What's even funnier is getting a blind invite to a team, turns out they are going to "farm", you tell yourself what-the-hell and here the leader say, "This is my first time running this".
Everyone enters the mission and begins to attack the first mob, you notice they have no chance against level 54 bosses, for one, the Tank was the first one dead, and second when you ask the Tank how they are slotted you get 6 people asking you, "What's an enhancement?".
You check their badges and all of them don't even have the first vet badge yet.
The other person on your team is laughing just as hysterically as you are as you both stand back and watch them die.

New players. And most seem to play to make characters

1) new players is generally a good thing.
2) New players who go from 1 to 50 without leaving Atlas Park, simply running AE farm missions and not learning how to actually play the game or their toons is not so good. Such players can be a menace to themselves and others in late-game teams.
3) If people want to live their entire careers in AE missions, so be it- it is their $14.99/month. However, such new players are unlikely to experience the true richness and diversity of the game, and will probably quickly get bored and quit because there's "nothing to do but these dumb architect missions."
4) This post reminds me of someone else on these boards... hmmm... who could that be...?

I have a level 45 which has never logged in... I love the level pact system. When the second half reaches 50, then I will log it in. I want to try to do a video of a toon going instantly to 50 on log in. I have never done a video in the game and I dont think a screen shot will do it justice. I also want to see if it gets the benefit of all of the inspirations at once too... Hellions need to be very afraid...

That's funny, but not quite the same thing. I suspect that you've played other toons while your lvl 45 is levelling up. And I suspect that you know what an "Awaken" does.

As a Pingu... we know awakens well. And we know the fast routes from all the hospitals.
When the playing toon gets to 49 I will have to figure out which exploration badge to level to 50 on. I am thinking Undefeated in Atlas. Or, the badge inside City Hall (I dont think I have it yet.)

You know I thought it was more epic that he asked a Pingu if he knew what awaken was, and was a bit disapointed that work got in the way so i was not able to post afterwards.
I do guess that new toon will be a bit behind on the debt badges <GRIN>

I had some golden moment in AE today. I saw a Dark/Dark scrapper and ended up teaming with him sadly. He was level 24, pl'd there obviously, had only been playing 4 weeks it comes out. He had 3 travel powers, took jump kick to get super jump, took flurry to get super speed and took aerial superiority to get flight. He had mostly been paying attention to his attacks and had only taken two shields, one was the damage aura. Also no stamina and he liked to run all his toggles at once, two attacks, endurance bottomed out, I'm guessing he wasn't enhanced either. *head desk*
*sits back up* But I'm not done! I click around to look at some of the builds. Next I see a Dark/Dark defender. No twilight grasp, no fearsome stare, no shadow fall, no howling twilight. But get this, they went into the healing power pool. I was thinking "Why the 'eff are you playing a dark defender if you aren't even going to take some of the best powers?
