If you've used the TF and VR then what options do you have? Wait for the next issue release or buy a very expensive recipe
This gives players new options, and also generates some revenue for the game we love so much.

Not so much an exploit as [trying to word this carefully, to avoid the pitfall that caught Hero2] an indirect alternative way of purchasing a Respec. And a naughty alternative at that - one that used to be spammed a lot, until recent changes...

As for having the option to buy a respec if you need one, and don't somehow have once kicking around (bear in mind that my main has 2 Earned respecs, 1 Freespec and 3 Vet Reward respecs available to him, and is also the ONLY toon I've had that I've ever actually respecced AT ALL), then this is fantastic.

That would be too much.
Example : you level X AT to 50 and could try out all powersets available within the AT.
Humm I don't mind this at all. I can see there being a market for those who don't have alot of time to play and would rather spend that time playing than trying to gather the inf for a respec recpie. Pluss extra cash NCNC get will filter back to us eventualy(hopefuly).
There is one thing i have a few spare respec's on toons I dont play any more could i sell them back to NCNC I won't charge £5.99 how does 1 purple or a LOG + 7.5% recharge as a swop sound.

i have to admit - a 'full' respec for 5.99 is highly unlikely as a 'full' respec has been argued as a game mechanic breaker. i never understood this but bowed to popular comments. if it became available i would use it - mechanic breaker or not as it would allow me to reinvent my toons which i think is great.

Superb - love this - alternate spin on it. You visit a lab and get the respec bottled up for selling. That would shake up the price of a respec recipe.

Respec micro transactions?.... well, last time I checked they were at 25-30 million Inf so.... <grimaces> understandable I suppose.
But then again so are Lv53 Hami's and Purplys, way up there in 8 figure sums. Why it should be kept at this current announcement and no more?, because if you start paying for anything else in game you bork the whole system that is working and striving for things.
I can see why its been done, everyone makes mistakes with their build and now you can pay to rectify that! (maybe we'll get bubbly at the player-meets now? ).
I get a sneaking suspicion it will probably mean a slight dumbing-down of the meticulous craft that is planning your build just right because you had to get it right if you only had the one respec.
Tentitively,.... a good thing, for the game for the players, for the experimentation of the Inventions system, but please NCSoft, make this the last thing you can substitute cold hard cash for in place of hard work.
Time (invested in-game) does equal money(inf) - you make it easy to substitute money for in-game effort - you lessen the achievement we feel for things.

well, i'm happy with my powerset but some people have been asking for powerest choice in teh respec. so what , you level up a blaster to 50 using AR/Dev and you want to try out ALL of the blaster possibilities.
thats how many combinations of powersets? 8 primary , 6 secondary, 5 ancillary (less the one he's already tried of course) and lets leave ancillary out of it as that is covered in a normal respec. (never was very good at combinations and permutations so I'm guessing that this is a straight forward 1 of 8 x 1 of 6 = 8x6 = 48 possibilities (however 1 has already been tried (AR/Dev) so that leaves 47.
47 x 5.99 = 281.53 euro
do this for each AT in the game (assuming they all have the same number of options:
10 x 281.53 = 2815.30
now add in VEATs and HEATs and then consider that power pools may be included in respecs but you'll run out of freespecs and have to do the trial each and every time.
thats quite a bit of cash.
I play through as the game wants me to. I have the benefit of enjoying the game and learning about the powerset I am playing. (all the arguments for why people shouldnt powerlevel) . I would have to play for 78 years to provide this level of revenue to NCNC.
so what if they dont stick around and pay subs. assuming they start playing at 12 years old, chances are they wouldnt live long enough to match it anyway
in all honesty my math looks to be a bit wrong. can someone check it and correct it if necessary ?
