Going Rogue and Supergroups
No one but the devs know so it is useless to ask. Everyone seems to have the answer or are telling it how they would want it to be, but people don't understand the info hasn't been released yet.

at this point it's possible even the devs don't know
but speculation is
A: keep it easy if char is originally villian only can join vg and vice versa
or they go
B: you can join whichever side sg whenever but leave it if you switch sides
or if we are really lucky
C: Co-op sg's which will require ALOT more work

Wraith Scimitar EM/ EA Brute on Guardian

I would assume they would make it so that if you switch sides you lose contact with your former villainous/heroic brethren.
This insures that heroes and villains would still not be able to trade (moving items through use of salvage and enhancement racks) and would make it as easy as possible to track what is what and who is who.
Co-op SGs? I very seriously doubt it. Not only does it not make sense thematically (The Champions of Paragon allow criminals in their HG? The Killer Spiders have heroes in their VG?), it's a slippery slope to just making the whole game co-op. Forget that mess.
As others have stated though, this is all conjecture. We really just don't know. But just think about it for a second. Would you really want this? Would this be good for the game? The answer to me is clearly no.
What about lolPvP? What will RV be like? lol

there is a D: When you exit the praetorian world you belong to your primary SG. When you enter the preaetorian world you have a sep SG.
I doubt they will do this, but since the praetorian world is a mirror world you'd think you've have a sep SG there as well.

B makes the most sense
I don't want to see co-op supergroups.
I think that the groups in the Rogue area should be separate from both sg and vgs. They should be rougegroups.
That goes for the Markets and Vaults as well. You should get frisked on the way in and on the way out to strip you of what you have on you.
But I've always been for keeping the sides separate.
I don't want to see a merger to gray-dom. I get enough of that in real life.

I think the same thing will apply to the market.
Praetoria or whatever it's called is in a different dimension, so players may have to return to Paragon earth to use the market. That would mean heros couldn't use the redside market until they actually switched sides, and vice versa.
A hero/villain may even lose any items he has stored in slots at the CH when he switches sides because the markets are seperate.

I want my badges and Supergroup to function like my enhancements and trays on multiple builds - When I switch to a villain, I lose all my hero badges and stop being a member of the Supergroup. When I switch back to hero, I lose my villain badges and Villain group, but get my hero badges and supergroup back.

At least in terms of badges, this is what I was hoping for too, and it would certainly make the most sense.
I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.
Does anyone actually have any idea how badges will work? I seriously DONT want to lose my 500+ heroside badges, but I would love to be able to get the hero and villian badges....

No one does, the devs might not even have it fully planned out yet.

If you check the badge listings at places like Vidiotmaps, you will see that the vast majority of badges have a Display Name, and a "V." Display Name - what you see depends on if you are a hero or villain.
See Redeemed and Villain badges.

That's assuming you get to switch multiple times. I would like to be able to do that, but I'm not getting my hopes up about anything. I'll just be disappointed if it's not in GR.

Good point. If there's a corresponding badge for the other faction the name may simply change to the other factions when the switch occurs.

tech-wise, there is no "corresponding badge" - each badge has two names. Depending on if you re tagged hero or villain though, decides which one gets shown.
Respecs would probably be an exception, but Respec badges are funny to begin with (remember the whole "You have to have an Unused/then used respec" issue for the unlock-able contact when it was first available?)

With the new expansion I'm sure we've all heard about, what's there to say about Supergroups, existing and upcoming?
Will you still have to have Hero/Villain only SG's, or will Co-Op SG's be a reality?
Paragon Studios, thanks for all you've done. You've made this a great game, and a great community. I see this as six years well-spent. NCSoft, I'm seriously disappointed in you. This is not how you get or keep customers.
