So, just logged off. Ran almost all of Darrin Wade's arc, with a team varying in size from 3-5 people, 22-25. All of which would fit perfectly fine on any "level 22" team. Took less effort than it has to write this post. Three people, including me, levelled.
I don't see the difficulty. It sure wasn't "tough" in the slightest. It wasn't "tougher" than it has been, certainly. If you look at my reg date, I started about a week earlier than that, and have been here since. I've made my share of teams in that time to compare this to. (And congrats, this is one of the few times I refer to or give a rat's rear about my reg date, because at least in this case, it's relevant.)
So again - I don't know what your difficulty is, unless you're putting such extreme restrictions on yourself that you'll, frankly, never be satisfied.
Do you require everyone to be the exact same level?
Do you require an 8 person team?
Do you require one of each AT, or any specific ATs/powersets?
What is so much more difficult for you when it comes to forming teams? This is not "snark," this is an honest question. What are you doing, looking for, or expecting when you form teams that's making this "more difficult?" To use your own words:

Yes, I did. And I got a team. And kept a team going throughout the majority of a mission arc, and it was certainly not difficult.

I have heard numerous people saying it is hard to find a team and keep one together, also the pvp pop has obviously gone south! Prove me wrong on either of these. in order to prove me wrong on the first thing you need to go into my memory and tell me that i never had experiences when a team was simply not available...You people just agree with each other regardless of how idiotic it is...apparently that is the society we all live in.

Ahh, I see where our differences lie, you like to take 10 minutes to fight Romulus while I and the teams I run with don't, we like to end the fight in less time. Aside from that, my Crab Spider who has Stamina, still requires outside end help (whether it be a /kin or /rad or sucking on blues) when on the last LRSF mission. So I see we won't agree, because while you consider 'highly functional' consists of not needing inspirations (cause like OMG, they're so rare you shouldn't need to use it!) for the toughest encounter in the game (the LRSF) or probably 2% of the entire game, while I consider highly functional only needing to rest once or twice in a mission (and that's solo, in a team setting? Neither of the masterminds actually stop or slow down) or 98% of the game.

Recovery in 6 seconds without stamina = 10
Recovery in 6 seconds with stamina (3 slotted) = 14.9
Or slot 2 end reductions in each and only expend 33.8 end.
Of course the combination of endrec and stamina is better in the heavy AOE case

Once again this refers to 'sometimes' meaning not always, meaning that there are points where you are able to start a team from scratch just as I did IMMEDIATELY before Bill. Refer to sometimes in the dictionary, also refer to the word overall, then get back to me. Long ago, the French - not all that fond of the English longbowmen - threatened to maim them by cutting off a specific finger if they were captured. Well, obviously the longbowmen weren't fond of this. Well I have 3 servers full of toons. Victory, Infinity and Justice.
Of those 3 full servers the number of toons currently possessing Stamina number at 7.
My best blaster (archery/dev) has wiped a 7 man +2 level spawn of Nemesis alone then run back to join the rest of the team and wasn't completely out of end.
Likewise my sonic/elec blaster doesn't have stamina either and is doing fine. In fact, on most teams I'm on...I do the most damage hands down of everyone there(when I'm blasting).
I admit that I try to be highly efficient with how I play. I won't waste a high damage attack on a minion with just a sliver of health, and I leverage Defiance to give me the maximum damage bonus where ever possible. I actually end up mowing through things a lot faster than other people because most people just spam their attacks and run all their toggles.
For people who want to play without much thought, then most of the time they will need Stamina. I've had this argument with a lot of friends in game who swear that you can't do anything without stamina.
That's not true at all. You just need to adjust your tactics and playstyle accordingly. And I will practically never beg for blues.
Heck, my spines/SR is staminaless...and he still kicks serious butt. SR aside, most people will rarely turn off toggles that they don't need or think about switching targets or waiting for the optimal time to use their AoEs or more powerful attacks.
Maybe its just because I've been playing my archery/dev so much lately...but I can't think of a toon I've missed stamina less on.
If you want to solo AVs...then I'm the wrong guy to be talking to...but for the rest of the game, I prefer to get some of my cooler powers early than to use up 3 slots and play without them so I can finally start to take them 2 levels after I get stamina at 20.
I believe the topic has switched from people discussing their personal experiences on the Freedom server some time span prior (X months/issues ago) to now to that of waffles.
I enjoy all manner of waffle myself, but prefer belgian style, not always with accouterments either. Butter, I feel, is not necessary for the enjoyment of waffles or pancakes for that matter.
If we could do a find and replace on this entire thread against "forming a team" and implement "making waffles" the entire thing would make more sense.

First, I been afk damage farming for born in battle (i pvp alot and never have a hard time finding action and i am a freedom native) i have 10 tells in the past hour with no LFT flag up, no description of what i am in my search comment.
You are just doing it wrong, and God doesn't love you.

Lazy people just pick up stamina even though they KNOW its not needed, cuz they rather do an easy build than one that needs a bit of forethought
im a lazy person, i have 30 50s all with stamina, i could easily with IOs and Accolades make staminaless builds and be highly functional but that would require time and effort

And do we go into side discussions on toppings? I had someone try to give me pecan-topped waffles once. Now, I like pecans. Love pecan pie. But as a topping on a waffle, it just didn't work for me.
