Team Synergy
8 man Fire / Rad controller superteam.
Took us about 100 hours 1-50, great laugh.
Oh and happy birthday
Kat/Regen Scrapper and two Empath/* Defenders.
Never run out of endurance, 2000% health regen, hit like a freight train, perma-hastened. Scrapper heaven.
And the two girls got to sit back and chatter while I slaughtered things and their XP clocked up, so they were happy.
And I bet you were after something deep and meaningful.

Happy Birthday.
My best team synergy is any bunch of random powersets. How we gel is another matter.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
One of our sg cohorts "passions flame" was raving about a fire rad troller team he was part of that flew him to 44 before he went onto a new toon, not sure if its the same one but he wont shut up about it (bless 'im)
On a more connected note one of the best experiences I can recall team-wise would have to be an old STF our sg put together way back.
After a couple of failed attempts in pugs, my (1st 50) blaster was about to be set aside for a new toon but lo and behold our sg rallied together, spent a few days collectively picking warburg for all 3 nukes each. Then a raid on BB for shivvies and those who hadnt previously done it, a full sg katie hannon, so loaded with horrendous temps (dunno where you put 3 nukes, a giant jelly alien and a witch, big pockets i guess) we set off on the ol' states.
Now i have never seen 2 av's drop so [censored] rapidly,we breezed it through the early mishes and got to the last one, dropped scirrocco and widow before our sg leader shouted for the next target, and never have i seen them drop like that again........ahh memories
(team wise iirc had an en blapper/emp/ice blapper/granite/2 ma-regens/an earth and a rad troller repectively)

A bunch of VEATs.
Recently a PuG on villains made up of a Crab Soldier, a Night Widow, 2 brutes, my Necro/Dark MM, a Robotics/Traps MM, a Fire dom and a Kinetics/Dark corrupter.
Steamrolled everything in our way, everything was red and purple to me and most of my teammates (think the leading Crab was 37 on Invinc, I was 36).
Just a really nice spread of ATs which all seemed to compliment each other really well (and were played well).
When Issue 12 came online and everybody was leveling up veats. Now that was an amazing time. Full teams the whole day for a week or so. Amazing and best fun I had. It also showed the powers of the veat when working together.
I usually can't remember which ATs I've had the best teams with - especially as bad-ish teams can also be enjoyable in their own way
Also, Happy Birthday

My best Team Synergy was Team Synergy, the 1st all defender super team way back when. Go 1AT.
My regular villain group steamroll's well. Usually two Brutes(DB/WP + SS/Invuln), two Stalkers (Claws/SR + DB/SR), Ice/Fire Dom, Dark Corr and the occasional Bots/...something Mastermind. Utter map-gank. Often, any mixture of these AT's works exceptionally well.
Ice/storm weekly superteam
Taking down Kracken at level 11 with the Mind/Kin superteam.
Otherwise my Fire/Dark brute, a Ice/Kin cor and a Ice/Cold cor with 5 others......... I say 5 others cause there were complaints that they never had anything alive to fight......... maybe that's a power trio.
As a duo my Elec/Fire brute and MaX's Rad/Thermal Corr did difficult things stupidly easily
the 5 brute, 3 Dom team I was on in I6 was stupidly fun too, only person I remember for definite that was on that was Dead Calm. Domination and fury were running wild for a couple of hours there. Probably not the most effective team you'd build on paper but damn it was good
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.

Eight legs, one body, silk,

I suppose my 3rd run of the ITF x4 /kins 1 tank, 1 stalker, 1 Fortunata & a Crab Spider that was a fun team
One weekend I played the scrapper version of my tank: Tower of Power.
Broadsword/Inv (as opposed to inv/ss).
I logged on, lvl 10 in the Hollows and got a new mission, which happened to be Frosty.
I don't often feel like teaming, even less so to start one, but that weekend I did.
The team ended up with 5 scrappers, 2 controllers and a defender.
I took that team through most of the day, ploughing through just about everything that came in our path.
That was great fun people left and were replaced (preferably by the same AT). The leveling was good too, I got several tells over the day by people who came back from having logged to see if there's room.
That Sunday I logged on Tower of Power. as well, withing 2 minutes I had tells asking if I had a new team!
That was a good weekend, probably not impressive level wise, 12 levels in 2 days, but it was good in my book!
Almost a shame that now, a few months later he's still lvl 22
So, basically... 5 scrappers and 3 support AT's

I wish I could remember the best team combination that I've ever worked with. All I can remember is that we managed to complete the MoSTF in one go, first off! It was a mixture that I didn't think was going to work - yet lo and behold, they all went down, and we didn't!
Just goes to show you, when it really works, you remember the event, not the types! The best teams are the smoothest ones!

Did an 8 defender STF that worked and was stupidly fun. 7 Deaths and 6 of them were in the attempt of trying to take LR down without touching the towers (didn't work)
Dont know how I could forget that

IIRC! it was the same as mine. 3 Kat scrappers (one of them me), your ice blaster, grav/ff, sonic/elec (Mael?), rad/something, inv/SS
No Empath, No Stoner. Was one the happiest moment of my 'you don't nead a healz0r to winzor' preaching. I could be wrong, but I remember there being an ice blaster amongst all that
Yep, that would be me. I did my fair share of healing / clearing as and when I could - but only field level, nothing 'aura' based. Just little top ups between blasting/freezing!

VEAT launch was a good time. I remember a solid run through a story arc or two with my Crab Spider on a team made up of 4 VEATS and a varying team composition that usually had 1-2 MMs, 1-2 Brutes, a Dominator or a Corruptor. I think we did the Freak/Shaper arc in a Saturday arvo on max rep with several of the team trailing a level or two.
A villain SG I am part of runs a VEAT night - a 6-8 person team (including a Cold Corruptor) typically shreds regardless of difficulty, can punch above it's own weight on Relentless, and hold s no challenges as long as the team stays mostly in LOS. It only becomes challenging if more than 8 ppl show up - at which point we split into two smaller teams and still chew pretty well.
A similar launch effect was had when Dual Blades/Willpower went live - it was possible to join starting level teams with 4 DB/WP scrappers, and once they started getting their first pair of combination in the team became a lawnmower with legs.
Nothing gets trampled faster than when theres 8 masterminds and 48 pets steamrolling through any map.
If lag isn't a problem that is.

When I was on the US servers, my SG ran a once-a-week all Corruptor team. We had only made it to the mid-20s when I left, but we were steamrollering through everything at that level.
The most important part of the synergy, of course, was the constant stream of wisecracks and rubbish being spouted off as we did it
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator
That is also, another key to success!

I've had so many "good synergy" PUGs I can't really pick out any one as ultra-special.
I really think it's mostly to do with good/experienced players - any combination of ATs can steamroller, if everyone plays in a way that meshes together and all play to each others' strengths. But that takes a bit of experience in having played most ATs and powersets, and knowing what they need out of you to work at their best, and if everyone's thinking like that - STEAMROLLER.
But if the experience level is mixed, then until the late game when they're not so needed, a Tank in the team is a reasonably good guarantee of synergy, simply because, since they take the aggro, everyone else can do their thing hassle-free.
For me, the "classic" team (that I usually aim for when forming a team, unless I get some whim to try some other kind of combination) is to have at least the standard 5 ATs, then fill with damage to taste. Tank, Controller, Defender, 2 Scrappers and 3 Blasters will do the trick any day of the week.
What's been your best team experience? We've all had at least one. Something happens, you team up and enemies fall, no matter who they are. You and the team just plough through everything like a hot knife through butter.
My most recent synergy was upon starting out with my new spines/dark scrapper. I joined a sewer team figuring I could get at least five levels out of it. So we began, cutting through the Hellions fairly easily and then moving to the fabled 'room of death' as I call it with the Vahzilok Eidolons. Wasted. Then we figure we should go deeper and the next wipe we all leave so we proceed, deeper and deeper, passing the Vahz and onto the Lost. While we dropped one or two, we survived and proceeded further and further until we were almost to the center so we set a goal to make it to the nearest exit and we did - Skyway City. We said 'hi' to Synapse and Mynx and then logged out, most of us around lv8. Best start ever.
What's been your synergy?
