  1. Thanks for the advice, and if I was using a mouse that'd be great. Unfortunately, I'm relegated to the trackpad because I can't rely on having a place to use a mouse. If anybody knows how to make the mouse 3 button work on a Mac trackpad, please let me know. In the meantime, I'll experiment with the keys.
  2. [Edit:] My apologies, somehow this got double-posted. Please disregard this thread.
  3. Hello all, if I could get an answer to this question that's been plaguing me, I'd really appreciate it.

I've been trying to set up head-on screenshots for VirtueVerse and the like, but I can't seem to figure out how to rotate the camera without also rotating my character. If it makes a difference, I'm on a MacBook laptop.

Thanks for the help in advance!
  4. From WSPDR Online, 1/8/2011:

    Something Wicked This Way Comes

Nearly three hundred high-ranking members of the Legacy Chain were found dead on a smugglers' cargo ship today. The bodies were alternately mutilated, missing limbs, or dead with no clear cause.

After extensive research and Arachnos interrogation of Circle of Thorns informants, the story has begun to come together. Apparently, this event had to do with the Leviathan, a legendary beast of obscene power. The Legacy Chain had assembled an international army to overwhelm a small group known as the Grasp of the Undying. Neither group involved could be reached for comment, but the Circle of Thorns has theorized that it would take a nearly unfathomable amount of power, exceeding that of even Statesman or Lord Recluse, to deal with such a massive army so effortlessly.
  5. Explosions rock Cap Au Diable!

Several links in the PTS pipeline, as well as an entire Arachnos base, suddenly went up in smoke with the sound and fury of a new Krakatoa. When questioned about the incident, Arachnos agents threatened this reporter with death, and Longbow operatives could only speculate that the hot new villain in town, a shadowy figure named Undying Enmity - who, oddly enough, had been presumed dead after a cataclysmic showdown with an entire platoon of Gold Brickers - was responsible, as he had been seen in both areas, and dead Longbow and Arachnos agents bore wounds in his style.

Several eyewitnesses at the PTS plant confirmed the reports of Undying Enmity's involvement. Said one worker, "It was amazing! Scary, but amazing. They just kept shooting him, but he didn't go down. One Longbow even put a bullet through his head, and he kept coming anyway! I think he even pulled out their souls..."

Security footage shows what is presumed to be Undying Enmity, although it is heavily blurred as images of him always are.

Undying Enmity could not be reached for comment, but Melissa Bridges, the columnist who reported him dead, has gone missing.

    Bio:
At one time, the man who would become The Undying Enmity was one of the most infamous assassins in the northeast United States. He preferred to work with his hands, eschewing guns or poisons in favor of stealth and neck-snapping. He can no longer remember much about his life, but knows that his teen and college years were spent globetrotting and getting into heinous amounts of bizarre trouble.

Feeling the pressure of the law beginning to close in on him, he took a job from a trusted contact - a childhood friend, in fact - that was supposed to be the retirement job: something to big, so important that the pay would set him for life. He was to meet with his employer on a cargo ship, where he would be given the dossier and transport to his target's location. Instead, he was somehow knocked unconscious and awoke in the hold, bolted to a medical slab.

A masked doctor injected him with some substance while wheedling about making subservient super-soldiers. The assassin suddenly blacked out, but not before hearing the doctor scream in terror. When he awoke, he found that his skin had been replaced with a suit; his very RNA had been altered to grow the suit instead of regular dermal flesh. He could regenerate from even fatal wounds, vanish into thin air, leap massive distances, and even channel dark energies from the netherworld, but it came at a price: he hears the netherworld creatures, whispering in his ears every moment of every day. The only time they're silent is when he is fighting, when he is killing.

Adopting the title of The Undying Enmity, he decided to make this new issue work for him as best he could, and began forging a new supervillain identity. He is constantly on the lookout for new technology or medical procedures that might allow him to remove his suit, or at least control the voices and master his own powers.
  7. Name: Grasp of the Undying

    Server: Virtue/City of Villains

Theme: Those who have somehow cheated death or overcome it. Starting as a union, building into a cult.

Webpage: None. I'm not good with website design.

    Contacts: @Suffusion, Undying Enmity

Usual Activities: Roleplay, missions, PvP events, cooperative events.

    Background & Structure:
This group was formed only recently by an assassin known as The Undying Enmity. While his story is that it's simply a conglomerate to focus power and oppose groups such as Arachnos or the Council, the truth is far darker.

Enmity is in fact a living conduit to the netherworld, albeit against his will. After numerous conflicts with the Circle of Thorns, he uncovered evidence of Circle rituals that mirrored the technology used to force his powers upon him, and settled on a plan of action: he would gather people of like experiences together into a close-knit group, and use their combined links to the nether to weave a sieve of sorts, allowing him to draw upon the netherworld's power without risking being overwhelmed by it.

Once his powers are stabilized, he will reveal the true face of the Grasp: it is an organization that will eventually draw all into its fold, slaying any who oppose them and resurrecting the worthy to serve them. After their world views have been sufficiently altered, of course.

The structure is simple: if a scrap of the netherworld clings to you and you show potential, you can rise high in the group, although only their leader can claim the title of The Undying. For those who show great potential but have no scars from the netherworld, they sometimes see a shadow out of the corner of their eye one night. When they wake up, they have that scrap of the netherworld, and Enmity has a new lieutenant.

    Admission notes/requirements:
While we enjoy our RP, sometimes we're not content to just sit around and talk; action must be taken! As long as you're alright with doing villainous missions and teaming up to assassinate some poor schlub, you should find a place in the Grasp.
