Mainly because I'm curious as to how other people arrange their screens, I made this thread.

Anyway, here's mine.

Your Inspiration tray and Target window bother me

My GUI

Since this is a new character the power trays are mostly empty... generally the 3 main trays get COMPLETELY filled, with the two extra trays mostly filled.

Good gracious, that's alot of ish going on. I had a hard time finding the actual window to the game.

I like my globals And thank god the devs went with transparent windows! It's quite easy to focus on the game and completely ignore all the extra windows, actually

(and if it ever bothers me, I can just disable the UI )

My GUI. Holly Star is camping out in a hospital for the day job badge.

All globals go in the top-left chat window. That way it's easy to tune them out while I'm fighting.

The 'bracket' area formed by trays 7 and 8 on the right also makes a nice place to 'dock' other windows like pets, base control, and power attributes.

I can reclaim a lot of those spaces if I customized the quick emote menu, but I haven't had the opportunity yet.

Is there a way to save GUI settings so that you don't have to recreate them for every new character?

Thanks! I'll check those out next time I'm in game.

Typically this.

But recently I've moved the health bar portion closer to center and put the mission / map part in the upper right corner. I'm finding I like it better that way. No screenie yet.

I always wondered how you get those buttons to have words on them, the grey ones?

Mines in my sig, pretty basic, I like to see whats going on while playing

/macro name command

Whatever's in "name" will show up (as best it can) on the button.

My UI setup. I use 85% UI scale so that the buff icons on the pets and the team window don't stretch half the width of the screen. The global chat tab windoid shares space with the team window, since I never use both at the same time. And the space between the target window and the compass is set aside for WinFast PVR, the TV application that came with my TV tuner card, so I can watch TV (usually the news) while I'm playing solo.

Example, since you like the ITF so much:

/macro surg "targetcustomnext surgeon"

This will make a grey macro button with "surg" on it whose function is to target anything with the name pattern of "surgeon" (note: the pattern just needs to be unique enough, so you don't really have to spell the whole thing out.)

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

I'm actually kind of surprised more people don't scale down their GUIs. I couldn't stand how big the default one looks, so I have mine set to 75, and I've even considered cranking it as low as 70.

Then again, I'm a big fan of the minimalist look. I have my map bound to Q and I just open up salvage/recipies/enhancment screens when I absolutely need to.

I know what you mean. For a long time I used the default layout, but after awhile, I got tired of having a circle of windows surrounding the action, so I Moved them to where they are and shifted my nav window to where target used to be to make a sort of U shape in the windows, leaving the rest of the screen open.

And yes, if I play a toon long enough, I do take the time on each of them to "match" the colors to the toon

It's ok, I do that for all my toons as well.

Edit: Well, except for Street Wolf. And of course that's the one picture I chose to post.

This is generally what my screens look like. Depending on what computer I play on, the scale is either set to 75 or 65. I do color code all the windows to match my toons as well. heh

My pet windows on my troller usually show up above the team window. I wish I could make it simpler looking again, but I use all of those windows all the freakin time! My tanker is worse because I monitor my combat attributes on her. heh
