If we ever get Rikti costume bits (not just the weapons - I mean like actual customizable Rikti parts... I know, not likely), I'm so doing a Rikti character of my main >.> just because.

I'd rather have a Rikti Hybrid as the next lvl 50 Archetype reward. That way you get the costume and can play as a sep Rikti. Can you imagine a Rikti MM equiv, similar to the Rikti Comm Officers.... :drool:

On the one hand... I absolutely love the Rikti armor style, and Psi-heavy characters faskinate me. Plus, badass Rikti rifle-axe. That's downright metal, I don't care who you are.
On the other... Oh man, those ceratopsidae frill heads. I dunno what they were thinking with those, but I always found them sort of goofy.
Honestly, I'd just be happy with some of the Lost and Rikti armor being proliferated to normal hero characters instead - particularly the Chief Soldier and Chief Mentalist/Mesmerist armors.

I wonder how many of the ideas floated between Tabula Rasa and COH Rikti development, because a lot of the Bane had a head crest if I remember correctly.

Wonky head crests have been a regular feature of alien monsters since the Tyranids were introduced to Warhammer 40k (insofar as gaming), or if you want another significant moment, the day that Alien released in theatres.
It's so basic sci-fi, you can't even really point fingers at who exactly started it.
EDIT: Not to say that there isn't a link, because there may well be, but there's no real clear, easy way to tell whether there was or not.
EDIT EDIT: Oops, shot myself in the foot there. Alien came out in 1979, whereas the Tyranids were not introduced until the '80's first as Genestealers in Space Hulk, before finally being fleshed out further in 1992 in Rogue Trader.

Hunters might have been the closets, but they had digitrade legs and a totally different head structure.
The sniper ones didn't bear any resembelence at all either.
Hrmm... I'm not really thinking of any Bane that resemble Rikti; though some of their ship designs certainly shared characteristics - Bane Drop ships and Rikti Dropships have a few things in common; and I think the Striders could pretty much be picked up and inserted into the Rikti here and you'd not notice them being too out of place (with a slight facelift of course - not a lot though, just a few minor touchups)

I deleted all my folders and screenies when they canx. I could have swore there were some Bane with a crest though. Not necessarily the same face and body but meh... Like i said my memory could be faulty.

I've always thought that Rikti: No Sense Of Humor. The Rikti forces are all dressed the same in those nice armored uniforms... then look at how the humans dress. That really has to drive the Rikti military commanders nuts, seeing a bunch of goofballs in tights and cat ears walking all over them.

Don't expect an EAT to be using a 50 unlock. General consensus from out Dev-way was that it was a bad idea, and that VEATs were put at 50 for the sake of parity.

In the repeatable RWZ missions, one of the bosses refers to the player as "birth body" I have never quite worked out if this is supposed to mean "un altered" or literaly the rikti's birth body, i.e. you and that rikti are each others alternate self's.

I'm quite sure that it means a naturally born and unaltered person, there are far too many different Rikti names attached to the boss dialog for it to be your Rikti Self.
