Excuse me for expressing an opinion. I was working under the impression that was part of the reason forums existed. I was also working under the assumption that part of the reason this thread popped into existence was to rant at ppl who didn't think they should be jumped up repeatedly the moment they stepped off the boat.

Now I'm not being perdantic here, but I honestly don't understand what you are saying. Does 'jumped up' mean jumped upon within the zone itself? Or 'jumped up' as reacting badly or being annoyed with an incident?
Not quite sure why you think I have a problem, and my former points still stand. If you need to cool off then fine, I'll walk away. No point in making this issue personal to either of us, I was merely pointing out that it was your view that was being imposed upon others because of the context you view villians Vs heroes and hence how you view other (or particular) 'hero' players.
I'll say Ta Ta anyways, we'll wait and see how long the PvP zones remain populated. If the populations are still large in a few months time then its been a success (and hats off to Cryptic & crew). If they aren't, you've proved your point.

Sorry, that should have been "jumped on" rather than "jumped up". I'm not trying to impose my view on other players but rather point out that the zone doesn't "belong" to anyone, and certainly not the big team of toons all respecced purely for PvP.
However, having had the discussion with the likes of Tainted Greek it seems that his team at least seems to occupy the beach area and if they're on then that's a no-go area and that's actually fine. I respect that and doff my cap to him
But I've had a think and think I know the root cause of my problem. It's this, I've created a Nemesis for a friend of mine and am in the process of writing the back story for it and the plan, for some future point is to meet face to face in Warburg and have at it. Just the two of us as all "classic" hero/villains are, 1 on 1.
Even Bridger came on suggesting you shouldn't go in unless on a team, so here's an aspect that seemed to be closed.
So it's not a matter of me demanding things of other players, it's players preventing other players from having duels.
Use the arena? Can Heroes and Villains meet in the arena?

That's kinda why I started my Roleplaying and PvP thread, as this is something a lot of RPers are going to want to do (me and at least one other definately, their nemesis are birthed tonight!)
Best bet, both of you get into the zone, and send a broadcast out asking to be left alone, looks like quite a few folks might even offer to do a bit of guard duty for you

if u had said from start this i would have simply told u what i said to FFM on his thread...shout out in broadcast and ask for some help or look me personally up and i ll even try pop up and help guard while u RP with your friend 1vs1...i get the rep for killing people try gank u and u get quiet 
is a 2 way gain situation.i have said before although i am no RPer i massively respect RP community cause even though the devs not always provide the best for them they always find ways to overcome problems and enjoy the game in their own way...plus 90% of the stories i massivley enjoy readin come from the RP community people with talent and creativity like Wordy,Ravenswing,Doulos and all the rest whose names i now miss. So if u need any help on that i would be glad to help despite my team owning the beach

I have respec'd my 2 lvl 50's for PvP and although I still need to sort my tactics and my Fire/Ice tank needs a team I am loving it.
Last night I switched between characters and although my bubbler might be the better PvPer normally in my control at the mo he isnt so I ended up using my tank. Whilst solo my tank didnt stand a chance and either I was killed or it was stalemate as with end probs I couldnt keep up my holds/attacks long enough to kill.
Once I got into a team though things changed and for a while we owned the beach and one of the other PvPers claimed the tables had turned and it wasn't as much fun suddently ;P He and his team where still good sports and changed their tactics a little.
All in all LOADS of fun!
I'd like to thank the dev's for this oportunity to PvP and fellow gamers for the fun in the PvP areas.
I'd also like to thank Cherry Fusion for advice on PvP build for my bubbler and Seri for advice for my tank.

Maybe I was suffering from culture shock - after however many months of heroes helping each other to suddenly see them going at each with animalist visciousness was like being slapped in the face.
I hear Sirens call is hero versus villain mass battles which sounds more to my liking - sadly it'll have to wait until I respec AGAIN and do it properly so I have a proper build no matter what level I'm exempted to.
I didn't know heroes and villains could meet in the arena. I guess there's on in one of the PvP zones?

Personally i think its more to do with Honour, i would never just attack without some good old-fashioned challenging and taunting trashtalk before honourable combat commences!, but you'd be surprised how many people just dont get the spirit of the game! and are more interested in racking up rep points... Where in any film or comic do Nemesis' square off against each other without grudging respect and a bit of witty banter!
If the guy fought dirty, stand over him angrily and gloat/take the mickey out of him - If he put up a brave fight i like to applaud him or salute his efforts....
All adds to the Immersion in the gameworld me thinks!

Here is a novel idea, hows about you make a blaster, i make a spines/regen scrapper, then we go toe to toe?
I like the PVP zones a lot, I mostly know the people in there but we are all human and want to win and will get annoyed from time to time, its just nature I dont take it (too) seriously but I do enjoy it. My new sport is seeing how many people I can 1 shot (as my brute) on the steps of the villain base

My only complaint isn't so much about pvp in general.... but about the mission system.
Why oh why are we forced to go to pvp areas for missions? Some of us don't want to pvp at all (I can't stand it cos Ganking in general is one pf my pet peeves... and until there are more lvl 50 villains, Heroes will always beat).
I went to Bloody Bay the other night as I was sent there for a mission.... I get on my way through the area, and I got totally gangbanged.
All I ask is to keep missions out of pvp areas (unless they are started by a contact within a pvp area). That way, those of us that aren't interested in pvp at all can steer clear.

Now that the 'introductory' missions for each PvP zone send you to a contact standing just outside the zone entrance, you should never be sent to a PvP zone for a mission without it being made abundantly clear that this is a PvP mission before you decide to take it. (In fact, at present, I don't think any mission gained outside a PvP zone should send you into one).
What mission did you get, and what contact was it from?

tbh I can't remember which contact it was - I was around lvl 16 the first time, and I was sent to Bloody Bay... I did manage to zip to the mission area and zip out again without being seen, which was lucky.
I've got a mission at the moment that I'm dubious to take as its sending me to the correspondant by the chopper in sharkhead (the one that advises of pvp gameplay etc)... and I think that mish came from Mickey the Filch, but I could be mistaken.
I'm ignoring it at present, but I know I'll get to a point where all 3 of my mission slots are taken up by forays into pvp areas... and I'm not one for pvp myself.
What would be ideal is if missions spawned outside a pvp area would not force you into a pvp area... and then missions spawned in Bloody Bay, Sirens, Warbug etc would keep you in that area... is that whats supposed to happen at present?
Or is the mission I have at the moment literlally just to talk to this poerson - I don't have to go to the pvp area if I don't want to??

Yes, that's what bridger was explaining. The mission takes you to a Longbow Liaison Officer, who tells you what kind of PvP Zone you could enter, then tells you who to go see in the zone if you want missions inside the zone.

listen Fyr no matter what go on in arena or any PvP zone i would still go out of my way and help u respec anytime...all the trashtalk and fights inside an arena or PvP zone stays there when i exit the zone for me at least.I am a big PvP fun and i enjoy what i do to do it good but still when i leave the PvP zone i am still same TG u knew.Just because there is a PvP zone introduced dont mean people changed in a night...We just enjoy getting in touch with our dark side when we PvP...thats for me at least.
Like i said the only reason u might have been multi targetted is purely because u pack lots of damage which means i can easily go down from a combo u might throw..is only natural
