I did drop on an unsuspecting mob yesterday who were standing around chatting near The Web and released a Nova. I killed one I think, and got a lot of Reputation out of it.
They did kill me as I had no End, but it was thoroughly worth it 
I don't think it's the being killed that people have a problem with it's the teams of people camping at the front of the beach jumping 6-8 to 1 so you don't stand a chance!
I encountered this, quite a few people I know online have encountered this and it's on the us boards.
I'm in a PvP area, I'm at risk of death - fine
being jumped by 6-8 people who then gloat about it being their beach and they killed me 'cos I attacked them first (when I didn't) isn't.
My only character that can enter Warburg is my level 50 illusion controller who gets spotted by many chars with perceptions powers, I don't stand a chance, if I had a scrapper or tanker then maybe!

But when they do pvp you have a go at them anyway Raziel? I was quite happy pvping today and didn't moan once no matter how many times I was beated or held. Telling someone to, ''Get a life'' for involving themselves in pvp, as you did to me today, not to mention the fact I was using myself as a punchbag for other's entertainment, doesn't inspire much.

Ah the beach.....
I went to warburg with a team for my first PvP action I was having fun for about half an hour, sure I faceplanted several times but I gotta couple of kills too.
The thing that ruined it for me is that since we're so near the beach, there was one person who as soon as his health was half way down he'd run away to the boat, it got silly he was running away at the single sign of trouble but would still kill you if you started fighting someone else.
It's people like this who'll ruin PvP.

Got to agree with Eskimo_Spy, its a laugh nobody i saw on the beach was taking it too seriously. Theres trash talk but nothing harsh.

Seriously though. Don't expect to go into a pvp zone solo and expect to survive, not even on a tank or a scrapper. The smart players will be there in teams, the smarter ones will be there in PVP balanced teams.
The first time I was there was just to explore and check the place out, I just didn't expect to be jumped on by a "wasted 16 year old" (his words) and his mates and then be given a load of abuse about it.
Fair dues the second time I went on in a team and had a good laugh.
Maybe they should have a pvp flag system, you can set yourself as available for PvP for say 5 minutes or just decide not to participate and do missions there.

If you just want to do missions there and get the badges, I believe the mission contact gives out a perfectly usable Temp Phase shift power that lasts for 30 minutes. Try that.
I'm fine with PvP, that's not the problem, it was the whole experience given to me by the charming "heroes" that jumped me!
I thought I would be ok with superior invisibility, I wasn't, I now know why and what to possibly expect there.
I'm sure I'll have more good fun there.

i didnt respond to the first post u made but i will respond to this..THATS A LOAD OF LIES.
U wanna do sighseeing and explore?get phase shift...as i recall the abuse started when u called us a variety of names because u kept coming in a straight line and we would simply kill u whereever we see u....so u decided start call us things and of course some responded..so u wanna say something on this?report us to the GM's..i got full log so dont make me post it here...like i told u on broadcast report us if u want otherwise stop.and u kept on....fine.Coming here and saying this lie though is totally out of order..and u kept on the same arguement when we told u this is PvP zone

I put it down to idiots and brushed it off, I guess you didn't notice that I came back on and was fighting.
As I was trying to make my point when it occurred I became angry because I was held by a gravity controller who denied this and then was taunted and shouted at when I released my pets! "We killed you because you attacked us" NOT TRUE
I was mid apology at the time about my bad language and was taunted again so didn't follow through with my apology.
That was my point, why lie about it, I have a record of it to and have not taken it any further.
If you want to make a big deal about it then that's your choice.

PvP and all that.. meant nothing by it, honest Maybe worded badly and i apolygise if so.. but all in good sport.
Besides.. I HATE BUBBLERS lol if you think Nemesis was bad.. at least he went down.. you actually lasted its things like that that make me wanna level my Bubbler Toon more

It is a big deal for many reasons.
First of all u complain because u died in a PvP zone..second i not see anywhere in my log us yelling cause u release pets and i am more than sure noone could have yelled from my group cause u got pets out cause your pets were no threat to any of us. What i recall is u continuously complaining cause we killed u. well we did and we will do again cause is PvP zone. I didnt go hide and w8 u somewhere to come so i sneak up on u and kill u..I am sitting at the most obvious place in Warburg which u can avoid it by turning right or left and goign around. It is a big deal cause u decided to bring it here on the forums and make it look like we exploit PvP or something. I love PvP i spend time preparing for it and i am usually with a team that loves it as well..So i am accused for it for being immature?Like i told u on broadcast....u wanna do sightseeing or get xp?there more than enough zones in CoH to do that..u wanna do sightseeing in Warburg?get phaseshift or a really good team....i do the second so i not need phaseshift.I been killed and also attacked by more than one people and since i get no debt i not see what is the deal here and what is your point since its PvP fun which means u ll get killed and u will kill.Its the kind of fun u get in PvP zone....

This mainly is what I'm getting at.. how can u expect to go into a PvP area and not get jumped?
It's like going into a Quake 4 map and just sitting there for hours on end with ur rail gun, talkin bout the weather.
Okay.. granted there are badges, but like any map, ie Peregrine wud u expect to go thru there without something (ie sniper) trying to drop you? Or Hollows, wud u expect the Trolls to leave u alone, as ur level 12 Toon walks past..?
If you're solo and are just there for the badges.. maybe broadcast that THATs what you're there for.. and don't interfere with the PvP, infact.. don't go anywhere near it, that way most people will at least be aware of it.

I was then killed and then accused of attacking first

AGAIN my argument was not that I was killed, it was the stinking attitude I received and that I was accused of attacking first.
I'll apologise now for swearing, I think it was 3 times, I can check the log if need be. I just gave as good as I got.
Other people experienced the same behaviour I was unfortunate to experience that night.
Are we gonna drop this or end up posting logs, Bridger getting involved and wrists being slapped?

LOL it's damn fun i didn't think it wud be for me.. but I liked it.. I brought my level 50 (unrespecced-i5)Tanker in at one point, teamed with the GF and sum SG guys, ended up on my own, and near the end, had about 6 people (blasters/tankers/scrapper ) all on me trying to take me down they did eventually when the ice blaster dropped my toggles.. but was well cool.. and sumtimes a good test to see how your toon performs under varied conditions, rather than missions you can do blind folded, at least with PvP - you have to think about your plan of attack/defense.

I see what you're saying, but I did admint to holding you at least 3 times after the argument started. In fact, I believe I said something along the lines of "I just wanted to show off that I could see through your invis". Not big or clever, I know, but it was all meant as a bit of fun. In the end, though, it did get a bit out of hand with all the arguing.
For the record, the youngest person in our team was 18 and the only drunk one (iirc) was the 30-odd year old

You are TOLD that it could happen, yet today i had people whining at me that we was attacking them? Okay.. maybe they didnt want it.. but hell, you're warned about it.. u enter a PvP zone, then it MIGHT happen... its what they're there for...
