Rant.
You will probably find most teams doing it are corrupter heavy. They are only 53 so debuffs are okay. I hate seeing stray aggro pick off squishies. If all the aggro is concentrated somewhere then the aoes are concentrated in a smaller area. If everyone is dying around you then that would lower DPS.
I'd imagine with the Mo's little breathers are nice so people can make a decision on their first 3 - 5 moves. You can forget just one thing and balls it if your rushing in at the start and panicking slightly enough to miss something. For me today that was outposting my pets but then its a gimped unfinished MM build anyway from me experimenting, its still got empty slots XD.

I feel your pain Col. I tried that TF a few times but despite us running over anything thrown in our path, the last mission just proved undoable. So yes, I consider it one more badge I wont ever have.
I am not to fond of the lets make missions more difficult by throwing in some unbeatable guys in the end method.
I have never done this strike force. Tried it maybe once with no real heart in it. That was enough.
Having taken part in so many successful MoLRSF I tell you that it can be done. Back in the day, Kiss of Death, Johnny, Bananas, Max Verstummelung, Dr. Zweistein and the ever lovable Liz used to run them just so everyone could get the badge. And they would take anyone who wanted the badge regardless of AT or powerset.
Liz was a granite Brute and boy could she tank! Of course with Bananas' Kin helping her and the rest of the team buffing her silly, not much could stand in her way or the team for that matter... no shivans were used or needed, same for Warburg nukes... Good times! ^_^

It will take just over an hour, send me a PM on here if you want to do it.

I'm just [censored] off by now. It's been around six months since I first attempted the Lord Recluse Strike Force. Six months. This was -after- I had discovered my fondness for Badge collecting. And in six months' time, still not a successful run.
And it's not because the teams suck, either. Not in the general sense, at least. I've never been on any of the fabled 'dream teams' for the LRSF, with a Granite Brute and Mind/Ice Dominator and who knows what else. They probably wouldn't take an Elec/Elec Brute anyway since you apparently need some god knows how specifically planned out team to defeat [censored] Statesman. Arrrrrrrrgh.
8 people, a Sonic/Sonic Corruptor, and a MM with Tar Patch, stacking ridiculous amounts of -res on top of a Chem Nuke, with 8 Shivans out... And Statesman just won't freaking drop. His HP just merrily shoots up when his zero-recharge Unstoppable is active. I don't even see orange numbers when he uses it, I don't see anything but grey 1s from whoever is actually able to damage him for the grand total of 1 damage per hit. What the hell. He regens back up to 75% despite the huge amount of -res on him, everyone has 4-8 or more red insps stacked on, and when it wears off and he drops to 10% again, BAM, Un-freaking-stoppable.
How the hell is this meant to be done without 8 of each freaking warburg nuke anyway? How do people actually manage to complete Master Of runs of this when he freaking Hand Claps the non-melee ATs to death if they happen stray too close to whatever the AoE size is? I can't wrap my brain around this.
I'm just going to make the logical assumption that my badging toon is cursed, and those are two (lol, three) badges I'll never ever have. Because six months of trying is just retarded. I realize it's the hardest task force in the game. But it doesn't even seem -mathematically- possible without 8x3 nukes, so how do people get Master Of badges for it? I don't know. I guess I never will know. The devs say the game is balanced around SOs. I'm on generic IOs, so I'm already stronger than SOs despite not having set bonuses.
Funnies thing? I actually completed the LRSF once. On the wrong toon. I just wanted the Apocalyptic badge for the accolade. I stuck around just for morbid mental laughs, and... We killed them all. How the hell we did that, I'll never know. Statesman managed to die somehow. I was on my Thugs/Dark Mastermind, who is not my badge toon. We had a Thugs/Dark in today's team as well, and States refused to drop. So it can't have been -my- toon that tipped the scales.
So what the hell am I missing?

That is all you need, you dont need a mega team, just grab 5 corrs and any 3 others and you should have no problem.
Shivans are the main thing.
It does seem a bit badly designed if you 'just' need 5 corrupters.
Then again I did the STF and wasn't too pleased to find Recluse two shotted willpower tanks. What's the point in putting a fight so rediculously out of whack with the ones before it?
Iv done it at least 300 times with every single possible team from bad to best, its just a lot easier with 5 corrs, and the OP seems to be finding it hard, thats why i suggested 5 corrs.
You dont NEED anything really, it will just be harder/take longer with some teams.

I did a LRSF a few months back with my 50 Ninja/FF MM, and IIRC we only had 2-3 corrupters.
It took a while but with some good tactics in the end we completed it.

[/ QUOTE ]Like he said, EIGHT SHIVANS with my leadership assault, tactics and even a dose of that PBAoE accolade power that grants psionic damage to all in its radius and he just endlessly godmoded whenever we got to that health point.
I was suitably dismayed after getting to that last fight and slamming into a wall because nothing we did was good enough.
Needing corruptors for the debuffs should mean that something is broken. They should make it easier not be a pre-requisite for success. Oh and this was on the lowest difficulty setting too.
I'm not feeling as bad as the Col as I nabbed the Ahnnialator badge for the Marshall Accolade and the Mistress of Olympus for my MM. Plus we had a good raporé going throughout, making jokes at the laughable speeches, the endless monologuing by villains AND heroes; even the claim that the Kronos Titan was unpainted so it could be used in tournaments (as opposed to my lazy collector comment).
Tyger (50), Mutation-Controller Mind/FF - oldest Mind/FF on Union
I too was on the team. I had my Dual-blade/Willpower Brute, Col. had his Elec/Elec trademark, we had a Night Widow VEAT, a Plants/Thorns Dom, Thugs/Dark Minder, EM/Nin Stalker, and two others I can't remember this minute due to the late finishing time. All of us were experienced players who knew our archetypes. We all had shivans, and a handful of nukes. There was resistance and regen debuffing, and throughout the strikeforce we chewed through everything that came at us, even taking out three Heroes at a time when we got to the final fight.
If a team like this cannot beat Statesman, flexible, balanced and varied, then something is not perhaps as it should be. Thou Shalt Have Five Corruptors just doesn't cut it at all as a reason for our lack of success. During the mass nuke/shivan attack, I hit twenty small red insps and combined with fury hit the damage cap (750%) for a few seconds. States didn't even blink.
Overall, we had fun, but getting kicked back when we were so close was not the best feeling. I cannot believe that needing five of one kind of AT just to beat one final boss is balanced, and reeks of WoWness. I will try the SF again, but not for a while, I think.
For me, ive done Mo run once. due to good friends.
we picked our team right, took it slow, decided on tactics and believe it or not...listened. ppl tend to panic if something not normal happens. ok luck abit 2 hehe. u need to know the ppl ur with. PUG for a Mo is nvr adviceable.
just try n try, nvr give up and keep a cool head.
I dont know what you were doing wrong, but for future reference do this.
1 member die in mob of longbow on left of chopper.
Move up to mob of longbow at bottom of steps and kill it, cut scene starts.
Move to top of steps, tp the corpse from last mob to you.
Everyone draw a shivan, cast vengence on corpse and shivans, rez corpse.
Eat 4 lucks, 1 orange each.
Numina is the 1st target coz she can rez, next do Sister then Posi, then whoever you like that looks low on health, we normally do States last.
All stay in melee range or in range of the healer if you have healers.
For that to work, you need 1 person with TP or the vet power and someone with vengence.
Its up to you how hard or easy you make it, with 5 corrs and that method the whole SF takes us 50-80 mins from start to finnish.
If you want to use less corrs its going to take several runs at them and more time, its up to you, be realistic, stop moaning about needing certain AT's if you want the badge, use whats needed to do the job. Go get some chemical and bio nukes if you want it even easier.
Edit, the only insps any of you want in your trays are 16 lucks, 4 oranges, maybe a couple of break frees if your a corr, forget eating reds or anything else.
go with what London says, can be done Has been done, and btw London took my elec/elec brute = and it still worked, so for that comment u made lol
Brutes: Doc O'Bay (yup, was me lvl2-48) Doc O'Bay Jr., Sihing, Belphanior, Mr. Lich & Joker's Wylde MMs, Rad'Man Corr, Lockup Dom, Suicide King Stalker, Lord Florentine DB/WP Brute, Tygercide Scrapper......Scrapper?? what the heck is he doing here???
Team is the key. When LRSF was out Violators and EVIL literally farmed it, before it was even fixed. We did like 2 per day on different toons.

[/ QUOTE ]Yeah we did all that. Pay attention to what I'm saying, the rest of the heroes died just fine. Statesman just wouldn't get any lower than 10% HP even though we kept pounding on him for like an hour.
The other heroes are fine. Statesman having a zero-recharge damage nullifier power is what got us. How much more -res do you need than Tar Patch and a Sonic/Sonic? That should've already put us around 2/3 of the -res cap (not to mention the freaking chem nuke), though I'm not in the mood to run numbers through my head at the moment.
The whole problem is just Statesman, and Statesman alone.

Try it again, maybe he was bugged then.
Thinking about it, if you were at him for an hour, i take it you had no shivans left? In which case you should have gone and got more. Also was he killing you or was it a case of you just couldnt kill him?
If he was killing you were you all filling up with lucks between deaths? Because you want 4 of those running at all times.
I just cant understand how 8 of you, in fact 8 of anything with 8 shivans couldnt kill him.
