Group name : Freelance Felines Inc.

Theme : Cat-person and affiliates themed SG.

Background & Structure:
Formed in the late 1950s by Feral Rein, Freelance Felines was origionaly created as a non-national support network for "supers" who did not want to be restricted by being under the dominion of a single nation state.
Activities:
-Mercenary operations.
-Security solutions.
-Rookie training and support.
-Legal and financial support for all members.
-Medical insurance and support.
-Pension fund.
-Living wage with bonus for active employment/contract.


Admission Notes/Requirements:
There are no real requirements other than the feline-theme, if you join the SG side we would like you to create an alt for the villain side to, if you have the room.

No more than 2 alts in one SG/VG too.

Group Name: Unity Vigil

Server/Game: Union City of Heroes

Theme: An officially sanctioned group of heroes and experts working together to benefit each other and Paragon.

Background & Structure: Formed recently by Zorielle Rolando, also known as the hero Zortel, the Unity Vigil was created as a way for heroes to band together with access to various federal and private organizations and have a centralized access to expertise. In addition to this, it offers heroes a chance to find people to work with to watch over their backs and to learn.

The Unity Vigil also works with the FBSA's Hero Experience program, to help young and new heroes gain valuble combat experience, and with the Metahuman Youth Reformation Scheme, which helps metahuman young offenders out of youth detention centres and provides them with training.

The Structure is Vigil Commander (Zortel), then Senior Members, Veteran Members, Members and Junior Members. Jnr. Members are those in the FBSA or MYRS Hero Experience Program, Members are those standard members, Veterans have showed great experience or are important liasion officers, and Senior Members are involved with the running of the Vigil.

Admission Notes/Requirements: Any heroes can become ordinary members, those with experience or links to a group such as the PPD or Portal Corps would be considered for Liasion Officer work, and would facilitate interactions with characters and such organizations in IC investigations. If you're interested in joining, a global tell or PM on the boards containing a few bits of information about your character would be useful, and then a meeting between Zortel and the character in question can be arranged.

Background/Structure: A disgruntled and mentally unstable American Cold War scientist has gained the Super-Powers of Paragon City's very own mascot, shining star and father of Heroes, Marcus "Statesman" Cole. Now calling himself "The Hatesman", he heads up the worlds most powerful Freelance Terrorist Cell, spouting propaganda and releasing Super-Villains into the world, intent on undermining, corrupting and ultimately destroying law and order in modern society. Everyone's a potential target, no one is safe! Who's side do you fight for in this battle for the Ultimate Anarchy?

Admission/Requirements: Your character has to be a true Super-Villian, the kind found in main-stream media Movies, Cartoons or Comics. They should be in little if any doubt they're the bad guy and have a violent allergy towards those pesky good-for-nothing Heroes! No Robot Masterminds. Bonus Villain Points for originality in overall character costume, powers, background story, personality or the ability to monologue like the greats.

Name: The Paragon Overwatch

Usual activities: Mission roleplay, social RP as well RP with villain SGs (Still being set up)

Background/structure: The Paragon Overwatch is a Supergroup controlled by the local goverment which is tasked with dealing with the effects of supercrime that are rarely deemed "worthy" of the masses of media attention usually given to things like giant robots and epic battles between super villains and heroes. These effects are things like: drugs trafficking, illegal sale of supertech, theft by super powered beings, etc. While it is not the most glorious job in the world it does have the advantage of being paid work. But the Overwatch is always having problems with funding and as such their base (a second hand one that used to belong to a 70's supergroup called "The Front") is still mostly sealed off as it needs to be cleaned of hazardous materials (the accomodation block is still buried under 6.4 tons of raw sewage). But we do have a dental plan.

Admission/Requirements: We welcome most people. The only real requirement is that your character has to have a valid heroes license and a mostly clean criminal record.

Background & Structure: Started by A-bomination in 2004, not recruiting until recently. Was started because the percieved lack of any truly Freedom-encouraging group. Has a strong political agenda, percieving the events of recent years as a perfect time to propagate the ideas of Social Evolution, Personal enlightenment and the true revolution. Has no actual structure, not any formal leadership.


Admission Notes/Requirements: The only requirement is that member characters are at least somewhat drawn to the anarchistic ideology.

Usual Activities: SG chat is considered to be said in-character over the wrist communicators unless otherwise stated. Members expected to stay mostly in-character, unless otherwise specified. (Large teams with a lot of non-rp'ers, for example)

Other Activities: The boards have an OOC part for diverse, and an IC part. When possible, we try to say things in character. For example, this post about Promotions a while back:

Background & Structure: All recruits start off as Sidekicks, which is a "Trial membership" of sorts. Once one sees it works out on all sides, one is usually promoted to "Hero". From there it goes to Veteran, if one is active on the boards, generally roleplays well, and is active in the society. Note that we try to be a society, not a random group - As such, communication between members becomes key. No communication, no society. Some Veterans allso have the privileges of building or interior design - Making them Veterans with Architect privileges. The Mentors try to assist where and when needed, not to mention keeping the group on interesting paths.

Admission Notes/Requirements:
"Any member of the supergroup that has been awarded "Veteran" rank or above, is expected to use the recruitment powers granted by that position, when it feels appropriate.

If your rank is Veteran or above, we expect your instincts on who to recruit, where and why, to be generally good. However, for the more logically oriented, here is a condensed checklist I have prepared for such occasions:

* Officially sanctioned Paragon City Hero, at least security level 1?
* Is the prospective member an interesting entity to be around?
* Does the recruit agree to contribute to the supergroup?

If a Hero possesses theese qualities, and you feel that Hero might fit in: Then by all means, recruit."

Background & Structure: Reaper Industries was initally started by Jack Remus when he was just 18 years old. Within four months of creation, Reaper Industries was already turning a profit of 12 million a week thanks to Jack's ingenius business tatics and ruthlessness, and mastered many weapon technologies. Now, Jack's gone past just turning a profit, and is combining his managing skills with his new technology he kept to himself, to create a business empire more powerful than even Arachnos.

Usual Activities:
This SG is quite new, so usual activities are not organised yet, but i plan a meeting every week (Prob some time between monday-wednesday)

Other Activities: Other activites Would include Forum RP, and organised plots with other SGs.

Background & Structure: All Newcomers will start as a sidekick, and will not be allowed onto some missions that require hero status or higher.The main team, Alpha, are a group who run the SG and take on the big missions, (Currently looking for 2 new alpha members). The Supergroup base is set in a space station orbitting earth and is still under construction. The SG was set up by Cpt. Patriot to band heroes together to work as a fighting force against any big threats to Paragon.

Admission Notes/Requirements: The only rules there is for admission, is that you are active, and that you can Roleplay. ALso SG mode will be required seeing how we are new and need to get a base up and running asap. To get in you must contact Cpt. Patriot and you will be given an interview. If you pass the interview, you will becoem a Sidekick, and then after a week of trial you will be permitted hero status.

Group Name: The Vector

Theme: Exodus / Colony - Aiming to founding an independant territory of our own. 'Our rules, our way, our vector'

Usual Activities: Constant RP with anything we do, be it general missions or talking to other villain population. As we have just started the group we have yet to do such activites as Strike Forces, Organised Zone Fighting or Vector Meetings. The group seeks low level Villains (10-15) to be apart of this new movement and Roleplay while playing every aspects of the game, that means alot of in-depth RP while doing Story-Arcs.

Other Activities:In the coming future we are looking to change our Vector from the Lunar Space Territory Base to our own Vector on (possibly) the Rouge Islands, we are still in disscusion of this matter.

Background & Structure: (Only brief as we have just started and we are looking to post a Thread about The Vector at a later date) - The creation of The Vector was the joining of the two SuperVillains known as, Lunar Mantis and Captain Orca. After taking down the whole Mafia Organisations in Port Oaks, the two realised they alone can create there own society. While using Lunar Mantis's Space facility they are slowing wanting to build there Lunar base and expand The Vector ranks.

The Vector Ranks (Lowest to Highest): Recruit - Trooper - Sergeant - Lieutenant - Captain.

Admission Notes/Requirements: Only contact either one of us in game or adress to me by the forums. Please be fully sure you are wanting to join a totally Roleplaying Group and that you are commited, as we will be playing these characters quite often and wanting to get the full experience of IC RPing while leveling through the game. Other Activates: We are thinking of moving our base from a city terrorised by storms, to the sacred place of Thor(Viking god of thunder/lightning/storms).

Background & Structre: After he lost his powers over storms, Phantom Blue found others who also lost their storm powers and founded Super-Storm, where they could find out a way to retreive their powers.

Super-Storm Ranks: Calm Wind - Hasty Wind - Severe Wind - Storm - Super-Storm

Admission Notes/Requirements: All that we ask you to day is say that you used to have Storm powers. Remember, you must promise this throughout the whole way of the SG, or you are not a member of the SG.

Background & Structure: Run by Chaos Bunny The Misfits have a very loose power structure, running more as a family of ragtag heroes rather than anything strict, we want everyone to be happy afterall! Any member can invite more members so you can always invite friends into the fold.

Group Name: Cult of Anubis

Server/Game: Union/City of Villains

Theme: Gothic religious overtone. Founded on the belief that only the strongest of warriors get the glory of afterlife, the SG is about proving yourself worthy against the foes. At the same time tries to prepare the world for the end of said world. But mostly it's just a bunch of beefed up guys given a reason to punch things.

Contacts: Me! @TerrorRat in game, either globally or by tell since it's also my current characters name, this SG is as fresh as gets so anyone wanting to do some serious RP, I really mean serious, we're talking IC actions and consequences, and helping start what could be a fun SG, send a tell either in game or PM here.

Usual Activities: Always RP, OOC will be limited as much as possible to force people to RP and get into the groove. Special channel will be set aside for OOC but SG channel will be considered as a commchannel between members and all missions run by the SG as an SG will be RPed to the fullest. Also, we try to encourage individual plotlines for each character, continuously running them to evolve characters naturally under structured conditions.

Other Activities: IC and OOC meeting will be held as often as possible to keep updated. Social gatherings in Pocket D to mingle and recruit will of course be as often as possible while in some degree there will be a comittee to think and write up decent plots to engage and envelope the whole SG, unity for the win.

Background & Structure: Founded during the end of the Rikti invasion, the SG revolves greatly around worshiping the egyptian death god Anubis who personally oversaw and judged those who died to see if they were worthy of becoming a star in the night. It is through this belief the SG will act to stengthen the individual, lending a helping hand to those willing to believe.
Structure is as goes: Initiate-Soldier-Speaker-Monk-Priest.
Initiate: Simply what you are when you join. This is for OOC-matter, first of all seeing how devoted you are to actually RPing and the SG as well getting to know you both IC and OOC. The length of this will differ from character to character, if you're rarely on or do little to earn trust IC, chances are you're not likely to advance at all.
Soldier: Second rank, when you're actually part of the SG and get to access both Forum and the rest of the base (at least IC wise). You'll be given a lot of trust to not only handle yourself well but to protect your fellow warriors. You're finally allowed to ask for help IC. (Level requirement: 10)
Speaker: Not much of a difference from soldier except that you're now also expected to spread the word and welcome sheep into the fold. You're also given the task to look after and tend to the flock, you will act like a kind of matron and also teacher, each Speaker will be assigned a few soldiers to teach and mentor as they see fit as long as it follows the guidelines of the SG.(Level requirement: 20)
Monk: This is the fourth, and in most cases the final promotion. If you reach this high, you've proven yourself completely devoted to the belief and you're ready to spend the rest of your life not only praying in the temple but to harden your body and continue to spread the word.(Level requirement: 30)
Priest: You don't only believe in the cause, you practically are the cause. At this rank, all those below you are bound by SG-law to obey immediately if asked to do something. It comes with great respect but it's not little that is asked of you. IC-wise you don't do anything but pray at the temple except for continuously hardening your body, while any rank before put little restrictions on your social life outside the ranks, you'll be spending very little time in Pocket D or any other place IC-wise except for missions and battles to continue hardening your body. OOC wise it comes with a lot of responsibility not to mention you'll have to get on my very good side to get this honour.

Admission Notes/Requirements: Considering it'll be a highly gothically themed base, anyone with high technology requirements it's not such a good idea to think about joining as most of the base, as much as possible, will be Arcane-themed. Also, any character who has no chance of believing in a God IC, you're not going to join as it's a requirement to show believ IC... at least pretend to. Other than that, previous RP experience preferred but we'll be happy to teach anyone to become better at it if possible. More at the site as it's developed.

After some consideration and planning, a few things have changed in my SG, nothing very noteworthy but I got it all on the site, still working on that but it's a beginning and to show I mean business with my SG. Also, as soon as I get around to it I'll write down my decleration of intent on the site so people know exactly what I want to do with my SG and why I created it... basically, give it a better description than above.

Group Name: Pact

Server/Game: Union/City of Villians

Theme: Basically, a band of ex-EVIL mercenarys who have splintred from the Immorality League to form their own business under their own rules, there is no particular theme really, trying to make the group as neutral as possible so everyone is welcome.

All of the members so far used to be in EVIL, IC and OOC problems caused a splinter. The core is essentially immersive roleplay. ICA=ICC is top of the list, everyone in the group knows that some actions lead to consiquences and everyone in the group realises and is willing to this.

Majority of the members in the group are currently standard Mercenarys, there is a few Meta-humans but no demi-gods, god-moders or anything along them lines, Roleplay is taken seriously although sometimes very humourous, aiming to be a friendly Villian Group, of which isnt actually a real evil Villian group, simply a rag-tag band of Mercenaries making their way in the world how they deem fit, most members have many Hero friends.

Background & Structure:

Founded on 29th of August several members of EVIL decided they'd be better off elsewhere, better money, more freedom and a more family like atmosphere in which everyone would look out for everyone, after an hour long secret meeting it was decided, the group name, the base of operations and the people who would be invited to come along. Each of the close knit members now looks to have the business flurish, and are looking for more Mercenarys who see it as more than a job, its a way of life.

Admission Notes/Requirements:

AT doesnt matter at all, nor does level, or how long you've been playing, if your new to Roleplay and are eager to learn theres no doubt people would help. Obvisouly the character would have to fit in the group, characters who join and just want to kill everyone including group members will be turned away. There is such thing as a sociable Villian group thats what Pact is aiming for.

Update on European Villainous Immorality League...

A change of ownership has resulted in the EVIL name no longer being seen or known in public, having been taken over by Dion Holdings Inc., and as far as anyone is aware EVIL has ceased to exist. However the organisiation is still very much around, just changed in form and function. This has also meant a change in the recruitment practices and a new forum (as the old one is borked, big time...)

So... New Forum...

IC recruitment is now sorta 'tap the shoulder of likely candidates and have a quiet word' in a sort of old fashioned spy-recruiting way... So we do need you to express the OOC desire to have a character join through the forum, and we'll get back to you about it...

Just to reiterate: In game as far as anyone is concerned, from 9/9/07, EVIL does not exist unless you are a member at that time, or have been informed of the continued existence by a member.

I realise there's a lot of OOC twiddling to make things work IC, but hey, that's life.

Group Name: Dark Myths of the Rogue Isles

Server/Game: Defiant Villains

Theme: Only just started out, I'm going for a kind of Organization that formed for many reasons. While some are in it pureply for the money others may hope to exploit the Group for their own gain. The purpose of the Group is it destroy those would would stand in our way, be them Heroes or Villains, they shall be cut down.

At the moment It's mainly Duo work withing the Group, though we do not have many members, at the moment I've found that Spiltting off Two people who cover the others weakness works well, is a good combination. We have come together if a mission was particularly difficult or more people wanted in. ((AKA RP all day, everyday))

Usual Activities: Missions and leveling at the moment. Though been to Pocket D a few times too. At later levels and hopefully if we get enough players we can form PvP raids at the later levels.

Background & Structure: Back ground of the Supergroup is pureply for power gain, so the Indivial might join for their own reasons, or they might join for the sake of finding out what can get them futher. As such the ranks are as follows;

Disturbing Rumor:Having just joined, you are as of yet nothing more than a Disturbing Rumor, But if you progress you may soon find yourself something more

Urban Legend:You are at this point a somewhat well known villain. You are no longer a rumor, but rather something to be feared. You deeds while working with the group have become more impressive, thus you have made it to this rank. Beyond this point you will need to prove your worth against Heroes to further your reputation.

Dark Myth:A Villain who has come this far is an adept killer. You have become something truely powerful and a force that is fear across the isles. The Group is forced to regonise you as a true Villain. This is the furthest point most Villains will get to in the Group

Circle Member:A maximum of 9 Circle members at any one time. These are our Groups Elite, our most vicious Villains. They are the most powerful, and have feats under their belt with clearly set them apart from eveyone else. To achieve this Rank you must have an Outstanding rank in the arena and/or in Player vs Player. If there are already 9 Members, you may Challenge one to a Fight for the rank, Though you must be a Dark Myth to do so.

Timeless Evil: The top rank in the Supergroup, The one who's pulling the strings so to speak. This rank is the Single Strongest Member in the Group. (Though this is currently me, when i get to levels 35+ I will hand it over, should someone Surpass me) However, to gain this rank you must have popularity among the other members and they must want you to be the Leader, not the current one, and also, You must defeat the current one with atleast 2 Observers.

Admission Notes/Requirements: We are low levels At this point in Time, I'm hoping to get other members who level with us, as in roleplaying that would be like each character growing stronger at different rates, like it really would. Though if you're a higher level i have no problems with that either, all welcome.

Usual Activities: Arresting those who use magic for evil purposes, teaching and mentoring young mages/angels and demons/dragons/whatever, and generally doing supergroupy stuff

Background & Structure: Formed by Arthur Ignis (still current guildmaster), and there are 5 ranks (Like most SGs)

Outsider: Lowest rank, indicates a new member.

Scholar: Someone who's learning or being mentored. Most students fall into this category.

Guild Mage: The basic rank for reasonably experienced mages.

Savant: The most experienced of all of the mages in the guild.

Founder: The leader. Currently Art, still.

The guild also has a guildhouse on the outskirts of Atlas. It's warded and enchanted, and several spirits live in it. Despire running on magic rather than conventional power, most of the interesting stuff in the guild is in the basement.

Admission Notes/Requirements: The only thing that we require is a magical disposition, either from heritage, training or belief. This includes things like elementals, dragons, fairies, and people who are naturally magic.

I'm guessing that this whole thread, and every post in it, exists for no other purpose than recruitment. Maybe someone posted just because they had nothing else to do, but I think the majority put the effort into providing enough background for you to find a group that may best match your character, and style of roleplay, and use the contact details provided.

If a few of the groups have ceased recruiting, and not updated this thread to reflect that, then they're unlikely to answer the question posed here either.

Assume all are recruiting still.

If you then find a closed or defunct group, feel free to add a post here saying so for the next reader.
