The devs decided to do away with double xp weekend. They are also going to remove patrol xp and xp smoothing. This of course is in response to the vocal minority complaining that other people are leveling faster than they want them too. 
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

If you look closely at the dates that calendar was from May, 2008 to April 2009. It was released to celebrate the fourth anniversary.
Until we get an announcement or a redname confirms it, don't go planning your schedule around last years calendar.
A 2xp weekend usually gets used to break up the tedium during the summer. This year we have I15 coming out in the next month or so. That could easily push back the date of the 2xp event or even cancel it altogether.
Hopefully double XP will not be given in AE mishes...

All I think we can be relatively sure of is it won't be July 24-26 because that's the weekend of Comic Con in San Diego.

I'm guessing it'll be sometime around July 17-19, because that's when I'll be on vacation, and I have an odd track record of missing DXP weekends thanks to various trips.

The best bet: If there isn't one announced, don't assume there's even going to BE another one. Not saying that they're going to discontinue them, but there's always the possibility, so it's not really wise to, say, schedule vacation time around the assumption of 2xp...

I think they have cancelled it, but I am still keeping EVERY weekend in July open for possible vacation. Luckily, I can do that, as I am the boss of my company :-)
