The consignment house day job gives the power to teleport to the consignment house from anywhere. If you, like me, do a lot of trading then this sounds fantastic.

There's a catch though. To get the power you have to log out in the consignment house. The power is only available for a short time after you've logged back in.

So, by the time I've run a mish or two and want to go back to WW's, the power's disappeared. If I've just logged in then I've got the power and I can teleport to where I am.

Sigh.

I'm praying that they'll change it to be a "number of uses" power instead.

Dose seem a bit daft would make much more sense if for each chunk of allotted time you were logged of at the Auction house you were awarded 1 teleportation to a auction house.

Exactly. I'd be quite happy if the maximum allowed was quite low. Say 3 or 5. That way I could use it at least once a day.

Heh, that does sound pretty stupid... And I think the suggestion to change it to a number of uses power is very reasonable.

Yeah, I have successfully used this power all of once. That was on a villain who I had to run over to Facemaker. She'd been logged out for enough time that she had 30 whole minutes of time, and it was just about long enough to use the Teleport to get her back to her logout position.

It is, very much, a dumb way to run that power.

I'm finding that I lose my Monitor Duty Prestige bonus before I even have a chance to finish a mission. I was able to finish a mission in time on my PB with Law Officer, but I didn't notice any XP bonus.

The best one I've had so for was the Vanguard Merit one while on Test. That definately does drop an extra merit on Vanguard missions, and also actually drops an extra VM on any other mission you do.

I suspect that the mechanism they are using for this may have to be retuned, more gain of time per time offline.

According to my estimasions if you log over around midnight, and log on around 6pm, you get a bit over 5 minutes time on the WW teleport (and possibly on most other things). This is not enough to be even vaguely useful.

However, I'm pushing for the CH and Shop ones, because the Accolade they produce gets rather useful Invention Creation tokens (25% cost reduction on, like half a million Inf for a level 50 invention... that is worth having).

I was going to moan about the Wentworth TP badge but its fairly far down my list of I13 moans and is actually just not giving me a benefit rather than giving me a draw back but yes it is just plain stupid. Logged out there before the system went live so by the time I actually logged the character in I had the maximum timer. So when I used it first it actually was helpful, but now I'd have to abandon the character for a goodly amount of time before playing again if I wanted to use it cause 2 days gives me less time than one mission. One has to wonder as to the actual use to active characters.

Definitely useful if you have the full time on it - I think I was on about my third mish after logging in when I first used it and then again a couple of mishes later. Also once you get the badge the duration should be longer not sure how much by though - not sure what its like for someone with only a short time offline accumulated but I would definitely want it to grant a decent duration once you have gained the badge - gives an incentive for getting it - possibly something like an hours duration for each day offline would be reasonable.

I just logged on and have 20 minutes of time on it. Plus as I am earning it, I am naturally AT the black market anyway.

The other annoyance is that you put it in your tray, then when it runs out it goes again. It would be handy if it could be made to grey out until you get the next recharge.

Agreed. Sticking a power back in a tray can be quite tedious. At the moment, I disable drag and drop of powers so I don't re-arrange my trays by accident in the heat of battle. I've also filled my first three trays. My fourth tray is empty. This means I need to go through the following steps to use my day job power.

1) Go into options and enable drag and drop of powers.
2) Make my 4th tray appear.
3) Open the powers list.
4) Drag the power into the tray. (Clicking doesn't work.)
5) Disable drag and drop again.

That's a lot of effort just to use a power once. I'm not claiming that this a major problem but it is annoying. It would be much easier if we could just trigger the power from the Powers window.

I think all the powers should have a number of charges, not time of use.
The bonuses should either be useful for a certain ammount of gain, or a certain ammount of missions, not on a timer. That way you are guaranteed to get some use out of it, rather than none at all. Which negates the entier bloomin system, dontcherknow?

Instead of a pointless (opinion based on experience) teleport power that's barely going to get used, why not instead replace it with removing the consignment fee for transations for as long as the logout effect is active?

Would mean people could log out their toons for 24 hours then sell all their uber-valuable stuff. It could potentially save them millions

And drive prices way up, since people could put things on for higher prices and pay no fee.

A discount might be a good idea, however.

Would a discount work, given the inf paid goes to a player? Or did you mean a discount on the listing fee?

I'm trying to get the Careworker Badge and thus loggin out at hospitals.

I've notice that the bonus for that (+regen) is so short (logging out at 10:30pm and in again at 6:30pm) that I've often not even entered a mission before its gone and I certainly haven't taken damage.

I think all the bonuses should be changed.

For the Care-worker for example it should be X HPs of damaged regened faster.

For extra drops it should be X missions.

For the WW teleporter it should be X uses

and so on, I think maybe this wasn't thought through as well as it needed to be.

I think the idea of day jobs is to give a buff to returning players, or people leveling alts, so the powers are intentionaly of little benefit if you play your character every day.
