No, that's not what I'm asking for. Actually I'm not asking for anything since I'm not the OP, or did you not notice that?. All I did was mention that it should be possible to add it as an animation, not as an actual weapon.

    3.35367e+29 possible choices.

If you take CaSe into account that shoots up R to 55, giving this value as a result.

    1.22871e+33

    Thats a huge number.

Consider that the combined mass of all matter in the solar system is only something like 10^34kilograms.

    A billion is 10^9

Give each billion a billion things thats 10^18

Give each of those megatrillions a billion things thats 10^24, and you still have to give those quintillions some thousands of billions MORE, EACH, to get to 10^33

People complaining about names being unavailable simply have insufficient imagination.

    End of argument.
Of course, included in that huge number are "Superman." Xx Batman xX" and "Spider-M4n"

Logical desire based on objective reasoning: When I want something.

Bab's post doesn't address what I'm talking about at all. It's not weapon based, it's just a visual effect. No draw, etc. Just like fire swords, ice swords, etc.

Not true at all. Several sets have "weapons" that animate for single powers in the set: Stone, Ice and Fire melee.

Now, they wouldn't be able to work as customizable weapons like BS or Katana, but they already allow customization of the ice and fire melee swords, so there's no reason at all that they couldn't allow a nunchuck animation set as an alternate for the MA powers.

And as for the other topic at hand. Scenario:

I am giving one million bags of free peanuts out to one million people, for the sheer sake of being nice. Five people, it turns out, are allergic to peanuts. I don't have any alternatives, but that's okay--they don't eat the peanuts. One of them, however, accuses me of secretly trying to murder him. Clearly, the other 999,999 bags of peanuts are a ruse, and my murder plot has failed.
You just wrote Hollywood's next Summer Tentpole film!

It is tricky, since it's a drug, not quite the same as say Iron Man who's just a normal guy without the suit, so not quite as obviously tech, but the rest of your examples have been changed for good by their encounters with weird sciences. Is there an example of another chemically dependant SPB (preferably in the COH canon) that we could use as a precedent?
Only other I can think of right now that needs to continually top-up is Johhny Quick from the Earth 2 Crime Syndicate.
Off the top of my head:

    Hourman
    Captain Trips (Wildcards)

There are also a lot other of examples of temp power-giving drugs/chemicals in comics: Gingold (as originally presented, though it got a lot of retconning later), Mutant Growth Hormone, Velocity 9...

    I'm sure there are more.

    My MA Challenge

So, with the release of the Martial Arts Booster pack I decided to make a new scrapper. This is him:

His name is Kid Scorpion, and he's a teenage Natural MA/WP scrapper. The only problem is, he doesn't have an origin or a backstory. All he's got are some powers and a funky homemade costume.

So, my challenge to any MA writer that wants to try it is: Write me an origin story. It should be appropriate for a level 1 - 5 character, and answer some of the fundamental origin questions for any hero: How did he get his powers? Who are his enemies? Who do the villains kidnap when we need to crank up the drama? Why does he wear that crappy costume? and where in the **** did he get a working nemesis staff?

Your reward: Umm, I'll say thanks, and tell you you're awesome? If I choose your arc as the best of any that I get, I'll play and rate another of your arcs of your choosing and recommend it for Dev's Choice.

So come on someone, tell me a story!

Edit: I took the natural origin for the throwing knife, the actual origin story wouldn't necessarily need to limit itself to an actual "natural" origin.

    Would You Buy...

A lot of people don't even use the base feature at all, and only a tiny fraction of those that do are builders, so I can't see spending resources on such a narrowly targetted Booster being very profitable.

If anything they should go back and redo that one.
You must be crazy. Personally I'd have paid $50 just for the Super-Tailor, forget all the other stuff in the science booster. Ninja run I take or leave. Most of my builds have room for travel powers, but being able to change bodies and height at the tailor was more than worth it to me.
  13. I also think it will be more about what players create rather than what teams want. I already would never play a tank, just because to me they're low damage makes them ungodly boring. GIven the option to play a Brute hero side, I see the tank becoming near extinct just because the options are more fun to play. That doesn't mean existing tanks won't get teams, just that there will be few new ones.

Cool, if that's the case I will try to make it out there. Don't want to take a spot from anyone that's already been playing, but if you have less than 8 come, I'll join up. Thanks.
  15. Curious if you're still taking members or not. Don't have a character on Triumph, but sounded like fun.
  16. I've always liked the idea of Doms, but never liked their actual implementation that well, so I tested this a little, and looked over the numbers. The nerfs outweigh the buffs, leaving Doms still the worst, most underperforming AT in the game as far as I can tell. Still no reason to play one.
  17. From the Wildcards series of books: Damsel. Just a regular girl, but if she felt a strong enough attraction for a guy, she could give them super powers, or greatly increase powers if the guy already had some.
  18. Because games aren't comics. Games have to consider things like advancement, balance, team utility, etc.
  19. Simple solution: Stop trying to fight them, and let people make all the farms they want. Then allow people to tag their mission as "Farm" or "not Farm". This will allow people to filter out farms if they don't want to see them, and everyone can play their own way and be easily able to find the types of missions they want.

you know, i15 was probably supposed to be with Custom critters in i14, haning i13 split to "power and responsibiliy" and 'architect" screwed the schedule, i15's low amount of...stuff is the outcome

You're double dipping...they already blamed I14's lack of non-MA content on the custom creatures being added.

    Looking for VG

Looking for an active VG that teams regularly on Freedom, especially one that has does SFs on a regular basis. Not looking for handouts or PLing, just people to do the group content with. I have a few 50s, but mainly I'm leveling an SS/SD brute right now.

    I rated this arc * * *

Good: Funny in places, 'contact' text well written.
Bad: Mediocre and long(ish) middle mission, maybe a bit too much like the TV arc.

The contact for this arc is the Computer. The description for this arc was "Listen to the computer. The computer is your friend." so I was hoping for the Paranoia Computer. I was disappointed (though I was called a Commie at one point so that helped) when I found that the contact was a Computer, in a similar way to the Television or Radio.

The writing style is a lot like the style used by the Television, and that is no bad thing. It has you reading a blog that tells you about problems going on in the world. Problems from the point of view of Computer. One such 'problem' is a raid on a set of computer pirates. This mission is eaisly the best, with most of the most amusing elements found here. It also pokes fun simultaeneously at the pirates and RIAA, and starts to look like some good social satire.

Mission 2 is drag. It's the most 'serious' mission, and has some nice custom mobs in it. Sadly this mission falls right into the middle ground. It isn't funny enough to get any marks that way, it's not hard enough to get any marks for challange, there is no 'in mission' story and it has a fair number of objectives on an outdoor map. The contact's lead up to the mission is pretty good, but other than that - I'd remove it.

Mission 3 gets back into the swing of things, having a very funny lead up (well to me anyway) - and the boss in mission is also quite funny (though does anyone get the reference of "Taste vanilla rain!" in relation to computing, or ice). Sadly he's the only speaking role in the final mission, and it feels a little empty other than him.

This arc was very close to getting 4 *'s, entirely removing mission 2 would certainly have done it as would have a little more going on in mission 3. There is great potential here, I may well be keeping a look out for more @DK242-B arcs.

In short an amusing arc (especially if you liked the TV), that simply needs a boost in the middle to make it a very good arc indeed.

    Thanks for the review

Oh, Vanilla rain was me making fun of this
  23. If the navigation "plural" text is identical between two diff objectives, then it will auto combine those.
