    Plot upgrades

But obviously... if you pay 3mil, then want to upgrade to the 8mil plot, you're gonna sell the 3mil plot... which means you only need to remaining 5mil.

So its not cumulative... but it is at the same time...
  2. Well I have access to the SG mission for the IoP, and thats just from a working mission computer... so if you want a raidable base, just do that...

If you want a fully functional base, then I think the best way is to start off with a secure plot... but then I've not done this yet, so don't quote me on that!
  3. Perpetual Sin

Moderately sized supergroup with a functional base. Website on its way at the moment.
  4. Send a tell to Nekronos when I'm online... our SG is called "Perpetual Sin".

We're always up for teaming, and our base is tech-based.

The villains are 'moaning' because they are at an extreme disadvantage. Because of the way the exemping system works, even though that hero is at the same level as you for combat, your powers are going to work a load better, because he's actually at that level, and you've been exemped down.

If they actually level-limited the zones instead of running the dump auto-SK/exemp system, the battles would be:

    A) Fairer
    B) Easier to work out if you've got valid balance.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is the ideal, and only fair way to auto-exemp in lower level pvp areas - good post.

Well, yes, until a hero with a rich benefactor (Alt, Sg or whatever) comes in fully slotted. Given the number of >40s in paragon, and the relative sparcity of inf in the rogue islands- it will be heroes slotting SOs first.

So, at most, you'd push the situation back maybe a week while people leveled new alts exclusivly for PvP and then slotted them from the piggybank. Although i doubt you'd even do that, as the more dedicated PvPers would have seen a level cap in beta and started leveling a toon earlier.

What you would effectivly achieve is
    A) punishing casual PvPers (ie. me, and most of my SG). Who are unlikely to keep alts at the right levels for long.
    B) Punish anyone who hadn't previously leveled a high toon, less inf to support the new toon- and pres to earn too.
    C) punish anyone who HAS leveld a high toon. As they have to wait for Recluses Victory to get into a PvP zone, with that toon. Which would be irksome.
    D) Give the dedicated PvPers an even greater advantage. As their pre-leveled, fully slotted, PvP only alts have the run of the zone for a while. Learning the land, getting the temp powers, and pratising their techniques. I fully expect a dedicated PvPer to beat me, but I would like to have the option of trying to learn something from them, before they get THAT much of a headstart.
    E) Completly fail to achieve the "fairer" zone.
    F) Even if you could balance all the ATs perfectly (which I sincely doubt) you'd have to do it all over again when the villans picked up a full slotting of SOs. So really you gain nothing, but annoying a large chunk of the playerbase, and the people [censored]ing about the SO situation- WOULD STILL BE [censored]ING ABOUT IT.

Not to mention that if you take a look over the thread, many villans have said they have no problems against Heroes. I guess it all comes down to player perspective.

    Not my favourite idea ever.

Ok in all of that confusion, I basically see you not liking the idea of exemping the enhancement slots as well as the general level of a player (hero or villain) because of the "hard work" they'd put in to levelling and developing a pvp character?

What he was suggesting was making the auto-exemp system fairer for lower levels... not just the villians.

Basically if a lvl 50 goes to BB, their level is dropped to 25... however their enhancements are still (for example) 6-slotted lvl 50 SOs.... fair? No.

Auto-exemping to drop the 50's enhancement slots as well makes it fair for the players who actually are lvl 25... If you'd end up gettin narked that you're not as powerful in that pvp area... go to a higher-level pvp area! nuff said.

"Punishing" players has nothing to do with it - making fights fairer is the point... Unfair pvp is just tiresome and boring.

When I hear people argue against the idea of dropping the enhancement levels to be the same as the player level.... all I see is a bunch of gankers crying cos they're not able to pick on lower levels.

    Rent?

You need to visit the SG registrar (where you created your SG) in order to pay rent - its not automatic unfortunately.
  7. I'll probably be up for this if we can start at 11am if possible???

    lvl 24 MM - Nekronos.

Just send me a tell anytime.
  8. So wait..... you construct something on a workbench... and it COSTS YOU PRESTIGE TO PLACE? Whats the point in that? (aside from being able to construct items that you can't buy...)

If I can construct a mission computer, surely that should cost me no prestige at all... just use up the salvage I've got... otherwise I may as well buy the computer anyway as its still gonna cost.....?

    Can this be clarified?

If you construct an item out of salvage, does it cost prestige to place in the base?

    PvP Complainers

    Woah thats a fast reply!

tbh I can't remember which contact it was - I was around lvl 16 the first time, and I was sent to Bloody Bay... I did manage to zip to the mission area and zip out again without being seen, which was lucky.

I've got a mission at the moment that I'm dubious to take as its sending me to the correspondant by the chopper in sharkhead (the one that advises of pvp gameplay etc)... and I think that mish came from Mickey the Filch, but I could be mistaken.

I'm ignoring it at present, but I know I'll get to a point where all 3 of my mission slots are taken up by forays into pvp areas... and I'm not one for pvp myself.

What would be ideal is if missions spawned outside a pvp area would not force you into a pvp area... and then missions spawned in Bloody Bay, Sirens, Warbug etc would keep you in that area... is that whats supposed to happen at present?

Or is the mission I have at the moment literlally just to talk to this poerson - I don't have to go to the pvp area if I don't want to??

    PvP Complainers

My only complaint isn't so much about pvp in general.... but about the mission system.

Why oh why are we forced to go to pvp areas for missions? Some of us don't want to pvp at all (I can't stand it cos Ganking in general is one pf my pet peeves... and until there are more lvl 50 villains, Heroes will always beat).

I went to Bloody Bay the other night as I was sent there for a mission.... I get on my way through the area, and I got totally gangbanged.

All I ask is to keep missions out of pvp areas (unless they are started by a contact within a pvp area). That way, those of us that aren't interested in pvp at all can steer clear.
