People in PvP...Get with the program
You don't get any modicum of satisfaction from schooling these whiny novices with a quick trip to the hospital?
pfft,you stalkers and your hide,cheaters!
I was on my stalker, and watched this spines/??? scrapper get spiked, so i type in broadcast "You got wrecked" so he types in well it was 4 of them i then say "Run? He explains how he couldn't, and didn't know why (suppressed). He then sends me tell asking me do i lag when i'm hit or do actions too, he said it only happens in these pvp zones. I almost didn't have the heart to tell him, it ain't lag it's movement suppression and you need phase to get away from death now.
The funny thing is, even though you seem like one of the whiners that got the changes made in the first place, you're probably still bad..------Macskull on Crop_of_shaolin

I'm new. I PvP in zones. And I agree with you. It is a pvp zone, not the arena. It's combat. In combat you try to make the situation as lopsided as possible in your favor. If you don't like that set up then the Arena is for you. Which is fine. Each experience has its own fun.
As far as complaining about stalker triple and quadruple teams, I never complain about them until the stalkers start complaining about heroes setting up stalker trap.. I mean defenses around heavies and pill boxes.
Personally, I consider triple and quadraple teams a sign of respect for my toon. It ususally happens to me after I survive a single stalker AS and then reply with a power-up headsplitter, or when I let the single stalker think he's hidden and then interrupt his AS with said power-up headsplitter. Its tough though. Stalkers excel in the zonesand most are more experienced then me. They are built for the PvP zones. To demand a stalker fight a straight up duel without stealth would be like asking a U-boat to surface and fight a battleship in broad day light. Not much challenge there.
A stalker can't kill a regen or tank in zones straight up unless said tank/regen is asleep/horrible/trying to lose. So stalkers hunt in packs. I play both sides, but prefer heroes. Stalkers are ridiculous in hide because they are godawful out of it. Fair enough.

Yep. You said it much more concisely than I did.
I don't mean this as knock, but it seems like stalkers are a contrast of extremes. You either win quickly, die quickly, or run.
Also, I don't think stalkers can 1v1 WP scrappers or tanks either, but then I'm learning new things all the time about what can and cannot be done with different builds. I was introduced to EN drain builds last month. Not fun.
Point taken.
Yeah, the new PvP crowd seems to have little respect for their opponent's strategies.
This one time in RV I hit phase shift because 4 villains and a heavy were attempting to gang up on me on my DM/Regen scrapper while webnaded.
Then the corruptor started saying on /b "lol phase shift on regen."
Then I attacked him later on and he used his own phase shift.
It's funny. His standards changed under the new circumstances.
I once had a stalker demand I stop using my fly power and duel properly. I was thinking "Duel? If you have to set up an organized duel before you fight here why does the game warn you before you enter the zone?" I told him I'd drop my fly when he dropped his stealth. Oh, and the whole reason we ran into each other is because my MA/SR had a high enough perception rating to see him base camping in the towers near the helicopter in Bloody Bay. Yes, I'll trust you now in a duel.
As a disclaimer I do duel in zones when asked, but I really wouldn't be put out if someone decided to attack me while I did it. Like I said, there's a warning before you enter.
PVP has gotten like that in a lot of other games too- just glorified dueling. Some games even cater to these types of players.
This is happening because they want to invest as little resources as possible for PVP which is a shame.

There is no strategy. For instance Logged in the AM to pvp for a few before i go to work. 7 stalkers and a corrupter. you tell me where the strategy is in that.
when red side is populated with MM's stalkers, Corr's, and Brutes its a blast to pvp. I play both sides as well but when its all stalkers the fun is ruined and the B!#$%ing begins and rightfully so.
I'd love to see 7 stalkers in zone, and wreck them with a mixed team.

Im not new to PVP, but I am new to being any good at it. With the new changes I decided that it was time to jump into the deep end. I took my favorite toon (my night widow) and proceeded to buy everything I ever wanted to put on a toon. It took time but I eventually created a machine of pure death.
I delved back into RV for the first time in ages, and low and behold I was quickly attacked by a Katana/regen scrapper. The fight lasted about a minute but it was fun. In the end I was able to get the killing blow. I was pretty happy.
As the days went on I learned some tricks, and finally at the end of the first week I had a very proud moment. The scrapper that had first attempted to kill me without me noticing him the first night showed up in the zone, and was heading right towards me, we had a few run ins over the coarse of the week but I always came out on top even if it was just barely. As he came over the hill I prepped my Mind Link, and hit BU and went in for a Crit. He quickly saw me coming hit Phase shift and instantly ran.
I was a bit disapointed but seconds later recieved a tell saying " Knight Widow, I dont have time to get wrecked by you tonight, Im busy trying to actually get some kills."
Kinda cool, how a guy who just a few short weeks earlier was "LOLz, U cant pvp, u R not 1337 Enuff!" was now having people just run at first sight because they didnt think they could beat me.
Im having alot of fun now, and Im by no means invincible but its cool being able to hang with some of the more well knowns on my server.

I'm working on a new dueling stalker myself, but i have sat and watch him call out scrappers and tanks and beat on them for hours he rarely loses.

[/ QUOTE ]Maybe i luck out when i pvp that must be it, because if i'm on a team of stalkers we are calling out spikes, we get in out on to the next, i go hours with out dying. Wrecked never, if i die i had a lapse in concentration or the dreaded lb heavy made his mark. First in foremost i ain't rushing head first into a trap, second and most important with phase, shadow meld, and mog, their is no just wrecking me before i can get away. And what stalker let's themselves get continually ganked?
Literally i go hours with out dying, ppl's thinking on these matters just contrast the great disparity between hero and villain AT's and how the villains get toned down so much. It's almost a given if you fight a villain, that if you lost you just had to be a noob, versus the villain just having a good, well built toon, and skills on the usage of said toon.

Wrong scrapper, and that situation has been over with for a long time.
Looks like you came back to pick up where you left off.
You left complaining about PvP to return to complain about PvP.
Nice.
Find something else to do besides complaining. We heard it all before you left.

First of all, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean zone fight clubzors, since that is a pretty laughlable version of PvP in this game.
Second, I have to agree with con. There is no way in hell that any single stalker can kill either my regen scrapper or my fire tank. I just wouldn't let that happen. Sure, if I just stand there in 1 spot like an idiot (err...I mean like 99% of fight clubbers), there's a chance that he could pull off an AS + something and catch me at a bad time. But I don't just stand there, and neither would any good player. And against a moving tank/scrapper, no stalker is going to have a chance.
The rule is, if they can't AS you, they can't kill you.
When the massive PVP nerf bat struck a few issues back, I like many other dedicated PvP'ers left the game. I recently came back to give it a try once again. What was the biggest changes I found in PvP. PvP is substancially less populated than it once was. PvP does have some new people who have replaces a portion of those the Dev's forced out. Unfortunatley many of those new people have no idea what PvP is. There are those who never get out from under the statue and their formalized duals. Isn't that what arena is for? The, "Don't attack me, I'm only hear to dual.", is frequently heard. There is also the even more popular, "Leave me alone, I'm only here to farm!" Last night I heard the ultimate. I took out a scrapper farming Pb's. This scrapper was close to 50, and when I took him out with my stalker he sent this on Broadcast, "You #$%$# I'd like you to try that when I can see you." He was serious. The old PvP'ers have been replaced, in many cases but not all, with far too many people who don't have a clue and don't care to learn. I still like the game, but man I do miss the old PvP.
