The Worst Day In Sirens Call?

I'm going there tonight, as soon as I finish work - I've been prowling round there for the past 2 nights, and not seen a single Villian, but this sounds more hopeful..

I'd say that all of those barring the kill stealing are viable tactics. People will always use what works and can hardly be expected to start using other powers less useful than others just because too many people are using X power.
The crap on broadcast was one of the reasons i stopped playing in Sirens. Warberg IMO has a much better atmosphere these days which could be accounted by the good/friendly players having naturally progressed there. Not that there aren't a few idiots who will grief anything they dont agree with but on a whole a much better place than Sirens now.
On an evening its normally great.
You get the same bunch of quality PvP players. TG, TYL etc.
But I am being put off by day time PvP...

I used to spend pretty much all of my playing time in Sirens and yeah it was people like TG, Poss, Botty etc that made it worthwhile. Perhaps i just go at the wrong times now, prolly because i play mainly on Union nowadays as i've no slots left on Defiant.

Sirens seemed a bit diffrent to me today. It was always busy with some new players which is great. But there was a bit of underlying agressiveness about the place. Now of course its a PvP zone so you know people die. But everyone just seemed to be taking it a bit too seriusly.

Before u came the number was 7 heros in one team vs 13 villains and i not remember villains being less than heroes.In fact when numbers started decrease we left.

I am sorry but thats not really accurate.Let me present you the villains tactics. 2 stalkers with claws perma hitting me .End of story.So thats tactics? We came with a varied team with defender blaster scrapper controller and did our best with buffs debuffs etc and repeatedly killed all till out team started break out so reasonably we died. You cant really say about tactics when there is a swarm of stalkers mashing AS on someone.

The truth is there is no kill stealing in sirens.Is a clearly distinct zone of heroes vs villains and all goes

After holding my tongue allday I did get a bit stressed towards the end. If I had any sense I would have left the zone, but the others were dormant so I stuck on.
I may have just been having a bad day, but I think things got a bit over competative.

I think the stalker that kept hitting me repeatedly with claws has an issue cause he has been owned too much in pvp from our teams.

Must be something in the water then... encountered the first person I've ever had to put on ignore (even if it was only for 5 mins) in Union's SC.
Took a break, went to Bloody Bay with an SG member who just hit 15 (got owned, as don't have placate pre 25...), but the whole attitude in there was nice and relaxed and generally friendly.
Ah well, will be nice Sirens again tomorrow I hope.

TK, Replusion ond KB can do the same; and a Drone one=shots anyone..

EA Brute powerset has Entropy shield, which provides some defense against TP Foe, (I think some of the other defensive sets may have similar in their mez protection toggle...)

I have recently got really into PvP with my blapper and have been there every day for about 2 weeks : )
The atmosphere has been great there so I couldnt disagree with you more. Me and Kimano (?) have great fun even tho the bugger AS's me on an almost 2 minutely basis.
The problem that you had in there today was, ironically, one of your own making. Why? Because you, like the majority of villains in there, are a stalker!
Because you and your kind can pretty much kill us guys with one or two hits it forces us into teams, it forces us to cooperate and it forces us to bunch together. The reality is, if I dont stay close to a troller with an AoE on the go (God bless em), as soon as I go toe to toe with a villain, I get 1 hitted by a player that I have absolutely no way of avoiding or even detecting.
There were actually a similar number of villains to heroes (I think we did begin to outnumber y'all when I logged) but we had to bunch together to survive and you guys threw yourselves at us in 2 or 3 at a time and were defeated.
As for ganking? The villains were setting up the old tp foe/spam hold/ 5 gank poor hero on his own. We stood in numbers and you came at us.
At the end people were complaining about your "whining" because everytime you died you cried foul play. I got tp foed/spam held/ganked several times but I didnt complain...I just set out for revenge! Apart from that there was lots of playful talk on broadcast between friendly adversaries who see each other in there (and kill each other) every day.
You know the funny thing? You get better rep when the odds are stacked against you! And when you die? There is no penalty!!! My rep ALWAYS shoots up far faster when the odds are against me. There is nothing worse when there are a bunch of heroes camped in front of your base scaring anyone from even playing.
You also should remember that when you can kill people with 1 hit (as a stalker) you are never gonna get any sympathy! : P
Hope today didnt put you off and hope to see you in there again in the future....and within sniping range

There's some that would say that; but you need to be in close range of a Orange group of mobs or a Same-Side Drone to use it 'effectively'. It also doesn't work in water.
Oh and expect a LOT of abuse thrown at you if you do get it to work.
It was very different today and I am sure I contributed to it, I entered the zone which was pretty spartan of heroes and a friend swapped sides to join me, no sooner than he had logged in than he was TPd out of base and ganked. This in itself put my back up and then they tried to tp me. I advised them not to do this or I would form a team they wouldnt like. Hospital TPing continued so I swapped to my warshade and droned anyone within range. I am sure those who know me will affirm my total dislike of base TPing and droning so for me to get the red mist up to the extent where i myself indulge in this practice is not regular occurance to say the least.
So I rpoceeded to keep the hospial area clear till my "squad" arrived when i got onto my controller and we pretty much laid waste to the land, it wasnt fun and I didnt enjoy it, someone was acting like a jerk and I projected my "annoyance" onto others.
Its a shame because it should ahve been a great day with lots of people in there and it actually boils down to one jerk base tping and snowballing from there as far as I can see.
I was certainly in much more of a "seek and destoy" mode then usual and apologised to many in game for my less than laid back attitude today.

Its sad to hear that . Was in Siren's and BB today testing my new Psi defender (union). Had a couple of punch ups in BB vs a corrupter and stalker (I was a lil cheeky but I think it was all good natured) and then a few more in SC.
Quite a bit of TPing in SC but hay ho its in the game and I dont think ppl were trying to give debt or TP to drones (think if they had a defender hovering over trying out his snipe would have been the 1st target 
).
All in al plenty of good humoured chit chat and loads of fun......
Least I hope it was for others as well.

I'm a flying scrapper - I leave the hiding and tp-ing to the bed-wetting contoller/defender types

I'm a flying scrapper - I leave the hiding and tp-ing to the bed-wetting contoller/defender types

Whilst it can't be used with AS, thank god, it can be used in conjunction with Knockout Blow, Total Focus and all your other little heavy hit/heavy hold blows, so don't feel too safe....
Remember, it's almost unresistable and puts you toe to toe with Mr. Brute...

She loves Sirens, and usually has a lot of fun in there, but there was one individual who clearly wasn't able to distinguish between acceptable banter and hurtful comments. Several people asked them to stop, but alas not to be.
She went back in later and had a bit of fun there, but I'm sticking to my theory, that the wretched Easter Bunny succeeded in his quest to debuff villain and hero moods
