Always the ray of sunshine, Trans...
Yeah, I don't really care. I play what I want to play, no matter what the environment around me is.
I can tell you right now that if Corruptors are able to go blue-side, a Fire/anything will be the first thing I make. I'm not a fan of blasters' secondaries at all, but I've been itching to play a Fire/. Using defender-like powers is my ideal AT.

Now you can make a FF/Elec in villain's side no? xD
Fire/FF heroic Corruptor FTW!

They'll care when non-Empaths don't get teams red-side.

Will it be as simple as make a new Villain Empath, or even run a TF and switch sides? That wouldn't be entirely consistent with the reasons given for not proliferating Empathy directly.
I'm expecting to see the Villain AT selection list expanded with "Praetorian" Defender, "Praetorian" Blastet, etc, and the Hero list likewise expanded with "Praetorian" ATs. They can then maintain some limitations on which powers and powersets are available, and on the descriptions and details of the powers too.
I certainly think it would be wise for anyone expecting full and easy transfer of anything and everything to brace themselves for disappointment.

Hmm, I'd create a new Empathy/ Ice Defender and level him to 50 JUST so i could switch him villain side so that he's an appropriate 'arch-nemesis" for my Heroic duo.

Now Now, I get to work my post count too ya know.
Not sure what the big deal is about this; characters will just be playing in Praetorian zones with different story arcs, right? New content is nice, I suppose, though.
forge is the best buff in the game. period. you bet your sweet bippy people will be clamoring for or taking their defenders or controllers red side.
red side versions of forge (in thermal and pain which..gee golly..blue side ALSO HAVE) dont have the +15% defense to all

Empathy rules. But i would love to see a fire/therm based defender like hero. i still dont think i will try vills or switch sides. Hopefully you can still go there and do mishes without messing with ur hero status.

The big deal is now both sides will have access to ALL ATs, and it won't be just in the Praetorian zones. Heroes who go rogue will have access to the Rogue Isles, and Villains who are redeemed will have access to Paragon City. It has ramifications for putting together team throughout the game.

Actually we don't know that. We know that we'll be able to switch sides, but NO idea what that will entail.

We do know that, from the Press Release, from the email, and from Posi's interview:

City of Heroes Going Rogue officially opens the "mirror universe" of Praetoria and an all-new alignment system that explores the shades of gray that lie between Heroes and Villains. For the first time, Hero characters can become Villains and vice versa, enabling Heroes to cross over to the Rogue Isles and Villains to experience Paragon City.

Emphasis mine. It's the whole reason I started this thread!

That was how I read it too. But if we can only play the other side in the new zone it will just be like a villain playing a heroic AE arc or teaming in a coop zone. Kinda disappointing; certainly not worth a paid expansion.
On the other hand... if *real* side switching is allowed... most people will just go heroic, since that's where teaming and the market are easier. Redside will be even more of a ghost town.
Hey. No kicking, no gouging, no biting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

Wait... there's no such thing as the Paretorian Rogue Isles... only Praetoria, which will be co-op. So:
Heroes: Paragon City + Praetoria
Villains: Rogue Isles + Praetoria
Fallen Heroes: Rogue Isles + Praetoria
Redeemed Villains: Paragon City + Praetoria
Bear in mind you can switch sides multiple times, and the survey leaked last year seemed to indicate that you could play a "double agent" role while on the opposite side if you wanted. This last part has not been confirmed, however.

Finally, red-side will be able to bathe in the green aura just like the heroes have for five years!
Seriously, though... will red-side Defenders crowd out Corruptors, or will all the Corrs have left to blue-side anyway so it won't matter?
