Hey! Its another "Give Me Your Characters" thread

Yeah yeah, I know we see these all the time, but I'm excruciatingly lazy and can't be expected to go through these other past threads to find what I want. That's just silly.

As I've mentioned elsewhere... school is out for summer! Yay! And I have new art toys! Yay! And I'm not horribly over-loaded with commissions at the moment! Yay! This means I need some characters to do some sketches of.

Basically, please post in here some of your characters and backstories. Or link to places where they're nicely put together. I want a thread I can go to to pick out some characters to do sketches and such of. You might even get some original marker work in the mail if I'm provided with some sort of shipping address.

I'm not committing to a timetable and can only do this through about mid-August, but I really want to have some art fun this summer before going into a much heavier courseload at college in the fall. I already started doing this privately and Invincibelle should be finished shortly.... c'mon, I can't be a REAL artist around here without Invincibelle work!

Ooh, Wassy Artz. Well then, if you like, try this one on for size: the Dark Dragon, a character of a friend of mine. His in-game appearance regrettably doesn't capture the character well at all (mostly due to the lack of access to cloaks/robes like that of the Circle of Thorns; he'd slip one of those on in a heartbeat ), so would be nice if you'd see what you can do with that.

My friend's also got an amusing little sketch of him from a while back, though sadly the artist disappeared somewhere. It's much closer to his true appearance than the game screenshot, and though it's still not quite where it should be (what with the missing tail and stuff), I hope it helps get a better overall mental image.

Well there Miss Wassy, I have a few close up picks of VexXxa that you may use if you'd would like and if u have time. The pics are in my sig below. She is my very first villain who is a fire/therm corr who just happens to be the sister of my very first hero named Khrymsun who is a fire/kin controller. Even though they are on opposite sides, they still are tied together by the special connection and bond that only sisters can share. So when one is in trouble, the other comes to the rescue.

Oohhh I would LOVE something of Flame! Have always wanted something commissioned by you, I'm just too poor.

Anyway if you decide to do her, let's see, a bit of backstory... in a huge nutshell...

Flame (Scintilla Rose) spent her childhood in the High park neighborhood of Kings Row. When she was fourteen her apartment complex was caught up in the center of a Skulls Raid. Her parents had just enough time to hide her in a crawlspace but unfortunately it was too late to save themselves, and they were both murdered. Afterwards she pledged a genocide of sorts against the skulls and and joined the Hellions. When she was nineteen she was already a Fallen Lt. and led a group of Hellions into Skulls territory to plant explosives. Unfortunately they were found out, and all killed.

And so, again in a huge nutshell, Scintilla was given a second chance and resurrected by the Guardian of the Watchtower of the South and blessed with the power to completely control his element: Fire. Now she spends her times protecting Paragon from evil magicks (usually in croatoa).

Vivace is a cowgirl (can't tell by this costume, but her classic one is all cowgirl) who was raised in Wyoming, but when her electrical powers manifested, it caused a huge lightning storm that caused the grasslands to catch fire. The resulting blaze killed her parents, and Vivace fled to the place where heroes were gathering (Paragon City) to be trained in how to use her powers and make something of herself. She has, and has been awarded the Hero of the City badge to prove that she went through the entire 50 levels of training.

Oh man, I've wanted art for my villain for forever!!

Dr. Waltz is a former Crey scientist that developed an intrusive program, code named Tyrant, that was to be used to infect and sieze control of robots. The program was installed into a cybernetic organ that Dr. Waltz had implanted in himself. Shortly after the operation, he began exhibiting megalomaniacal traits and began taking control of robots for illegal uses. He was caught and jailed by a hero named Techsupport. After escaping the Zig he took the name Tyrant Protocol and now plans to create a robot nation under his command.

Yeah, it definitely works. Of all those costumes, I think that's the one that really says "Flame Enchantress". I'd definitely consider selecting that as your signature look.

Neat, thanks for all the options to choose from! And feel free to keep posting, too. I also don't mind the threadjacking ^.^

Basically, I'm just gonna mess around with what catches my attention and take it where it wants to go. I know a good chunk is going to be marker work because my Copics are still new and shiny, but I may be in a more pencil mood or want to try out a digital effect or something.....

So... it shall be a grab-bag of Wassy Artz.
