For shame! Any Firefly fan would pick up the "shiny" reference. And if they're a Firefly fan like me, subsequently burst into tears over the painful reminder of the greatest show EVAR (second only to MST3K) not getting a chance.

Best TV series to never get a chance. It originally aired on Broadcast Network I forget I wanna say Fox or NBC. It was canceled after one or two seasons. The Sci-Fi channel picked it up and ran it in it's entirety where it was received very well...It prompted the making of the movie Serenity. I think the movie may have been made first.
