so what do you think to i13?

Hope it dont get to cartoonish, as would lose its draw to me, i like things to look more realistic then cartoony.
Another reason i stopped playing WoW was its way to cartoonish, Champions online also looks way to cartoonish from what ive seen.
As long as CoH maintains the same sorta feel, immersion it has i will keep playing it.
Granted i13 i feel was not up to a standard i was hoping for , has a few nice touches but in all its quite a mediocre issue, i14 not sure if its be good or bad having a mission creator, to early to say.
But im sure alot be looking forward to more in the next issue then what we seem to have got in i13.

100% how i feel too. Like that this game has a "real world" feel to it

i13 has always been a filler of an issue, due to drop of i14.
The PvP changes were unexpected however but its not really done much in attempts to get people to play it, theres no reason for casual players to PvP, no rewards no incentive.
My Thoughts Of I13
Random mapserver losses again which I havent had since I12, how come every issue it pops its ugly head up again but a week or so later it goes again?
People are expecting a lot more from the devs nowadays compared to a year ago, and this issue just wasnt up to scratch.
Also its clear that now the people in charge are trying to tempt some of the WoW and Warhammer market over here by all the swords shields and magic kit they got going. This worries me deeply, im really tired of these weapons sets. The only other weapons sets id like to see would be spears and pistols, thats it.
I hope the devs realise that most of the players that are here, are here because they dont particularly like WoW. Ive seen enough games plummit because they have attempted to copy WoW. If CoH goes in the same direction thats it for me with MMO's.
I am staying on CoH for the time being and I am enjoying shield, but its very much getting to the point where its the same content over and over.
Also it seems that villains are getting neglected more and more every issue. Since the release of VEATs theres not been much good going on villain side except pain domination, which i still havent tried because i can see it been a farmers favorite.
The release lag and mapservers aside, I'm loving i13 so far; mainly because my PB has become REALLY scary in a fight!
Zombie raid on Friday night, my health barely moved and I was going through zombies like a hot knife through butter, thanks to almost all my resistances being capped out, and a nice damage boost in there as well. Loving the Cosmic Balance in forms.
Last night, did an ITF for the first time ever. Even with the problems of Lag Hill, I had a silly amount of fun and with the final fight at the end, the Nictus were barely scratching me!
Yeah, I like i13. It's made my PB what she should have been from the start!
@FloatingFatMan
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
In short, some nice bits in it, but nothing that really grabs my interest.

I hope they don't. I know quite a few people who like WoW & CoH, myself being one. Even if you added another few magic based costume sets and a few magic based powersets the game wouldn't be remotely like WoW. WoW is more than about what you attack with, just as CoH is more than what powersets you have.
As for games that ape WoW, most of the dire ones are those that aimed themselves to be WoW replacements which is not going to happen. CoH can't be a WoW replacement due to its back story, game play and design. Just as it will never be a 'fantasy' MMO just because you can pretend some of the powers are purely fantasy origin.
Shields were added due to player demand, how is that bad?
I love the new shinyness i13 brought. I understand that this is not my graphic card but actually changes in the game graphics. I like them especially when the sun is setting.
I like the small improvements in the QoL. The introduction of new contacts, the way badges are arranged. I like the idea that i can start improving my SG bases i have inherrited.
I havent tried out the new missions yet but working on that. Currently i am trying some shield wielders. New AT's are always fun to try out a bit.
I don't like the merrit system. I prefered the random goodie in the end more. But people seem more interested in running the less popular TF's so i guess it might work out.
Day jobs are interesting. To bad though that almost all of my toons seem to have tons of unwanted on Patrol stuff.
The thing that seem to be missing though is a reason to dust off my old toons and start enjoying new content. That is a big miss in my book.
Weirdly I've been going back to old toons that i had left behind and giving them a go again largely because of the patrol XP my red/rad defender has for instance languished at 29 at least a year probably longer but i got him to 30 last night and i want to continue playing him now which means reactivating the account he's on (dam you NCsoft dam you)
How long this urge to play him will last I'm not sure but the great thing is when i do loose interest and drift to another alt ill have a little XP boost waiting for me when i come back to him.
Love most of the content I've tried but the bugs are annoying.
To me this was released a fortnight early
Thelonious Monk
I think the worst bug by far is the one that fragmnents chat.

I think I've played 10 better issues than it
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
I didn't play in 0, 1 and 2

Apart from some bugs and the irritating way turning off toggles work, I13 seems pretty good. Tried out the new artifact recovery missions, nice addition. And the way special contacts are introduced now is perfect.
It's still to early to resub though, the interest just isn't that strong atm. I'm gonna hold off until I14 and take a peek again then.
Thanks for the weekend NC, it was fun while it lasted!
