Awesome. I tried to do it once, but got tired of such limited slots and on-hero storage capacity. I leveled to 10 just to have some breathing room. But then I lost interest in the project after earning just a few million.

I didn't try the RP beggar guy, but I did try the drone kill idea. I wasn't
able to make it work... After I aggro'd the baddy, typically by running past
him, and having him follow me to the drone, the "victim" always ran off
afterwards without giving any reward....

After several attempts at that, my "Don't Care" meter pegged and that
was the end of that little experiment...

It's amusing to see someone perservere with the idea though.

I always go through the tutorial with a new toon. If you turn off xp as soon as you zone into it, you should pop out into either Atlas Park or Mercy with nil for xp. You should also have you're mitts on a pair of Large pills, one red, one green.

With xp still off, go kill a few level one mobs in your new zone until you have about 30 inf. This should let you put the two pills on the market. Each time I've done this I've walked away with anywhere between 30 and 65 thousand inf.

This should be enough for you to forge ahead and start building wealth like you're in a bubble.

I used the AE drones in Atlas Park and was able to get 9 influence. I just hit 2 million and taking my time...

That is not a bug. You must be level to to craft.

If you can't use a crafting station, I assume it's a bug. You can craft costume recipes at level 1; I just tried it to verify.

Hmmmm... I tried it over by the tram, and the zonedoor to Steel and the
NPC "victim" always runs away without the thank-you or the reward...

First off, congratulations to Case Anarchy. That is tenacity defined.

Second, a few misconceptions in here about xp that people probably aren't aware of.

1. Exploration badges do not give xp to a level one character. I've tried it.
2. This one I'm not as certain about, but I take this patch note
