Salutations Mission Architects!

Following in the footsteps of the greats like the Seven Samurai, Giant and Gone with the Wind, epic movies have sweeping landscapes, intriguing characters and captivating story lines that pull in the audience and take them on a memorable adventure.

I seek epic arcs that are 4-5 missions long and have less than 100 ratings.

The Epics should have strong characters, compelling storyline and pacing that holds through each mission until the end. Use of maps, custom characters and other MA tools should be connected to the storyline.

I will give feedback to the directors/writers/producers using the MA feedback system. A longer summary will be posted in this thread as well. I’ll be running the missions primarily on my Illusion/Storm controller, but will change alts as the mission dictates. Typically I’ll run on Difficulty Level 3 and will turn down if necessary.

Please list your Arc ID # and any other information you deem necessary.

Thank you for your time,

Alty

Also, if you have a shorter or medium length arc, please post in my other review threads:
The Independents (1 mission)

The Sequels (2-3 missions)

Dibs!

*Ahem*

I'd love some feedback on my 5-mission Epic Arc: Of Mentors and Legacy.

ID: 1589

5 missions ranged 35-54 (well, one is 30-54), very story-centric, and with a big fight with 2 AVs at the end (you'll have help tho!).

Sitting at 9 ratings and 4 stars (it was at 8 ratings and 5 stars before), trying to figure out if there's something I could add to make it more 5-starry

Thanks!

Thanks for the review offer. I have two arcs to nominate - if you only want one per person, please pick whichever one you think looks more appealing.

The Sleeping Star (ID 53951, 45-50, heroic)
A young girl's friend has gone missing, and she'd like you to help search for her.
(with one of the AVs, you have an ally. The other is optional. Kheldians may have trouble in the first mission, (bring purples?) but will be fine after that)

Through Rose-Tinted Glasses (ID 101681, villainous, 40-50)
Elspeth Wallace is a senile old lady. Elspeth Wallace knows many secrets. Elspeth Wallace thinks you're Manticore... wait, what? This could be weird... but profitable. (2 Signature AV/EBs)

Hmm... I'm not sure how 'epic' it is, but my five-mission, stuffed-to-the-breaking-point-with-story arc "How to Survive a Robot Uprising" (#12669) could probably claim to a memorable character or two, and a reasonably solid plotline.

It could also use some love, as it's got less than 30 runs >.O

Feel free to be merciless- it's done, but I'm not 100% sure it's 'finished', if you know what I mean >.<

Thank you for letting me know, I wasn't aware of that.

Also if any authors want to keep the feedback private, just request in your posts. I'm more than happy to deliver the feedback as you like.

I have one I just posted earlier today. Definitely want some comments on it since it's a fresh publish, and I know it needs more. I was just tired of looking at it and testing the past few days. :P

Arc ID: 111352
Title is Fallen Angel: Crossing Over
Villainous arc with mostly 35-54 range missions. Trying to create an arc where my main Hero, an nrg/dev blaster, switches sides, and becomes my main villain, an nrg/rad corr. Most interested in reviews of the storyline and pacing. Be as harsh as you deem necessary and I'll do what I can to make it better.

Less than 100, right? ...well, Dream Paper probably has fewer than 100 plays, given how often I've seen "someone voted on 'arcname'" right when it got back to 5 stars.

But for purposes of this thread, I have two qualifying arcs.

"The Bravuran Jobs" (5073) is a villainside arc - because of the way Carnies currently work it's not recommended for a hero that can't take level 40 carnies natively. It's a bit heavy on "self-motivation" in the villainous style, though.

"Bricked Electronics" (2180) is a lowbie (sub-20) heroside arc, and it works as low as level 6 and perhaps even lower. It ends with a few mysteries left unsolved, but if you've played enough villainside arcs you may be able to work them out.

The mission in my signature has way less than 100 plays, 3 at last count. Any feedback you could give would be wonderful, especially when it comes to the custom group.

Giving feedback? Yes, feedback is something I can always use. For your consideration:

"This Is War, Part I - the Revenge of Hro'Dtohz" (1356) - an expansion on the events of the Rikti War Zone and the Lady Grey Task Force, and IMO what a 'real' Rikti invasion should be like: on a large scale, chaos everywhere, heroes and villains alike scrambling just to survive the onslaught of the Rikti Lord of War - and you're caught right in the middle of it, along with some rather unusual characters that likely won't be what you expect.

While this was structured in the manner of a task force, and thus a team is highly recommended, I'm fairly confident that I've managed to make this soloable. You may still want to bring a partner or two to make things easier, but shouldn't outright need them.

And not quite as epic, since the story in this one is on a significantly smaller scale (though I like to think it presents some questions and insights, as well as a chuckle or two to make up for it), but something I can still use feedback on:

"Hunthing the Dark Dragon" (2922) - without revealing too many details, the Circle of Thorns attempts to add dragons to their supernatural hordes, and as is quite typical for their magical rituals, something goes horribly wrong. Or does it? After all, something bad for one side might be good for the other. In the end, the choice will be yours to make.

This arc can be tough for support ATs, even supposed 'powerbuilds' that are used to steamrolling paper missions. Thus I recommend you bring along someone who can hold aggro, and for the final boss (if you end up facing him) at least a few competent teammates.

I believe all my arcs folllow your criteria.

Blargrimmar Wants You! (4572) is a light-hearted comedy arc while A Tangle in Time (2622) and Eclipse Over Paragon (64609) are more serious stories. Take your pick, though Eclipse has the least ratings so you can go for that if you want.

If you'd like, give my arc Something Comes to Yarmouth a shot (arcID:58812). It's a minimum level of 25, has one EB, one AV and I've been told the custom group that shows up towards the end is on the challenging side of things.

Count me in! My arc's ID is 36492, and the name is "The Saga of Uuralur."

This arc focuses on one of the other Aspects of Rularuu other than the ones we have at the moment (Faathim, Ruladak, and Lanaruu)
This story arc is NOT reccomended to be soloed, but maybe the hardiest of Heroes can do it. The final mission's ending is EXTREMELY difficult, but not impossible as you will have backup.
This Story arc is 4 missions long, with 2 Defeat alls, and 3 EBs/AVs.
If I get enough positive reception, I may make another story arc focusing on the other Aspects of Rularuu.

Please critique so I can make this story arc more enjoyable for future players!

Check my sig, there is an AV/EB at the end based on your difficulty setting. Was designed for a solo experience on Heroic.

Well, I'll give this a try. I've been told that I have some strong story in these ones and I hope you agree! They only have 56 and 20 ratings, respectively.

Title: Blitzkrieg
Arc ID: 3416
Creator’s Global Name: @Mekkanos
Orientation: Villainous
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: A simple investigation into Malta Group activity turns into a fight for the freedom of heroes everywhere as you uncover the sinister Project: Blitzkrieg
Number of EB/AVS: 3
Mission Count: 5
Estimated Time to Play: 1-2 hours depending on how fast you go through

Note – This one's quite story-oriented, expanding upon aspects of canon I've been interested in for a while. As for the AV/EB fights, the first one is optional and you will have an AV/EB helper for the second two. Hopefully, this will make the story doable.

Title: Soldiers of Fortune
Arc ID: 4431
Creator’s Global Name: @Mekkanos
Orientation: Villainous
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: Battle two ruthless mercenary groups for an ancient item of power alongside some unusual allies!
Number of EB/AVS: 1
Mission Count: 5
Estimated Time to Play: 1-2 hours depending on how fast you go through.

Note - This story highlights a custom group I made but doesn't make them the sole focus of the arc. As with Blitzkrieg, it ties in a lot with the canon lore. I should let you know that the arc is oriented around the 30-35 range, so you'll spend pretty much the entire arc at 34-35 if your character is 50.

Hope you enjoy them!

I'm not sure how many runs it's had since I haven't been able to play this week, but the arc in my signature is 5 missions and deals with the Praetorians. Lots of AV/EB class mobs, but I think I provided enough help so a solo player won't get totally pummeled. (And hopefully not too much to make it a cakewalk.)

To throw in the hook...I've got the cusstomized Praetorian versions of the Arachnos villains (who are, in fact, heroes trying to save and protect Upsilon Beta 9-6) in this. I always wondered why there wasn't some sort of "good" Praetorian arc in CoV.

It's also best understood if you know the story arc "A Hero's Hero" from Peregrine Island (the one where you fight Tyrant).

Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!

Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.

Name: The Descender
ID: 33034
Morality: Villainous. If your not comfortable with world domination, steer clear.
Length: Very Long, around an hour to two hours, depending on team makeup and build.
Difficulty: Moderate-Hard. Plenty of AV's, but plenty of help with them. One of the few arcs that is actually easier solo, due to the difference between AV's and EB's. (And it makes a better story solo)
Groups: Coralax, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns, Custom Group (The Virtea)

This is my stab at exploring the mythos behind the Coralax, one one the most enigmatic and underused villain groups in the game. It is also a world domination arc, so it is VERY non-canon.

I have an arc with only 6 plays so far. 4 stars. There's a link to a comic book cover in my sig I made to promote it as well. It's called Revenge is a Dish Best Served From My Cold Dead Fingers. 5 missions. Heavy on the story. I'd love some feedback on it. Thanks in advance!
