so what do you think to i13?

I mean ffs people... the devs put down alot of heart, soul and hard work into it. The shields and such look fabulous. All the little details and so on.
Sure there's a load of bugs, but they will be fixed, most of em aren't that major, but just annoying.

Oh, I do like all these new releases and I'm grateful that we get the vast majarity of new content completely free while most other games makes you pay extra. BUT, we still have key bugs going back to the year dot...in my most humble opinion it's about time some extra effort was diverted to fixing those.

The new aura combos, only a small feature but a MAJOR one for me They are drool worthy!!!

Ooh yes I drooled so much yesterday when I was making my 3rd cossy for my shield/stone melee tanker! I got fiery eyes n' hands + an ascendant shield! HOLY POOP it was gorgeus! After that I went to Atlas to show off
The Man is the Disciple and Pain his Master
My Disciples on Freedom:
Dark Access - LVL 50+3 Dark/Dark/Stone Mastery, Master of debuff and Control
Healing Aoi - LVL 50+3 Empathy/Archery/Power Mastery, Defender Blaster hybrid
Mega Electron - LVL 50+3 Electrical Armor/Kinetic Melee/Mu Mastery, Spanker
Max Fource - LVL 50+3 Fiery Aura/Electrical Melee/Pyre Mastery, Blanker (Blaster+tanker)
As ever, here are the combined opinions of a few casual players, who get online for three hours on a Thursday night and the same on a Sunday night, have all been playing for at least two years and (apart from me obviously) dont read the forums:
Most common question asked: What are these blue bits on my XP bar?
Lots of love given to: Day Jobs, Shields, Level Pacts and new Cimerora missions
Feature most shrugged at: Changes to Pv what and Pain Domination
Giggly excitement because of: The now massive base we can make
Interested in: Merits
Never even thought about: Dual Builds (theres probably other stuff here, but weve not even thought about it )
This was from five of us discussing it on Skype while we played Villains on Thursday evening. There are obviously some differences in our opinions (one of the guys has been looking forward to shields since he started playing the game, whereas I have so little art ability that its just given me more ways of making a mess of my character, and only four out of eight of us have actually been to Cimerora) but this is a kind of aggregate.
Now, a Saturday night at home to do what I want with! Im putting on a couple of DVDs and going off to show love to the stuff people have posted in the creative section. Oh, how Ive missed that. Usual posting bomb will follow sometime soon.
Meh.
I haven't really logged on much, don't feel the pull. I'll play a little more at some point.
I like the double xp though.

So if I put my heart and soul into making some pottery and it's no good, should I be very much praised? No. Constructive critisim is the only way to the top (a lesson I learned).
At the end of the day, I13: love it or hate it. I'm in the middle, it's ok but it could've been a lot better. Dissapointed with some of the new stuff like Merits (not enough Merits for hard stuff, back to inf for me personally) and Day Jobs (stay offline, gain a dime - that's the game going on here).
I'll give I13 a 6/10 shock horror. I13 lacks awesomeness IMHO.
Lots of really nice stuff, but nothing that says to me 'Play Me'.
That said I have yet to try any of the new arcs having spent 90% of the time since launch (of i13) either messing with my base which looks nice now or playing the (a) competition (WoW).
If you're not really into grinding another alt up to fifty CoH is beginning to look a little content light. Its not Doomed yet but finding something new to do in a five year old game is becoming far to difficult, game needs a paid for expansion with a huge amount of new content for all levels. (IMO)
I suspect NCW agrees with you, LN. It's certainly looking like they might be aiming that way. It was (admittedly largely American) player pressure that stopped them doing it before now really.
Merits I'm kind of dissapointed in. I have to force myself into thinking of them as a nice, free, shiny once in a while because I'm not going to put effort into farming them. I spent pretty much all of yesterday finishing (note, I'd already started it) one of Crimson's arcs (World Wide Red) to receive 15 Merits. That Numina I want is going to be a long time coming. (OTOH, one random drop this weekend got my 35mil Inf from the CH in 10 seconds.)
Perhaps the most useless thing I can think of is the CH/BM Teleport power from the Day Jobs. About 18 hours of log out got me 5 minutes of this, which wasn't enough to get through one mission (a Borea at that). I think some of those Day Job 'powers' need a rethink.
Overall though, I rather like I13. However, I don't PvP. Must get a rematch with Cindersnap in the Areana though. With the new movement supression, I may have a chance of getting him.

Not impressed at all to be honest. This is definitely not an Issue that can bring me back to play CoH/CoV.
I have to say that for me 2008 wath a rather dissapointing year when it comes to CoH/CoV uptades. Too few updates an not too my liking at all.
Let's see if I14 can convince me. As of now, my account will stay disabled.
Well I'll never say never, but at the moment I seriously doubt that.
Something bigger has to hapen for me to come back. Either a bigger Issue or maybe a graphic engine update.
Now, I'm not a person that needs great graphics (I still play old adventures (like Monkey Island and Discworld) regulary), but the atmosphere is simply gone.
Doesn't look real enough, doesn't look like a cartoon (sorry hard to describe).
If they made it look more cartoonish I sure would like that.
Positron has mention they're looking at improving the graphics in some way

I am now terribly dissapointed with I13. My stories got no LeighB love. I am going to sulk.

If they made it look more cartoonish I sure would like that.

Hope it dont get to cartoonish, as would lose its draw to me, i like things to look more realistic then cartoony.
Another reason i stopped playing WoW was its way to cartoonish, Champions online also looks way to cartoonish from what ive seen.
As long as CoH maintains the same sorta feel, immersion it has i will keep playing it.
Granted i13 i feel was not up to a standard i was hoping for , has a few nice touches but in all its quite a mediocre issue, i14 not sure if its be good or bad having a mission creator, to early to say.
But im sure alot be looking forward to more in the next issue then what we seem to have got in i13.

100% how i feel too. Like that this game has a "real world" feel to it, if it became too cartoony it'ld loose its appeal to me.
This issue like you said has a lot of nice little features that SHOULD keep me busy until MA arrives (winter event next week or week after too?) but is much lighter than what i originally thought i'ld be. Both villain epics and MA got pulled out of it iirc?
Still the quality of the new arcs is enough to keep me interested in seeing what issue 14/15s missions will be like, think i remember in an interview that these missions were his testing ones?
After a good few play sessions i must say i love the merit system, whereas previously some of my characters wouldnt have the time to do tfs they can now just do a random roll Merits are so easy to come across too that it doesnt take too long either, very casual player friendly (yes i know i aint a casual player, just saying)
Regardless of what the hardcore people think about the new pvp, a few of us do actually like it. Obviously we wont ever be hardcore pvpers but if somebody asks me for an arena fight now i'll be more than happy to regardless of toon im on.
Overall, nice issue to fill in certain holes but it'll be the MA that'll get me to play for a few more years. I want more HUGE ambushes!!!!

I love the new base pricings - I now have that big base I have always wanted (I still wont use it much but that's not the point!) and I have the Dual Build I need for soloing where I can leave out some powers that are kinda pointless when playing with oneself...
Golden-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Fire/Fire Tank
Oodja Nikabolokov - Lvl 50 SS/WP Brute
Baby-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Peacebringer
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?
Thanks NCSoft for activating old accounts for a couple of days every now and then. That way I can verify that I'm really not missing out on anything.
Yesterday I logged in for the first time after several hundred days and logged off again after a short time. Can't be arsed to play this game these days. I rather fire on my 360 and pop in a game or watch some DVD if I feel like letting me entertain electronically.
It's the bore. But if it works for you, hey, more power to you. :-)
I'm out again.

So, you didn't give it a chance and felt you had to tell us that? Fair enough, don't let the door hit you, etc.

Alternatively, i13 has impressed me. But I really cannot afford to play anymore, nor do I have the time.
And i spent this weekend getting to 50... thanks to the on patrol XP it breezed by
3 years and 33 days (roughly) to get my 1st villain to 50. Currently i cant afford to keep 2 mmo's on the run BUT i will be back... when is the important question, but this has definately helped me as a "casual" player to think about coming back more long term.

I like.. "option" Turn off XP
Yesssssssssssss... no more that silly getting more xp thingy and out level your contacts, not getting temp powers. Now i can Team ... TEAM TEAM!!! (without the fear of outlevelling said contacts).. muhaha
Seriously, i do like that option.
Pain Domination (villains "empathy")..

New Badges
.. comments says it all.
Base changes:
Bases will look even more fun now. Although lets see if the limit to around 6000 items in base (or alittle above) still exists, before the base go boom)
What I do not like:
You have to be offline a lot to get them badges (i pay to play my chars.. and im a badgewho... affordable friend).
Bugs... (we all dont like that. I just get the feeling that the Devs copied/pasted what was from test version... which they did, even though it was still buggy).
