There are plenty of people on Guardian who still wish to do regular missions. Last night in fact I did a PuG Citadel. People out there wish to do non-AE stuff, it's just a matter of doing a little more work than in the past.
Send me a tell in-game when you're on Guardian anytime and I'd be happy to team up with you. I've got a few lvl 20's I'd love to get up there, and they're not that great on the soloing, and my 50's I'd be happy to exemp down. Global is my forum name.
I just kind of have a feeling that with 2XP weekend coming up and the hopes that the AE will be exempt from the double XP, we'll get more people out of AE and into the real world. Until then, those of us that really want to play will be forced to muck through a little longer.

Are you part of the global channels dedicated to your servers of choice? I find those are the best places to find teams, certainly a lot better than broadcast.
Other than that, I doubt there's any server where AE isn't the main attraction. If you don't feel like starting your own teams, global channels are your best bet.
Really, any server should have a decent non-AE population.
My advice would be to of course make your own teams first and foremost, as that's a pretty effective way to choose the content you want to do.
However, you can also do things like join global channels for your server. I know Virtue has several channels that help people find teams for all sorts of stuff. It's really nifty.
Also, check out your server's forum. Many times there are events and stuff posted (TF runs and whatnot). If you attend those and get your foot in the door, you'll be introducing yourself to many people who do more than just AE content.
And then follow CharybdisClan's advice. People are always willing to do regular content wherever you go, it's just about finding them.

They all do. It is just a matter of refining your method for finding a team. Broadcast ("lvl 8 Magic Scrapper lft") has always been a horrible way to find teams. If you are Broadcasting for a team, and relying on Broadcast to let you know which other players are looking for teams or team members, you are doing yourself a great disservice.
First, get out of Atlas Park. This will greatly reduce the "AE team lfm 4 lvl 54 Boss farm. lvl 40+ only" spam that you are seeing now. Open your team search window, narrow the search to characters near your level, and start sending tells asking if they would like to team or if they have room on their team for one more.
Go down to the server forums and join the Forum Chat Channels. These server channels are where most of the folks who are sick of the AE spam find their teams. They turn off Broadcast so the server channels are the only chatter they see.
The team and players are out there. You just need to hone your team seeking skills. Except to make or check my own missions, I rarely set foot in an AE building. The rest of my time in game has been doing non-AE content.

And I ran a PuG Synapse last night. And a PuG Citadel and ITF the night before. I tend to only recruit from the Guardian and Level 50 channels though. If you don't belong to one of those, I recommend that you join. I believe that I did see you listed in the Guardian channel list a few times though. *shrug* Keep your eyes open.

We hear this "I can't find a team." a lot. The real question is, exactly what are you doing to find a team? I have zero problem finding teams. I do AE arcs with my SG about twice a month and don't set foot in there the rest of the time.
People are still doing regular missions an *ALL* of the servers. I can't imagine why you would be having problems on Justice. Justice and Infinity battle it out for 3rd busiest server. I'm on Infinity and have no problems finding teams.
1. Get out of Atlas Park.
2. Loiter in level-appropriate zones.
3. Join some of your server badge/task force/raid channels.
4. Join an active SG that doesn't live in AE.

Join globals. I assure you that Protector, my home for 5 years now, is NOT "all AE".
Find your own team - get down into the threads below, get on the globals, arrange things, get in supergropus, etc. Get to the right zone. People who are interested in PLAYING the game, will be in their correct zones already. Don't hang out in Atlas at 40 (say) and wonder why you can't find a mission team.

I saw the Synapse in the Guardian Channel. And I also did a PuG Respec from the Guardian channel. I generally don't do regular mission teams, rather I do task force teams. That's my preference, however.
But Global Channels are the best bet indeed. Team search window as well, but always follow their requests in the search description field. Don't send an invite to a "No blinds" person without asking first, if they say they only want a specific TF or people their level or higher, etc.
The Guardian channel is open to all, but you won't be able to talk until a channel op grants you that right. Took me 5 minutes to get it. Level 50.... well, I don't go there because I accidentally left it. :/

The list of global channels to join is stickied at the top of the Protector forums along with a calender and various other sundry important pieces of information.
If you can't find a team on Protector or Justice, you really aren't trying and you won't find one on any other server either.

Join the Guardian global channel, named Guardian. No AE Farming going on in there. Stay out of Atlas Park. No /b for AE farms flooding your chat box, and as a bonus, your IQ will go up by 10 points.

That would be my question as well. I play on Protector, and rarely touch AE, yet my experience there is very much at odds with what the OP is encountering.
Protector has two active global channels: Protector Watch and Jello Shooters. There is almost always something going on that players can get involved in.

More people play on freedom that aren't farming than actually play on the other servers total. Freedom badge and freedom tf global channels as well as the right supergroup can find people that play the game.
Also, start a static team on any server. That can help too, but you need to find 7 other players that like to play when you do which can be tougher than it sounds, even on freedom.

Last night I was on Guardian running the Croatoa arcs on my Warshade, passing the Citadel PuG that was forming on my way back from a WW trip to drop off some arcane salvage drops, when I got a tell from a global friend on Infinity asking me if I could come along on a BSF. I hadn't run it, so I switched.
What is this "only AE" stuff?

Freedom has a lot of players, but more than the total of all other servers? I think not.
That's not bashing Freedom, but although it has a high population, there's really no way it has that many more.
OP, lots of suggestions how to find a team. They work.

well if your looking for a elite group of players try Pinnacle, we still have a lot of NON-AE players, and have regular scheduled events like ship raids on wed nights, hess on thurs night,and pvp on sun and fri.

I played on a non-AE team on Justice hero tonight.
I played on a non-AE team on Protector on Friday.
I haven't played on Guardian recently so I can't say what's up there.
I've been playing only on non-AE teams on Triumph for the last two weeks.
I've played on non-AE teams on several other servers, but I can't say which for sure. Probably Champion and Infinity.
I don't play on Farmdumb or Virtue at this point because of all the AE-exploiter activity on those two servers.

You know, for someone with that moniker you are awfully pessimistic.
I play on all servers (including Victory) and never have trouble finding teams when I want them. If you are just standing around broadcasting in Atlas and expecting to find a team not doing AE, maybe that's your problem.
This thread is full of suggestions for how to find good teams on any server. Use them.

To be fair, what I THINK the above phrasing intended to say is:
Freedom has more non-farmers that any other single server has total players.
I can't say if this is true, but it does at least seem possible.

Yet, it would still be false. With I15 and the Architect Edition out on shelves, there have been a staggering number of new and return customers *on every server*.
Just because some of them hang out in Atlas to AE their lives away doesn't mean anything at all.
Get out of Atlas, start your own teams, join a supergroup with active players, join global channels, post here in the forums about events and tf's you want to participate in.
This applies on every server. Period.

No, they Really don't.
A server merge is viewed by the gaming public (i.e. the gamers that watch the gaming news but don't play the game in question)
as a desperate last resort of a dying game, which CoH is definitely NOT.
Also, what happens when Uberguy from Victory and Uberguy from Guardian find themselves on the same server? Who gets the name and who gets to be Uberguy1?
There are so many more reasons that a server merge is a horrible idea that I'm not even going to go into them all.
But it IS a horrible idea.
