Somewhere in Paragon, in a cafe, the New Heroes Union meets to discuss events.
(( SG meeting thursday, 20:00 /servertime ))
(( Edit: Meeting now concluded. )) -
I would like to at least think I, Fire Singer or Verto would be available to look into this project from the New Heroes Union side of things. Mains with the same name as the globals.
For myself, I know I sadly seldom log on here, but ingame messages should work well. -
Group Name: New Heroes Union
Server/Game: Union / Heroes
Theme: RP supergroup, covering everything from the mundane to the Epic. Motto: "Breaking Reality for Great Justice!"
Webpage: http://z8.invisionfree.com/Real_Heroes_Union/
Contacts: Hana Li, Fire Singer, Verto
Usual Activities: SG chat is considered to be said in-character over the wrist communicators unless otherwise stated. Members expected to stay mostly in-character, unless otherwise specified. (Large teams with a lot of non-rp'ers, for example)
Player housing available for permanent members on first and second floor. An outdated map would would be: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r191/EmV8/NHUmap.jpg
Other Activities: The boards have an OOC part for diverse, and an IC part. When possible, we try to say things in character. For example, this post about Promotions a while back:
"If I should make any suggestions for promotions - veteran and beyond - I would suggest keeping an eye out for chances to knit the society of the New Heroes Union more together as a whole.
The ways are myriad. Anything from socialising, writing or organizing on our forums, or perhaps leading small groups on happenings if that is your style. My recommendation would be to see what path you most enjoy - Then stay true to that path.
I do apologize if theese paths to promotions have been unclear. The key is personal integrity, and will to make the society happen. The rest follows.
Hana Li"
Background & Structure: All recruits start off as Sidekicks, which is a "Trial membership" of sorts. Once one sees it works out on all sides, one is usually promoted to "Hero". From there it goes to Veteran, if one is active on the boards, generally roleplays well, and is active in the society. Note that we try to be a society, not a random group - As such, communication between members becomes key. No communication, no society. Some Veterans allso have the privileges of building or interior design - Making them Veterans with Architect privileges. The Mentors try to assist where and when needed, not to mention keeping the group on interesting paths.
Admission Notes/Requirements:
"Any member of the supergroup that has been awarded "Veteran" rank or above, is expected to use the recruitment powers granted by that position, when it feels appropriate.
If your rank is Veteran or above, we expect your instincts on who to recruit, where and why, to be generally good. However, for the more logically oriented, here is a condensed checklist I have prepared for such occasions:
* Officially sanctioned Paragon City Hero, at least security level 1?
* Is the prospective member an interesting entity to be around?
* Does the recruit agree to contribute to the supergroup?
If a Hero possesses theese qualities, and you feel that Hero might fit in: Then by all means, recruit."
((
PS: Meetings with possible recruits are held in character, as that quickly removes from consideration those who simply cannot comprehend the difference between IC and OOC. ))
PPS: This has been reposted, from page four on this thread, as contact details have changed.
PPPS: The place has actually expanded a bit since the original post, with a Hangar, Hospital, Ritual Room, Alchemy Lab, Administration, Sports Hall and some other details added on, as follows: SE, SW, NE, NW, Second Floor.

Question is: What group would be best for proper beds? Carnival of Shadows at 250 missions?
-
Base interior decoration badge ideas:
Badge for:
Pool table (100 missions in sg mode vs. the family)
(Graphics for this and a LOT of other things allready is in game, but not in base designer)
Carpets (500 missions against the Carnival of Shadows)
Oriental pillows (100 missions against the Carnival of Shadows)
Lowtech training equipment (100 warrior missions)
Hitech training equipment (100 council missions)
Water in base (5 times successfull in the sewer trial)
...etc, etc, etc. All theese items are allready in game, just not in the base creator. Making badges for them might be an interesting way to introduce them? -

That would be Very nice indeed, Empath

The whole point of a base should in theory be to have somewhere to meet, somewhere to call "Home Base". The problem is that inviting people along into base (by leading a group), only works if the ones you invite are not in a supergroup. If they are in a supergroup, that is not in your coalition, they are allways instantly kicked from your base a moment after appearing in the entrance room.
THIS IS A PROBLEM.
Typical things it stops: Inviting someone along for tea in the kitchen, martial arts competition in the Dojo, decrypting things in the computer room, private talks in the gardens. (Yes, we have those things in the New Heroes Union, but kind of hard to use properly with the current base bug.) -
...on a technicality, a tank. Semi-tank. Tank light.
If I made a tank with no defenses whatsoever, no auras, no way to get aggro from more than one target at a time (punch punch punch - Whohoo! I'm a damage dealer! Fear me!) - Yes, technically it is something tank-ish.
It would allso be a disgrace to the real tanks out there. False advertising, I belive the term is?
