Cool, I will do . I spent my time dazed staggering around Warburg thinking "[censored] is going on", then I realised that getting defeated over & over doesn't count for [censored], because I'll never be PVP'ing enough to rack up enough reputation - the bit I got off my first visit is already gone & "forgotten", & people who beat me up don't get anymore for just sticking to beating me up, so that leaves just taking it on the chin & having a laugh.
Plus I'm stuck for what to change to make my build a bit more PVP'able. May as well learn the hard way by running against a full build & see if I can work some things out as I go. Lots of bumps & bruise on the way I guess, better bring a spatula with me .

Point taken about the zones becoming less populated but as we have seen with Bloody Bay, the population has increased. We just need to wait and see what happens with Warburg. You should too, time always overrules assumptions.

Vextrek (spelling incorrect I know), Atari console when I lived in a Boarding house and ppl had to que up for their turn, had a Spectrum 48K there as well (track and field, woot!). I've played a lot of games on a lot of different machines as have prob quite a number of ppl on these boards already, so I fail to understand the point you are attempting to make Are you saying you know more than most here about games? Could your ego BE any bigger? Seriously, go to Icon and scale your head as large is it will go to match your persona! Once or twice in Bloody Bay I heard people in local chat saying what an egotistical t w a t you were tonight (thier words not mine).

On the one or two rare occasions that you haven't been surrounded by one or even two teams guarding your a s s I have taken you down, and thats as a blaster with a gimped I5 build, not respecced or even changed any slotting yet.

I have seen and spoken to several people over the last few days, who have said they wont bother to go to Warburg as its very boring to be lept apon every time they try to have a bit of fun there. Not everyone WANTS to be in a team, some like solo play, for gods sake the devs are trying thier hardest to force us into teams for PvE, we dont all want to be forced into teams just to enter a damn zone!

I enjoy a bit of PvP being a Quake/Unreal/MoH player, but when I'm in a 1 on 1 thats got bugger all to do with you and your cronies, and then I'm tped away, held and twatted every 30 seconds it gets very very dull, amusing for you I'm sure (small things...) but dull for me and everyone else you do it to.

So please, for the love of all things caped... Step away from the computer! Dont screw Warburg up before its had a chance to bloody well get going, because you are you know, it'll just be you and your men in tights on the beach before long, everyone else will avoid it like Michael Barrymoores swimming pool.

Oh, and while I'm ranting... I effin HATE "1337" speak. pwn (you dont even pwn the game mate), n00b, roxxors!!!on!!, all that [censored], bastardization of the English language. If this makes me sound old its probably cause I am, relatively speaking, which is probably why this whole issue has got up my nose, can't stand immaturity. Oh, bypassed the ZX80/81 btw, had an Atari 2600 (woodie) then my 1st proper computer was a TI/99.

First of all there was PD's team all night there killing people.I step in and u say about me?lol u must have been really bitter for killing u too much the last few days.
apparently u are mistaking ego with some friendly pvp trashtalk.Most of the people we have had pvp clashes we had some pvp trashtalk which is usual either when i lost or won...Plight and Imaginary know this well as well as most the people i had arena matches with...so dont mistake ego with the tactic of stirring up things to get pvp rolling a bit more...I never said i am the best but i try do best what i get involved in and that i am proud off indeed.I have had really nice fights which i lost such as with MArius or Imaginary or plight and some close calls with Sechs....still i can claim i did my best and went down fighting and not running to any safe zones.

what are u talking about lol....u must have taken me down apparently on a battle that too many people around and u dont want me remind u that i easily got u cornered and let u there struggling to get out and firing continuous misses...so dont dream things that not happen. As for my team i am proud off cause they do what they are supposed to do perfect and we play as a team and noone can deny that...so if u got something to say pop in tomorrow with a team and lets see what u have to say.

this is not quite the case as i remember u were in a team the other day trying to take us down permanently so dont play victim here.U only got [censored] from the amount of kills u received but i am not gonna let me or my teammates die from a ranged attacker just because we killed u too many times...i not recall attacking while u were going by but as your team was trying to take us down so stop the moaning.

Usually a combo of 6-8 never 2 teams so stop saying things out of your head again...

When i am outside a PvP zone i go out of my way to help anyone in need and have good fun and chats with people i might have killed in a PvP zone....still once i enter Warburg its a fight fight fight situation cause thats what it was designed for and not sightseeing and conversation while having milk and cookies.

Many people seem to think that it is not fair to get killed by 8 man team when they only wan't to play solo or in small teams. It's ok I just wan't to point out couple of things. What about the people who want to play in big teams? I really enjoy playing in full team with our regular lot. Well oiled killing machine where everyone knows their powers and place in the team.

Guarding TG? I dont know about that. We all guard eachothers. TGs hurricane and steamy mist just makes a ideal place to hide or wait an assault. We don't jump around bacause we know what happens to solo players.. hehe. Should we disband our team so that you could have fun? What would happen to our fun? Theres no right or wrong here I think.

What do you say if we stop jumping from the safe zone to kill only eachothers (proven to be very easy) and go to the arena and find out whos da man if you wish. If I lose I will bow down before your mighty flames of doom and start thinking of better tactics and if you lose... well I dont know what you will do

That's a pretty important point. If I'm in a team and we spot a scrapper nearby...how do we know his team isn't close? Or invisible even.

It's impossible to tell if someone is on a team or not. Unless you expect people to send a /tell to ask if the player wants to take part in PVP.

Well, you could always sent a lone man out to confront a single target, with the rest ready to charge in if he's not alone?

I'm sorry, but I really DO think if it's a lone target, then any more than 2 to 1 really just is not on. You're not giving him a fighting chance and I can't see how YOU manage to get fun out of a sure thing... Surely duking it out one on one, where you've got a good chance of getting smeared, is going to be FAR more satisfying that the whole lot flying up to some dude, hitting a single attack, and walking away from his remains?

What about the poor SOB you just smeared? Did he have fun getting ganked by 8 guys, or would he have had fun if it had been a battle he could win? Personally, I'll take on any one or even two at a time, but more? Forget it; certain doom is not fun, but uncertain doom is!

Not trying to spoil your fun guys, just trying to get you to see the other side of the coin...

I thought it was just some crazy new AI script on the enemies that made them run around like headless chickens for the slaughter. Fun fun fun

Anyone in Warburg is just more reputation waiting to happen in my book, don't like the PvP stay out the way. Lets face it, its the only zone like it at the moment plenty of other places to go see, I don't have a problem with the killing which ever side I'm on, dishing it out (of course the norm :P) or the receiving end. Even then, I've been in there plently of times with various alts solo to do a mission or just explore, its not exactly hard to do with a small amount of preperation and intelligence to not get ganked by a team.

i agree but the ranting post was made by someone who was constnantly attacking us with a team or at least while a team was engaged in a battle with us.At moments like this i am sure u agree that i cant possibly pause and send a tell sayin "excuse are u in a team so i can now to kill u or not". Also the ranting post obviously has it for getting killed too much despite his efforts to kill us since

1)he mentions things that not happen (like kill me while unguarded whoch not happens)

2)mentions we were more than 1 team (which is common to all we were not since is easy to tell we are one team and especially with 2 team we cant work together cause of my hurricane

I not mind a good rant but when it contains things like this that are illogical,like moaning for 8vs1 when u are getting killed while in a team, is just ridicilous. If u got a problem we operate as a team tough!this wont change.Unless u make a good team and break us.TIll then just do your best or avoid PvP and stay in 1vs1 in arena.

EDIT:i not mind people who get killed cause we are 8 complain cause they got a point..although we can never know they are alone no system warning for that. I mind people who are in team fight all night nd die and then make posts like the ranting which talks about 8vs1 when this is not the case and hiding behind that arguement the fact that they try fight in Warburg a fully configured PvP team in a i5 build.How u think u can even begin to have a chance against fully proper slotted ED PvP builds with an i5 build i not know but yet the rant goes on. Though, maybe if they appear to be alone, just the one who gets attacks responds whilst the others keep an eye out for friends? Meh... Rules change whey they attack a team, it's the other way around that is of concern to me

Well, like I said... Anyone attacking anyone else can expect to get whatever they get, especially an existing battle I did it a couple of times on the test server (sorry Mediscales2!!). Shame I neglected to pay closer attention to the dwarf he was fighting.. OUCH! Shame I was also exmped down below my epic pool so I didn't have my shield!!

And I'll see about sorting something with Nova a bit later... (Need to remind myself of where his powers are and binds!) Plight's faced him a couple of times in the Arena pre I5 and he got spanked Maybe I'll just un-stealth/phase shift behind you and say boo with my alpha strike... (Of course, should I do that, I'd fully expect to be dead 10 seconds later!)

You conveniently forget the times you went down? Not surprising I guess, you'll never admit to being beaten. And the majority of the time I was solo, had team invites and refused them its just that everyone was generally aiming at the same group of people.

The important thing here is that I'm not the only one who thinks this of you, the only ones being vocal to the contrary here seem to be those on your team!

If I really wanted a fair match I could bring out one of my four controllers, you've met one of them, she was fresh from Victory that day, complete with yellow enh and no damn inf to replace them (whos idea was that?!).

I was basically in Warburg as a testing ground for my respec initially by the way, which is why it was important to me to have some 1 on 1 matches, never mind though.

This was not a general reply, but one aimed at a specific person who called himself a gamer, which from my point of view DID suggest he knew more about gaming than I did. Well, my experience begins in 1981 and if you count the Atari console and PONG then *maybe* 1979. Whether I know more or less than any given person, I wouldn't dare comment, but I do have some idea what I'm talking about.
In between computer games I did a lot of role playing and that it a factor in my opinion as I don't see CoH as a 3rd person shooter, but as a role playing game - one that centres on Good versus Evil. That's what CoH was SUPPOSED to be all about and I'm suggesting that Warburg bucks that ideal as it's hero versus hero and it's because of that I don't and probably won't spend much time in there. But I think I've said everything I needed to - the other PvP zones I can't comment on as I need to do a full respec before I begin to give them a go.

Honestly Fyreball i not know what problem u have with me cause i really like u from all the times we talked and i like the people in your SG and got some good friends there.U are really mistaking the fact that we try indulge some competition and rivalry in that zone in order for people to get interested.Like i said i never claimed to be best or anything and i sure have been taken down and everytime i admit...i have taken some nice humiliating defeats from Imaginary and Plight and it was good matches all times. Dunno what u make issue out of just because we create a bit of war atmoshpere in the zone..outside the zone i am still always like i said going out of my way to help people even if i have met them in matches and killed them or got killed...anyway i will step out of it since i agree to disagree with u and i certainly got no hard feelings or anything for ya..not my style and very few people i dislike in this game and u sure arent one of them.

on a lighter note, was pwning the bosses in warburg with ntrailz and lokanna elianna last night and MAYJIN turns up right on top of us, hes a lvl 50 elec/nrg/fire blaster from DARK ZONE, NT says 'enemy' or some such and im like '[censored] RED CON!' wack the target on him (then lost and got it back cos im stupid at 6 am) and KABLAM tesla cage ftw, then i send him an invite cos he said 'can i help', i told him it wasnt the best idea to sneak up on me, as it tends to lead to aim, build up and a barrage of 5dmg slotted melee attacks i have lying about from i5, fortunately i didnt squish him and we had a laugh.

thats exactly my point..although my english skills suck compared to Q...i aint gonna let any important target like a blaster staying in range keep up attacking just because we killed him too much..and thats a common fact and knowledge..it doesnt mean i am aiming for u or i am going specifically against u its just happens that u bee prioritized as an important target..

You know what... You're right.

My problem was purely being ganged up on initally, it all cascaded from there I guess. I'm not going to let that taint the respect I had for you from the time you and EK stepped up to help me through the first respec all that time ago, ain't worth it.

Also... Rain. Be great to go into the arena with you, I still need to work out my respec so need a good even battle to show the holes in my build, just hope its not like a sieve!
