That's true. What I really should say is it could be great or nothing depending on the details.
I'm just in the "I hate KO blow animation camp" and the thought of having the option to improve it is just so cool, that the thought of the alternative being something I like less, just makes me sad.
But wow, I made like 400 assumptions there so I'll just need to sit back and "wait and see". Overall, I'm pretty excited about this.

Shhhhhh .... or they'll do it and we'll end up with a 17 second animation time and a KB mag of 1000.
Anyone else notice how stone armor was on both the gigantic list that will have customizable powers, and also was on the list with necromancy had the following quote:
"Stone Armor and Necromancy will include limited customization."
KO Blow may be hard to change without altering it from Knockup to Knockback or down.

There will not be an alternate animation for every power, but the potential to add new animations or even plug in existing animations that work for the power is there.
Right now we have an alternate animation for Jab, Punch, Haymaker, Foot Stomp, and Knockout Blow that are intended for players who want to play a more 'heroic' super strength character (compared to the somewhat smashy super strength that we have now). Most of those are completely new animations.
Cool. It will be hard to improve on Footstomp. Smashing both fists on the ground, maybe? That would be sweet.
How about a "random" option, in case you like both the old and new animations?
Will my Mastermind be seeing the updated Knockout Blow animation choice(s)? Or Boxing, as it uses the same animation as Jab?

Let me second the request for a "random" option on the animations. That would make it seem we have more powers and more variety in the game. Don't delay issue 16 for it, but it's something to consider for a future update.

Are there plans to offer alternate animations for other powersets somewhere down the line (i17 maybe)? I know for instance I'd like to use the animation that Cosmic Burst uses for some of my Energy Blast powers.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Will the new animations have the same animation time as the current animations? I'd find it pretty unreasonable if they are longer, or shorter, animation times for those powers.
