We are basically themeing the supergroup as a mixture of humans, mutants aliens and all other weird and wonderful creatures. the origin or character type is not important as we can accommodate all but one thing we would ask is that if possible (and again we could probably work round) you could have a back-story linking to some form of supernatural theme be it you are a demon or entity or you have came into contact with one so we could link it to our story (and give us a reason to hire you onto a paranormal investigation team).
Another sub theme we are looking to include if we gain enough members is a one special to one normal rule (think checkmate if anyone is a dc fan, one human to one metahuman black king and white king like on a chess board, or think batman and superman ) this is all dependant upon whether or not we get enough members (we're quite new you see) we do not expect players to continue the whole "agent of black arrow" thing all the time but we are looking for active participants in the RP of the supergroup preferably players would be teamed in twos red agents and blue agents (this is the normal and special rule) and preferably having a ranged played with a scrapper or a tank, or even a blaster with a defender/controller would work, so that we are gaining diversity within the role-playing.

Usual Activities:
at the moment we are pretty much just trying to find new members and get some level ups we are active participants in group missions and are still welcome to do so (this is the individual characters decision we will not force this), but really just helping lower level members get some good level ups and exploring mainly (no one wants to just stay in atlas park)

We do have a base already bought and setup for our theme so again Id like to include that a lot in the role playing as it is pretty much setup for the theme and would eventually like to setup mock RP missions as well.
Background & Structure:
Basically many many years ago a young warrior of a geetish clan (*otherwise know as the goth, goats or geets who lived in Sweden along with the Swedes) experienced a number of recurring nightmares where spawns of demons and unearthly creature rise up in the form of animals and sweep over the land wrecking and ruining everything in sight (*ref to the Hun whos tyrannous conquests ended at Sweden because the Swedes and gets finally allied and over threw them there is no definite evidence why they returned home so Ive used this) this terrified the young warrior so he found out an ancient wise man from across the seas (*druid) who advised him that these dreams where infact coming true and the only thing in the world was a divine power found at the end of the world.
The ancient Druid agreed to accompany the young warrior for fears that this would reach far and wide and become the end of existence but they would need help both from the will of man and the strength of what hides in the dark. With this information the young warrior was given and the trust in this foreign stranger he set about finding the strongest warriors he could find willing to help he travelled far and wide from the Germanic tribes forced across the rhyme to the Celts of the strangers homeland with this the druid strangers summoned fiery beasts from the underworld to aid in there quests demons only comprehendible to the ragnarok.
This army of man and monster stood side by side together to face the oncoming hordes and horrific battle entailed. Eventually the marauding hordes where forced back and the lands where saved the druid blessed many Black Arrow heads and gave them to each warrior still alive after the great battle this would link each other forever if either the human world or the demon world was ever in need of help them and there bloodlines would be called forward once more to stand side by side once again. The Druid turned to the young warrior and said to him for your bravery against all odds and for all you have done for man and demon alike I give you the greatest gift I can, I am old and will not live long in this life and have no children to bear my name so as my last dying request I bestow upon you all the powers that I have making you as strong as the strongest man and as powerful as the leaders of the underworld themselves use it wisely and as you have done so today and will do for eternity keep the warriors of the Black Arrow together, fighting strong and for the good of man and demon kind alike. With that the druid disappeared and bolts of what looked like lightning flew from the ground into the warrior from all over he became taller broader stronger he could hear tales of ancient knowledge in his head and the power of the underworld flowing through his fingers, his head began to grow horns and he grew a tail he resembled not man nor quite monster he turned to the sky and screamed I am Sentor, Founder and Guardian of the black Arrow.
As Promised every time the world has needed the aid of man and demon Sentor has rallied the armies through every generation there has been warriors of the Black Arrow living among us and constantly on guard protecting the worlds we know.

Usual Activities:The Fourth Wall is more a concept than a supergroup, and therefore is mainly a meet and greet area for likeminded roleplayers away from the Pocket D. This is a great supergroup for people who are just learning their way around the RP community and would like a place to meet others who enjoy rp, as well as giving them access to storage facilities and invention machines if necessary.
Other Activities:The Fourth Wall opens its doors to other roleplaying Supergroups by offering coalition "memberships" to the club. This entitles SGs to visit the Fourth Wall and interact with one another in a space other than their own bases, thus doing away with the rather difficult grouping issues.
Background & Structure:Fourth Wall is privately owned technomagical club that is targeted for metahumans and people interested in the hero culture in Paragon City. There is no hard requirements for membership, but recommendation from a current member is preferred.
The idea and concept for the club comes from @Blackdove aka Wild Thyme who has also designed the interior (with the kind help of Doctor Temporis). The club was originally managed, IC and OOC, by @Coile aka Stratocaster, but this has now changed hands and is now managed by @LoupGarou, aka Jean-Luc Santeres.

To become a member an applicant has to agree to these rules.
1. You are free to enter the premises at any given time unless the club has been closed down for maintenance.
2. You may bring guests with you but you are responsible for their actions in the premises during their stay. Guests have to be aware of the rule and agree to abide by them.
3. If you are asked to leave by a member of the staff do so immediately and without quarrel.
4. The management reserves the right to terminate any membership at any time if they deem it necessary. Probations are also possible.
5. If you get a drink while no service staff is around place your glass on the bar counter for billing purposes. Your tab will be deducted from your account at the end of each month. Hosts are responsible for beverages of their guests.
6. Take fights outside. While Fourth Wall does not employ such means as Pocket D does it is strongly wished that no fights occur inside the club. Breach of this no violence policy may result in a ban from the club, pending management review of the case.
7. Maintain general order. People come to the club to relax from the hassle outside. Respect that.
The OOC details:
Stored Enhancements, storage items, and the use of the crafting tables and vaults are open to members of the Fourth Wall, but please use need before greed. Only take what you'll use, not merely because you "need" the influence you'll get by selling them.
The Fourth Wall is not a typical supergroup in that we don't organise hunts or function in a hero capacity. It is primarily a social outlet, allowing players a way to get to know the other supergroups and get a foot in the door. This means members are not locked into obligations with the Fourth Wall and can interact and hunt with whomever they please, allowing for a greater amount of flexibility in playstyles. However, if a member happens to find a supergroup they'd like to join due to their Fourth Wall interactions, members are welcome to join up or leave at any time if they should so choose. Being a member of Fourth Wall means it's easier for you to bring friends in via a group if you'd like to have a rp session in a quiet space.
Holding gigs, meetings, or special events in the Fourth are greatly encouraged. Just seek me out ingame or on the forums and we'll arrange what we can for you.
Primarily, the Fourth Wall is about provided a tool-free space to rp and interact with others. It's merely a stage, and as a result everyone gets out of it what they put into it.

Theme: A magic-based supergroup for the recovery of magic artifacts (think Indiana Jones meets Witches)

Usual Activities: This is primarily a concept rp group, which I forsee getting together maybe once a week, so this is good for alts or for people who want a more casual roleplaying experience. This supergroup however is primarily about roleplaying, not levelling quickly - I may seek someone to assist with mission running and other responsibilities.
Other Activies: There will be some story arcs which will involve missions and taking on various groups, and we're welcome to also coming head to head with various villain supergroups with some PvP fights in the arena for the right to secure various artifacts.
Admission Notes/Requirments: This supergroup allows only magic-based heroes in its ranks, and such heroes must have an IC-implied endorsement from M.A.G.I as S.O.A.R is underground and secretive. The members of S.O.A.R have sworn a vow of secrecy about the group (never tell anyone about Fight Club). Members must pass a trial before admitted, and are expected to not only participate in events but also form their own arcs and stories; this isn't a group for people who just want to sit back and let other people do the work.

Usual Activities: This is a fresh new Super group and doesnt have many members yet but is Open to anyone who likes to join and have a fun RP, but Activity wise it depends on what we feel like doing which can vary to just hang out in the Base, do some missions and have fun and PVPing.
Other Activities: Because this is a new base and is not implanted yet but plans are to make a OOC room in the Base to talk regularly and discuss other things besides game related stuff.
Background & Structure:
5 years ago the Rikti invaded earth and butchered almost whole of Paragon City and all of the Heroes and Villains joined forces to defend their home planet and many people suffered or died during the war , it was a hopeless sight and Rikti forces kept coming out of nowhere re-enforcing their other Rikti Teams.
While the war raged on some of the super humans tried joining the fighting hero teams and willing to participate in the war , they wanted to make a difference too , only if it was only a little bit.
But the heroes and villains refused seeing super humans were not strong enough or were just too young to fight amongst them.
The young warriors felt rejected and had to watch from the ground how the heroes were fighting the Rikti, the only thing they could do was watching.
Now a couple of years later the war was over , and the cities were calm for the moment many heroes went into retirement or hang up their capes and continues having a normal life and made a family.
But how ever no major threats were present there were still normal criminal activities , just a bit too much for the police to handle and it went out of hand from there on , there were too few corpses to maintain the criminal scene.
Until one day one person created a team, a team for young warriors and rejected heroes.
His goal? Forming a team where anyone can feel needed and at ease without having to worry about feeling left out and abandoned.
That man is Dark Sarcasm who is currently traveling and looking for new and young warriors who arent in any team due certain circumstances.

The only requirement you have to meet is to have fun and be friendly to the other team members, if they need help , Help. Thats what this team is all about!

Theme: Arachnos Loyal Black Operations Unit, Loyalty To Arachnos First and foremost, Then too Commanding Officers.

Admission Notes/Requirements: the only definate requirement is that the Character is young (teen/pre-teen) Mutants are prefered, though not 100% essential. Also accepting up to 5 higher ranked (must be mutant origin) Characters as tutors (I need a hand here, still new and need mor knowledgable peeps to help me get this SG off the ground.)
Then it's time for them to get off the cross, use the wood to build a bridge, and get over it.

Theme: A small group of villains employed by the mysterious Mr Mason who frequently tasks them to complete errands for him. The feel is a low-key, mainly empowered criminals who are used to the underground so uber-powerful space aliens from Dimension X may not fit too well.

Usual Activities: Mainly in-game missions, RP as well as forum RP and discussion. Some IC PvP opposing Hero groups is planned.
Other Activities: Early days so far but some SFs will occur in the future plus hopefully some plots that will bring us into conflict with the do-gooders.
Background & Structure: No-one knows much about Mr Mason, who he is or where he can be found. But he is well informed, resourceful and appears to have a wealth of lawyers at his disposal. In order to secure his interests in the Etoile Isles, he brought together a group of criminals by incentive and blackmail to serve him and act as his hand within the Isles. Robberies, Assassinations, Kidnappings, nothing is above The Cadre as long as it serves Masons interests. Each member, whether they serve willingly or under duress, is capable of acting independently and have been charged with making The Cadre a name to be feared. The team is led by mercenary turned Arachnos double-agent Nadja Romanov and militant Mutant rights activist Third Degree Byrne. Although they are ostensibly in charge even they are often unprepared for what they are ordered to do by Masons suited lackeys.
The group operate a base beneath the newly opened strip club The Devils Candy in Port Oakes. The club, situated in the meat packing district, serves as a front for the Cadres activities as well as providing a place to relax. Admission Notes/Requirements: Enthusiasm, participation and the desire to be evil. Were immersionist roleplayers so our characters have lives outside of when we meet up and our actions will have consequences. Although the Cadre are undoubtably evil, theres no need to go growling at heroes in Pocket D for no good reason. Applicants should contact the group leaders and be prepared for a trial period before full membership is granted.

Dear Mods,
Could you please clean up this thread and remove all posts that are not listings of supergroups.
Could you also check with the contacts to see if they still exist as the web pages that are listed for some SG's don't exist or don't contain anything.
It doesn't seem that there are too many RP SG's. Are there more that just aren't listed ?

Group Name: Midnight Patrol
Server/Game: Union/City of Heroes
Theme: Basically we're an offshoot of the midnighters themselves, a magic based group that see to the midnighters day to day patroling.

Usual Activities: This would include missions and Task forces relating to our plot lines, also helping eachother out when we need it and basically making sure the group is enjoyable for everyone in it.

Background & Structure: The roup is a small division of Midnighters, working to assist the Midnight Squad in various pursuits across paragon. The groups main enemies are those of magic origins and the Rikti. The group was formed by Spell Shield and Ms Phantom (also the Super groups secretary) in order for the Midnight Squad to get a better foot hold on the streets of paragon and to have active members out and fighting for them.
Admission Notes/Requirements:
The group has a predominant magic theme to it, so mainly Magic based characters are welcome, we may make exceptions to this for some characters but as of yet it is unknown whether or not this will infact happen.
We are trying to keep the group to a small controlable number and on Phantoms request to make it like one of the main line Super groups, who do not normally exceed ten members. Admission to the group will be done by an IC interview, usually held within the midnighter's club. The Krimzon Guard, or KG as it is sometimes known, is a recently formed Regiment within Arachnos, under the command of hte Krimzon Commander, an upcoming Lieutenant Commander in the Crab Spiders. The Krimzon Guard had a previous incarnation, under the Council, where it worked in Russia and then the US, so there may be some who remember the name. The new KG is different in one distinct way from other Arachnos regiments; The Commander will have nothing to do with bribery or corruption, and sees it as the duty of him and his troops to Protect and Serve the citizens of the Rogue Isles. This will be achieved by pushing back the so called 'super humans' that cannot co-exist with humanity, and the vigilantes such as Longbow and Wyvern.
Admission Notes/Requirements: Potential Operatives must be soldiers or else useful in someway to a military unit. Potentials will have to have a one to one interview with the Commander. He also has no patience with lax discipline or those who have no regard for humanity. (I want to keep the Guard on a specific path, so no 'take over the world' types, as that doesnt fit.)

Originally a division of the US Army specialising in superhuman threats, R.A.P.I.E.R found itself cut off from all funding after the death of one of its two directors, Pious Michael Hunter. Now under the control and funding of Longstaff WarTech, Director Irene Trenz has her sights set on wiping out the Rikti threat to our world.
R.A.P.I.E.R is divided into four squads: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta, each categorised according to the combat standards of its members, and deployed to match the mission threat levels. Longstaff WarTech is an equal opportunities employer, and will consider all applicatants regardless of race, gender, powers or their origins.

Theme: A privately funded group, using state of the art technology, basicly a hub Group made for the communication and aid for all Heroes worldwide. Funded by Sean O'Brain, Owner and founder of O'BrainTech Industries.

Structure is still to be fully made, however it would be based on the freeness and vote, with a council of leaders making the big choices once everyone has had their say.

Background & Structure: Ranks are attributed based on rp development and IC events. There are 3 leaders and the structer is beeing rebuilt now since the Ghosts had been inactive for a good while.
Admission Notes/Requirements: You have to be heavilly on RP, be available to invest your play time mainly in RP and get involved with the current plots or design your own to get the members involved. We prefer Main characters, but will acept active alts.
