only get the normal number of masks you would in any other Banished mission. Since we don't have control over what mobs are spawned, or where they are spawned, you can't load-up the mission with badge-granting baddies (or goodies for the villans).
