Why does there need to be a penalty for this?

Since changing you colors will be -20% damage how many of the non-carebears will actually do this?

[/ QUOTE ]

That 20% is a maximum value. Remember, it scales depending on how far you deviate from the correct color.

So I'm guessing Fuscia pretty much zeroes out a power's effectiveness, eh?

It should be worth noting that changing the color to octarine triples the power's effectiveness.

[/ QUOTE ]

A time loop has been expanding since April 1, 1666, gradually capturing an increasing portion of the world's population in a state of a perpetual April 1. It seems that you've recently joined those captured by this temporal phenomenon, so you would do well to heed my advice.

1: Question everything. No exceptions. Ask why the sky is blue, and every time someone asks you for something, give them a quizzical look and inquire "Are you sure?!?"

2: Regis Philbin is presently the emperor of this time loop. Any time he asks you if something is your final answer, run for your life, or else it may well be!

3: Gravity has been known to periodically reverse it's direction as part of the cycle that maintains the temporal distortion. Be sure to have a helium balloon on your person at all times, such that if gravity does begin to reverse, it's sudden drop towards the ground will give you advance warning to find something to hold on to.

When I spotted BaBs post in the Dev Digest, I was extremely nervous for a couple seconds. That had worn off before I decided to check the actual thread and see what the joke was, but I still admit I sniffed the bait before noticing the hook.

You are misleading them with this statement, you forgot to tell them the correct color is NOT the base one all start with and they have to guess what the correct color is. Imagine my surprise while playing mega-closed-beta and find that the "correct color" for dark melee was bright pink.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, I know someone who's not getting into any more mega-closed-beta-tests, Mr. NDA breaker!

Waaaait a minute. I'm all for balancing from the vision, but those numbers seem skewed o.@ Why not like maybe 5% maximum value?

Also where's the rationale behind this, just curious. Is it to keep the purists happy and the RPers in check? o.0 I can understand us veering off your guy's "Original vision", and even by penalizing those who chose "Black" to turn off their effects to fake out PVPers but that number is just too high o.@
