Group Name: Hero Heights

Server/Game: Infinity / City of Heroes

Theme:Welcome to Hero Heights! We are an unusual neighborhood.

Crime just doesn't happen here. That might be because the shoplifters that tried to rip off Holman's Market three years ago didn't know that Mr. Holman was The Wall before he retired in the 1980s. Or was it because Ms. Quicklight was shopping there at the time? No, it was probably because Mandy, Mr. Fashion's 6-year-old daughter, used her heat vision when one shoplifter pulled a gun, and Pastor Henry encased the other perp in ice until the police could arrive.

The three-block area that is the Hero Heights neighborhood has earned its reputation mainly because approximately 30 percent of its residents have meta abilities. The rest of our neighbors are happy knowing that in one place on earth, they are truly safe.

Maybe metas come to this close-knit community just north of Galaxy City looking for a place they feel like they belong, and we are proud to be that place. Heroes here do not face the discomforting celebrity status and near-worship that many people with hero licenses suffer. Other are comforted that there are other people who understand just down the block.

A year after the first invasion, people who remember the area as the Gerszewski Hill neighborhood remember a different place than it is today. The devastation that had visited much of the city allowed a community that was already in decline to become a haven for the Hellions and Tsoo. Gang wars became common. All but the most stubborn or desperate residents left. Things finally turned around when Fusion Fuss returned to her childhood home and, disturbed, convinced her small supergroup to help drive out the evil that was there.

Driving out the gangs was easy. Convincing them not to return after the heroes went home was a different matter. Frustrated, Fusion bought an old apartment building and offered reduced rent to any person with a hero license. Many fledgling heroes took her up on her offer. Then, a few of the more veteran bachelors took up residence and Fusion bought a second building. Eventually, heroes and other metas began moving in on their own and Hero Heights became what it is today.

Group Name: The Teamsters

Server/Game: Protector/City of Heroes

Theme: None

Webpage: Our forum is located here.

Contacts: @DJKyo, @Dr. Scrap

Usual Activities: Roleplaying (both in and out of missions), creating and playing AE arcs for the purpose of advancing personal and SG storylines, task forces in character

Other Activities: Shenanigans. No, really.

Background & Structure: Started as a group intended for heroes who enjoy teaming, the Teamsters became a roleplaying SG after the original leader left the server. We've got a little of every origin (a LOT of magic origin) and many of our members play faerie characters (related to our story). We're always in character and always willing to team with other SG members and coalition members, and all of our coalitions are roleplaying SGs as well.

Admission Notes/Requirements: We accept pretty much anyone who's willing to stick around and put forth effort to get involved. If you want to run with us once or twice before joining, you're more than welcome to test the waters, just send me a tell and I'll let you know what's going on and help you get involved.

City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

Group Name: The Penumbra Organization

Server: Protector

Theme: Doing dark deeds for profit and political clout.

Webpage: None currently

Contacts: @Mr Grey

Usual Activities: Right now, recruitment.

Working out the issues with roleplaying on Redside. Since Villains tend to be a selfish lot, it's hard to come up with decent reasons for a group of disparate evil-doers to work together.

Background: Started as an attempt to make an opposite to Teamsters. On to something of a slow start at the moment.

Admission Requirements: Be a roleplayer, be into roleplaying, and don't have too many qualms about committing felony after felony... For PROFIT! Not to mention helping the leader to slowly try to destroy the world...

The IHMC is a 1% motorcycle club. Which means that we're the outlaws. That 1% of the motorcycle riders in the US that don't obey societies rules and laws. We live by our own laws. Our own codes. We don't let others tell us what to do. We do what we want.

We ride only Harley Davidson motorcycles. No leaners or crotch rockets. If you ride rice burners this ain't the place for you. We're motorcycle enthusiast. Not rice grinding toys enthusiast. So if you expect to ride and hang with us. Ya better ride a mans bike.

If you're interested in prospecting. Well hang around. If we think you're worthy of our patch we'll ask you to prospect. You don't ask us for it. Aside from that. Kick back relax. Grab a cold beer and a hot lady and enjoy.
((You can check out our website and post an app there if interested. We accept begining RP'ers as well as Vets. If you don't want to be a biker and simply wanna hang out with a bunch of bikers. Feel free to join up and rp with us or coalition your vg with ours. Look forward to seeing all of you virtue!

Group Name: United Heroes of America

Server/Game: Freedom / City of Heroes and Champions Online

Theme: Superpowered FBI Agents

Webpage: http://www.unitedheroesofamerica.com

Contacts: @Endal

Usual Activities: PvP Events, TF Events, AE Events, RP Support.

Other Activities: Costume Contests, "Sporting" Events (ie: races, falling contests, TF Races, etc...), RP Support (Help writing bios and back stories on VirtueVerse or on our website).

Background & Structure:
Formed in secret by J. Edgar Hoover, the United Heroes of America were formed to protect the rights and freedoms of all citizens of the United States. Originally the UHoA was created to work as a combined action between the various departments that protected the States. The founding member, J. Edgar Hoover, knew that the only way to be truly secure in a government that would protect the citizens of our country would be to have certain “special” people on the higher levels of it’s government. It was with that thought that J. Edgar began the Federal Beaurau of Investigation as a way of finding these “special” individuals.

The first such one was found in 1944, shortly after the death of Adolf Hitler, he was a young soldier in the Marines named Franklin Thomas. Franklin, or Sipher as he would come to be known, was one of the greatest code crackers on the planet, not by any training, but merely by the genetics of his family. Sipher could view any riddle, puzzle, or code of any sophistication and immediately give you the answer to the problem.

Second was a nurse who had been working near the front lines during the second World War, her name was Fabiette LeBelle, she was a French woman who had immigrated to the states in the early ’30s to escape the invading Germans. When the depression hit she found that she could either join the working forces or join the Army of Nurses, it was a strange ability to soothe wounds that were fatal to merely be simple flesh wounds. Her involvement during WW II was a pivitol turning point for our side.

Finally, there was the young boy who approached J. Edgar one morning on his way into the FBI office, his name was simply Nathan. Nathan came to J. Edgar and told him that he would find what he had been looking for in the far back of his desk drawer, J. Edgar looked at the boy, puzzled, and then invited him up to his office, where he found the pen that his father had given him at his graduation nearly 14 years earlier, he had lost the pen months ago. He asked the boy how he knew where the pen was and he merely shrugged, not knowing himself, just that he knew that the man was looking for something and that it was there. Nathan told him that he knew it as clearly as anything he had ever known, but he wasn’t entirely sure WHAT it was that he was looking for.

With the coming together of the United Heroes of America, J. Edgar Hoover influenced the world in ways that no one could ever imagine. No secrets would ever bypass him, he could keep key people who were injured for any reason alive and well, and with the powers of Nathan, he would know what to expect in an upcoming situation.

It wasn’t until 2004, when the Rikti Invasion began that the presence of the UHoA was publicly known. The original four members expanded grossly to number more than 40 members, all sworn to secrecy about their involvement with the government, but generally publicly known. Among the leaders of the UHoA were the Endal Family. Gage Endal, an incredibly powerful psychic, lead the group at that time, as he was one of the keenest minds in the world when it came to tactical knowledge. Gage’s brother, Timpleton, was second in command, one of the most powerful men on the planet, Timpleton was hit full in the chest with one of the Rikti’s plasma cannons and was completely unphased by the blow. Unfortunately, his wife, Sasha, was NOT unphased by the blow. The shock wave that ripped off of his chest sent her into a coma, that was never fully awakened, but her body was given up to the Kheldian Act to host a spirit of the alien race.

With the Endal family leading the way, the UHoA helped to fight the Rikti out of Independence Port and freed the power plant of any Rikti involvement. It was through the power of the UHoA that the plant was able to be protected as long as it was and it was they who worked to protect the plant while the forcefield generator was put in place to keep the Rikti out.

The UHoA is now a publicly known entity and strives to protect the United States from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Admission Notes/Requirements:
We are both an RP and a PvP SG, that basically means that while we do enjoy our RP (which we usually hold to be rather light) we are also out to team up and take down some other players. It's really a lot of fun and with the new Praetorian Earth system we can even get a few villains to help us out.

Name: Grasp of the Undying

Server: Virtue/City of Villains

Theme: Those who have somehow cheated death or overcome it. Starting as a union, building into a cult.

Webpage: None. I'm not good with website design.

Contacts: @Suffusion, Undying Enmity

Usual Activities: Roleplay, missions, PvP events, cooperative events.

Background & Structure:
This group was formed only recently by an assassin known as The Undying Enmity. While his story is that it's simply a conglomerate to focus power and oppose groups such as Arachnos or the Council, the truth is far darker.

Enmity is in fact a living conduit to the netherworld, albeit against his will. After numerous conflicts with the Circle of Thorns, he uncovered evidence of Circle rituals that mirrored the technology used to force his powers upon him, and settled on a plan of action: he would gather people of like experiences together into a close-knit group, and use their combined links to the nether to weave a sieve of sorts, allowing him to draw upon the netherworld's power without risking being overwhelmed by it.

Once his powers are stabilized, he will reveal the true face of the Grasp: it is an organization that will eventually draw all into its fold, slaying any who oppose them and resurrecting the worthy to serve them. After their world views have been sufficiently altered, of course.

The structure is simple: if a scrap of the netherworld clings to you and you show potential, you can rise high in the group, although only their leader can claim the title of The Undying. For those who show great potential but have no scars from the netherworld, they sometimes see a shadow out of the corner of their eye one night. When they wake up, they have that scrap of the netherworld, and Enmity has a new lieutenant.

Admission notes/requirements:
While we enjoy our RP, sometimes we're not content to just sit around and talk; action must be taken! As long as you're alright with doing villainous missions and teaming up to assassinate some poor schlub, you should find a place in the Grasp.

Contacts: @Jordan Andrew - @Damashep

Usual Activities: Weekly events, costume contests, AE Archs

Other Activities: Occasionally celebrate various accomplishments

Background Structure: Founded on January 15th, 2010, we've had many agents come and go but we've remained strong and prosperous.

Group Name: Solidarity

Server/Game: City of Heroes: Virute

Theme: Hybrids and Hybrid Sympathizers, (Werewolves, Felinathropes, Dragons, and everything in between). Also includes Aliens, Robots, etc. This is not however limited to hybrids. Any human that wishes peace between all earth's living creatures should be able to fit in.

Webpage: [url="http://cosolidarity.guildlaunch.com/"]

Contacts: @Panaxiom - @FullMoonRising

Usual Activities: Roleplay plots done in classic interaction, and Architect-based stories. Casual roleplay within SG Chat. Fun, otherwise, in the game building characters, stories, and advancing missions.

Other Activities: We banter in TeamSpeak when we're not totally engrossed in RP. We are also player focussed in how we look at the game and Roleplay. This doesn't take from our characters or stories. It just puts importance on the people behind the keyboard as we roleplay.

Background Structure:

Solidarity is a movement that was founded with the purpose of bringing harmony between mankind and hybrids by recruiting those who will help dispell the common myths associated with those who aren't quite human, nor entirely animal. Housing more than werewolves, the movement hopes to establish a common ground between humanity and others who aren't entirely human anymore. There are many facets to the group. Some live in the city and prefer more human lives. Others live out in the wilderness, embracing their primal nature instead. Werebeasts, manimals, humans, even aliens. We accept all that wish to see a future where humans, hybrids, and everything else are free to be what they are. We desire a united earth.

(( Solidarity is a group of roleplayers who are interested in enjoying the game with one another in a casual setting. We seek to offer an environment that promotes meaningful and high-quality roleplay: conducive toward the growth and development of our characters. We also hope to elevate players just as much as we do our characters; encouraging more than just a guild of players, we are a group of friends. Players that join can expect friendly faces, and people that they can look up to when it comes to communication in roleplay, as well as friendly interaction as players. ))

Gallio has a lot of RP potential, but the only RPer I've met was redside and zany. Does anyone know of any active RPSGs on Victory?

Group name: The Contemptibles

Sever/game: Union Coh

Theme: Espionage with regard to investigation of private companies employing Meta humans and keeping "tabs" on the Hero comunity at large.

Webpage: I will look at a forum once Ive weighed up pros and cons of hosting sites
Contacts: @longier

Background: Alarmed at the proliferation of private companies employing "Super-powered" individuals operating on U.S soil, Colonel Reynolds (formerly of British inteligence but currently serving with the Vanguard) approached the U.S government with concerns that having a more covert and hands-on group without the bureacracy of the FBSA would be a sound investment. The C.I.A shared the good Colonels concerns and a Congressional committee (formed mostly of Congressmen with ties to the C.I.A) was setup to evaluate evidence presented by colonel Reynolds, the project was quickly green lit and the colonel was given substantial covert C.I.A backing to assemble a group of agents to observe the goings on of the "super-powered" comunity at large and take appropriate actions when required.
With Backing secure the colonel has begun recruiting ex-military personel posing as merceneries to act as deniable assets and engage in black ops against rogue elements of the "super-powered" comunity, for it is as the colonel says "Sometimes doing the right thing takes contemptible actions"

Admission notes/Requirements: The colonel is currently looking to recruit mainly ex-military personel, but private individuals will be considered for membership if they prove to be suitable.
((If folks are intrested please drop Me an ingame email or forum Pm of your toons noteable exploits and general behaviour traits with reasons why you would want to join and the colonel will track them down for an interview. ))

Group Name: The EYE OF HORUS

Server/Game:
Virtue

Theme: Early 20th century pulp

Contacts: Grimstalk on Virtue, or @NoJusticeNoPeace

Background & Structure: Beneath the glittering spires of Paragon City lie shadows upon which the light of day dare not shine. It is here that only a terrible few take courage to tread the secret paths and byways of power, a dark cabal of Nietzschean Overmen whose path is illuminated by the wisdom of the all-seeing EYE OF HORUS!

We're looking for people who love the old pulps, and who understand the larger-than-life style of roleplay they entail: an admixture of hard-boiled detective novel, overwrought, Lovecraftian, purple prose, and dimestore comic books. In the spirit of the pulps, the SG - played as an elitist secret society bent on saving the world from itself through whatever means necessary - has a faux-Egyptian theme. Players are expected to create a pulp-themed hero or anti-hero, which means capes-and-underpants will not be in great supply. Roleplay should be fun but immersive, which means it's more about style than plotting soap opera character arcs.

We don't want a huge group, just a handful of people, each of whom can stake out her or his own personal schtick. We want everyone to feel unique - something critical to the pulp feel - and have a chance to share the spotlight.

Contact Grimstalk (an undead 15th century assassin-killing existentialist who refers to himself as the "Murderer Supreme," talks in the third person, and narrates his overwrought internal dialogue aloud), or send game mail to @NoJusticeNoPeace if you're interested.

Name: Father Gerard Henri's Home for Wayward Youth

Server/Game:Virtue/City of Villians

Currently Recruiting: Currently seeking like-minded RPers to fill our ranks.

RP Level: RP-Intensive? That sounds nice and professional. So... yes... RP-Intensive. Like Intensive Care -- Wait.. That doesn't make-

PvP Level: None (Though you are welcome to kick as much heiney as you like privately)

Theme/Concept: We're a redside RP-heavy group on the Virtue Server. But we're not villains -- instead, Father Gerard Henri’s Home for Wayward Youth focuses on orphaned or abandoned teens. While the home is filled with mostly normal orphans, a small group of them (PCs) are being trained secretly by the faculty in order to use their powers and skills to improve life in the lawless Etoiles.

Activity: We're seeking intelligent and respectful roleplayers who enjoy creating stories in nuanced situations (like living in the Isles but still trying to do the right thing). We want to avoid epic characters with staggering powers and colossal backstories -- we're gritty, we're down-to-earth, we're about the little details that make stories sing. Most importantly, we want people who are as invested in the group and the stories of others as they are in their own.

Activities include exploring the Isles and its hidden areas, running AE missions, and just enjoying each other's company. We want a community of RPers that share a common environment.

Requirements for Membership: Our environment and setting has been called unique by some. Others don't use such nice words. We expect our members to accept our environment/reality and help build it with us. We are a community that wishes to keep our stories from crossing over to a certain level of 'epicness'. Interested? Please look on our board for how to join.

Leadership:Theo Walker, Petra Martin

In-Game Contact(s): @TheMindfulFool, @A-Muses

Out-of-Game Contact(s): TheMindfulFool is the OOC Contact area. However, you should try contacting from our boards at http://www.fatherhenrihome.com/forum/index.php.

URL: www.fatherhenrihome.com

Coalition(s): Always interested in meeting like minded individuals who care to share a common story!

Other Details: We mostly are just looking for people who want to RP within the setting we've established. We want storytellers, players, and (most importantly) nice and respectful individuals.
