Day Trader WW Teleport - Oh the Irony

I think the idea of day jobs is to give a buff to returning players, or people leveling alts, so the powers are intentionaly of little benefit if you play your character every day.

[/ QUOTE ]

You may well be right

Edit :- However the double Xp works for every alt so you may well be wrong too

I agree. The issue though is that regular players are getting no benefit at all instead of a small benefit.

Looking at it slightly differently, I find receiving a temporary power that will expire before I can use it to be "un-fun". Every time it happens, it makes me slightly sad.

Changing the day job powers into ones that will take place when I'm ready will make them into nice little bonuses. The bonus drop on mission completion is a good example.

I'm quite happy with the idea that returning players or rarely played alts get a bigger bonus. I just want my little bonus to be fun not un-fun.

Incidentally, this isn't a big issue for me. It's just a small dark cloud that could be turned into a small ray of sunshine.

Just logged in and my corruptor had 6 minutes worth of tp, and I am logging in at the auction house anyway.

I'm a regular player, and I'm getting a benefit - albeit mainly on the characters I play less often.

And badges! Shiny badges! *polishes display case*

On the temp buffs iv received so far, it'ld be nice if we had some sort of timer to go with it so we know how much time we'v actually got.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

The Day Trader one has a timer on it and am sure the Monitor Duty one does too. Those are the only ones I've earned though

All the first tier jobs have timers.

Many of the accolade jobs have charges tough.

I really should do something about this signature.

The timers need to be sped up significantly to be of any use. Currently Patrol experience is the only one I find that even helps me in the slightest, although I am working towards a base teleporter!

They work fine if you don't play that character for a few days.

As I said earlier, I suspect useless-if-you-play-your-character-every-day is WAI. It's to give less played characters a chance to keep up with the loot.

No, sorry, rubbish. At least for things like the teleport power.

Yes, you're probably quite right about the ones which give you extra XP or Prestige or Inf, and those may well work under those circumstances. But you'd have to be logged out for days and days for the Wentworths thing to be useful to you. I figure 10 days would get you an hour's usage, which is about enough time to actually run a few missions and then want to jump back to sell gathered loot.

I rather expect to see some of these timers tweaked. You can defend them and the reason for the way they are set up as you wish, PRAF, but I think you'd have to admit that they do not all have to be correct, and some of them may be changed as the game gets played.

I think most them max out at 2 hours use for 10 days off line.

The may be ajusted, but I doubt they will ever make them give significant benifit for being logged out for less than 24 hours.

The WW teleporter is perhaps an exception, since it's benefit is minimal in any case, and charges would probably be better. However, I suspect the very low value of this power would lead to any changes being very low priority.

Personally, I think the WW teleporter would be better off being changed to a discount on WW fee's. The teleport is pretty useless really...

If they were doing charges it should be reset upon every login, otherwise it's open to exploit by racking up tons of charges on it. 1 per 12 hours logged off.

Currently, however, the ones which give XP/Inf/Prs bonuses actually give a benefit, even if a very small one, under these circumstances. The WW teleport, Vanguard Merits, that kind of thing, give no benefit.

Low priority is a possibility, yes, but also actually changing the rate of accumulation is likely to be a very, very simple operation, so easy to do.

Doesn't really matter.

These ones are the same as the vanguard ones, they only give a reward when you complete a mission.

So if you haven't racked up enough time to complete a mission, they give no benefit.

Ah, my mistake then. They're all useless. Let's just leave it at that.

How about the Day Trader award gives a discount to the WW teleporter?

10,000 is a bit spendy for a one-shot item = especially with Ouroboros giving such close access, so why not kill two birds with one stone?

Every hour logged out in WW gives a 5% discount from the cost of the AH Teleporter. Make it cumulative, so that time in game doesn't make it wear off, and so after 20 hours you're guaranteed to get one for free: A useful power, for not very long but you gotta use it before you can get a 2nd one.

Problem solved.

Or

12 hours offline gives a one shot teleport power, can only have one charge. The accoldae is two charges for that same 12 hours logged off.

Until you have had 12 hours offline it just builds up to that point.

Or just speed the timers up.

Even with the full log off time the wentworths one doesn't give you a chance to fill your inventory for selling, or even do a couple of missions
