Just because it's a PvP zone and you can faceplant toons, doesn't mean you have to. To be sure, the climate being what it is, you'll probably not get much kudos for being merciful, but if you don't give any mercy now and then, you certainly can't expect the same from your opponents.
The only real selling point I can see is that giving a PvP opponent a stay of execution means that you don't have to wait for 'em to zip all the way back from base - you can continue having a scrap in a minute rather than five.
I realise that I'm hearkening back to the old days when fights in most computer games were decided in three rounds rather than one. But in my opinion there was nothing quite like being one round down to encourage you to up your game and try new tactics.

Next time I'm in a mission I'm gonna use the same logic:
"Hey just because I can heal doesnt mean I have to"

So if somone chooses to attack another player inside a Player Vs Player zone, according to you `they` are in the wrong and are judged "a bad person"? I dont think so.

Its akin to the right to use a Public Right Of Way through the middle of a Farmers field. You have the legal right to do this and trample the Farmers crops, but its a reprehensible act non the less. Or perhaps the Smokers somewhat incomprehensible idea that because he has the right to smoke in a resturant and pollute the lungs of other people, he therefor should.

New PvP Zone - Recluse's Victory
A new high level PvP zone, set in an alternate version of Atlas Park and open to players of Level 40+.
Im afraid it is `just` a PvP zone.
It has been said over and over and over again by PvP'ers and non-PvP'ers alike, and even the Mods, that PvP zones are for PvP, if you DO NOT agree with that, then you should not enter one! But sadly, some people still just do not get it.

Anyone who turns around and says that it also has PvE sides, that can be said about any of the other zones. There are mobs to be defeated and missions to take part in. All the zones have their own specific aspects of PvE put with the PvP zone.
I had a point when I started this post, it was to agree with Blizz's post, and I think I've done that, however, it's late, and I can't think of anything else to type 
PvP is a lot better without PvE. Heavies in RV are simply mega-damage bots and actually promote ganking as it's the only real way to take them out.

Whenever I see letters PvE in this thread I get a coughing fit. Anyway I have mixed feelings about heavies and I'd like to know what exactly have devs said about their purpose. Obviously they allow any single player to solo the turrets and gring xp/inf/prestige/so on.
I don't like their effect on actual PvP, I think they are detrimental to it.

I like having the zones set up as a sort of head to head mini game, heavies might be a bit too erm....heavy though.
My MA IDs:
Fiend Space: 211464
the heavies are [censored] imo, there are 3 of them per side and the "balance" of them being slow but mega power is ofset by any kinetic. As a concept and in practice i think they suck and should be removed from the zone, as a counter the turrets dont ahve to be lvl 54 bosses.

I think the heavies are fine - ubt what they really need to do is find some way to make the capturing of pillboxes require PvP - like neutral boxes are "dead", with no turrets, and only capturing boxes that are held by the other side count towards resetting the zone.

In that case they shouldnt do a big deal of dmg to players, and only to turrets. And turrets shouldn't give any xp either
Maybe the heavies could be armed only with some kind of electro-magnetic weapons, designed to cripple defense systems, but leave people unharmed?

To me it seems that the only way to end the arguements about PvP is to:
1. Remove all XP from the PvP zones, including the zone missions.
2. Remove all debt from the PvP zones, including the zone missions.
3. Remove all badges from the PvP zones, except for the PvP Rep one.
4. Remove the Shivans, Nukes and spiderbots.
5. Make complaining about being killed while duelling/RPing or whatever a petitionable offence.
Other than that I doubt it will ever stop... 
It'd have to be team PvP there then, as the turrets are too tough for a lot of ATs to solo.
