Epic Archetypes and Going Rogue
Basically no real information has been released (that I've seen) relating to EPP or APP in relation to GR.
I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong...
Yah i figured as much but its still nice to sepculate on whether it'll be alignment at 50 that decides what you unlock or if its at based regardless of alignment
I'd play a Hero VEAT if only the police drones went berserk on me anytime I got near them.
"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict
Well, considering the devs pretty much said making the Epic Archetypes unlockable only when getting a toon to 50 was a mistake, maybe getting a Blaster to 50 in GR will unlock the HEATs and then switching sides will unlock the VEATs. It would half-'fix' the problem by cutting the grind-to-fifty in half for those that want the EATs ASAP.
Also I want two Praetorian EATs or PEATs.
I'm more curious if we'll see a REAT
... Hit it ...
It should be simplified: getting to 50 on either side should unlock both epic ATs.
One more thing: GR should include the Incarnate epic AT.

It doesn't already work that way?

This is the same issue as SG bases and losing them when you cross over: The answer is to have a VG base ready to accept your hero and a SG base ready to accept your villain and switch both.
So.. have a level 50 hero and a level 50 villain ready for both to switch. Or, have several 50s on each side.
Otherwise, you're out of luck. If you only have one level 50, and thus only one side unlocked for EATs, and it switches sides, then you still have only one level 50 and only one side is unlocked for EATs.

Are you deliberately making this up?
If I have two level 50 heroes, and one goes Rogue, I still have one to qualify for the HEAT flag. Even if they change things, this fact is not hard to understand.

This isn't even how the EAT flag works. I can get a hero to 50 and delete him and I'll still have access to Kheldians if I want. The continued existence of a level 50 character is in no way a requirement for creating a EAT.

No, that's exactly how it works now, if the only thing that were to change were switching sides. The rest of the game would react exactly as I described and my suggestions for reacting to it would work, even though some may not like the work involved or would not like it to work that way.
The question unanswered is: When side switching comes, will the Devs *change things* so that if my only level 50 toon, who happens to currently be a hero, switches sides, I can still make Kheldians? Because currently, that will not be the case.
The Devs can change how EATs get unlocked so that just one level 50 unlocks EATs on both sides, my speculation is that it's unlikely. But it's a fact that if they don't change the code to allow it, it won't happen that way.

I might be reading the responds in this thread wrong but i never said anything about losing access to one of the AT's by switching sides i asked that if i made a brand new hero AT (and yes i know there's no answer to this question yet) and i've never had a 50 on either side i run say a blaster from 1-50 (or whatever the lowest level you can switch sides at) as a villain will i unlock the HEATs since i started as a hero AT or will it unlock the VEATs since my alignment was red when the blaster dings 50. I doubt the devs will program it that you'll lose access to one sides epics if you take your only 50 from that side and switch their alignment.

Lunarknight is correct. If you get to level 50 heroside, you unlock kheldians. If you delete that level 50, you still have access to kheldians. It's apparently a flag on your account, not an issue of checking to see if you currently have a level 50 on the appropriate side.
The devs have posted this in the past. I'm not going to look it up. If you don't believe me, you'll have to find the reference for yourself.
However, the flag can and does unflag itself, and CS can't help you if it does..

Too many blasted alts to list, but all on Virtue.
I'm curious to see if your AT name changes when you switch sides. Like MasterMinds become Commanders, Stalkers become Spec Ops, Scrappers become Warlords, Brutes become Brawlers..ect.

As I recall, they devs have stated that only the first set of Epic ATs will have this requirement. Any future ATs will be unlocked by other, yet to be specified, means.

that would be semi-neat for some reason devastator screams out to me for blasters
I think it'd be great if they added "Reformed" to villains (ie Reformed Corrupter) and "Fallen" to Heroes (ie Fallen Defender) when you switch sides, and "Rogue" when you straddle the "Gray" line (IE Rogue Mastermind

Only if you assemble it from five Blasters.

Don't forget to include a pair of wrecking balls!
i'm pretty sure this question has already been asked and i doubt a concrete answer has been reached but i thought i'd ask since i rarley cruise the forums.
For new users to the game or people who've never gotten a 50 of the opposite faction, what happens if i make a new blaster and i've never gotten a fifty blue or red and i take him villain side and ding fifty. what do i unlock? Veats since i'm evil? or do i unlock the Heats since i was originally a hero AT? or do the devs pull somethign tricky and give you a brad new Epic Archetype (A man can dream cant he?). Anywho i just wanted to see the forums ideas and speculations.
